(Not sure how much the tea was but really, you can't get much cheaper for a lunch buffet that I know of. The choices are okay, I wouldn't say extensive by any means. The meat area is all set up in square metal tins in a huge self-serving area. There were huge caldrons of stews and soups which looked good but neither of us tried any of those. And now for the Negative side: While we were immediately seated upon walking in. We couldn't get a server or a menu for a few minutes. We both looked at each other as the serves were rushing by and finally we held up our hand. Maybe they assumed we knew what to do? I guess assumed we were getting the buffet. Once we received the menu and looked it over, we decided to do the buffet. Normally, I really dislike buffets because well, everything is just sitting there starting at you, begging to be taken off the table. But since we were committed and famished, we decided to just go with it. Thankfully, my husband enjoys barbequing...so I never hesitate to take him to eat Korean BBQ. No one in this city cares if you walk around smelling like a BBQ so it's all good! I also really liked that we were able to determine the right amount of "doneness" because some of the meat looked a little sketchy if you know what I mean. As for the taste. The papaya and fungus hit the right spot for me. I wish I was hungrier as I would have definitely eaten more if I could. By dessert time, I was also feeling a slight discomfort in my stomach, and didn't get to try as many desserts as I'd liked. Everything was good, but the only reservations I had was about some of the meat. It gave me the impression that it may have sat out there for a while, as pools of bloody water was collecting at the bottom. And when we were cooking it, stuff oozed out of it that was indication about their having been defrosted. I avoided the chicken just in case. But in general all their meats were very well marinated. We came at 16:30 so we received the $180 per head deal for the shabu shabu goodness. Even on a Saturday, it was fairly empty inside with servers that looked nonchalant as they were passing out food to tables. Upon seating, you choose your main stock and have your go at the vegetables and cheaper-meats lying on the counter. There's also soft drinks and beer included in your price. The biggest trick here is that you're supposed to order off the "RicePon' app on your device. WHAT!? It took us about ten minutes before we realized that nobody was going to come to our table until we downloaded the app and ordered online. This explains why the service was pretty meh at the beginning- they don't come to you until you order. Nobody even told us we were supposed to do it this way, and I can speak/understand Canto. The app is fairly straight forwarded and if you can't read Chinese, they have photos associated with a majority of their items. Once you select the premium items including thinly sliced beef and pork, sushi, sashimi, etc. they'll bring them out to your table one by one. We ended up ordering three rounds of meat and seafood for our pot and had a blast. The slices of beef were definitely good and the freedom to order non-meat items made this one for the books. They've got the staples as well as some rarer stuff like the coconut steamed egg, fish balls and steamed fish head. When you hit lunch time, their roast meats are surprisingly good. Especially the meaty roast pork. It sounds silly but the meat flavor really comes through. Enjoy it while you can.

Don't matter you change your mind in terms of wanting more chicken as this too is unlimited so get more if your heart so desires. Once seated, you get your sauce (garlic, chili oil, dried chili's), drinks (soda, Coconut water, beer, juices..) random foods out for grabs like dumplings, & tofu skin rolls etc. Then once the chicken pot hits the table, wait for it to cook a little more then you are free to grub. Conveniently located at Nathan Road near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, we decided to have our final meal in Hong Kong at Daikiya Japanese Restaurant. It's a very solid all-you-can-eat option with two thick notebooks of pictured items to choose from. The raw and the cooked, the fish and the meat, the meal and the dessert... Sashimi - The usual suspects abound (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc.), but they also have hokkigai (surf clam), amaebi (sweet shrimp), Hokkaido hotate (scallop), and nishin (Japanese herring with roe). Served on a bed of ice and decorated with artificial flowers, each platter was well-plated... and delicious! Nigiri - There are plenty of winners here, but let's focus on the one that topped the list - Grilled Scallop with Crab Oil and Garlic. Seared enough to give that burnt flavor, dabbed with crab oil, then topped with roasted garlic... Need I say more? This was the highlight of our meal and, yes, my younger daughter and I had this over and over and over! Worthy runners-up - Grilled Flatfish and Prawn with Black Fish Roe. Rolls - An assortment of maki (sushi roll), temaki (hand roll), gunkan-maki (ship roll), and sashimi rolls was on the menu as well, but we were able to try only a few. The Mango and Soft-Shell Crab Roll was too small and had more cucumber than anything else. There simply were better options to be had. Grilled - Surf and Turf! Shrimp, scallop, oyster, lamb chop, beef, chicken, pork, and even pineapple. The best dish was the Sautéed Diced Beef with Garlic. Perfectly seasoned and cooked medium, these beef chunks were so tender and tasty! Dessert - Gotta save room for some (or all) of these - mochi, macaron, ice cream, tiramisù, brownie, crème brûlée, fruit, nut, and so on. We indulged in their special Milk Top, which had a limit of one flavor per person. We tried the Romantic Moment and Green Tea Harmony, which had soft-serve ice cream, red bean/paste, mochi balls, jellies, and rice crispies. The only way to cap off an AYCE! After restocking on calories, we were ready to head back to the hotel and then to HKIA. Daikiya was just what the doctor ordered to fill up our bellies before leaving.
