My mom and I went to try this buffet two weeks ago in Wanchai. I made reservations online. Once we got to Hopewell Centre, we had to take the elevator to the 56th floor and had to queue up for another elevator that took you to the 62nd floor. It's a love and hate relationship with this buffet place. Let's start off with the pros: The view of Hong Kong was beautiful especially during the 6pm seating. You can see both the day view and the night view during your meal. I love that the restaurant rotates 360 degrees within an hour so you can see every angle. The buffet had a lot of variety from salads, sashimi, sushi, cold seafood, steamed seafood, barbecued meats, hot dishes, desserts and a chocolate fountain. The salmon and especially the scallop sashimi was phenomenal! The sashimi was very fresh. The abalone/fish maw/sea cucumber dish was really good. Although the abalone was not big, it was very tender and delicious. The pan fried foie gras was to die for! It was delicious on top of small slices of toast. Out of all the desserts, the durian creme brulee was spectacular. It was full of durian flavor and very creamy. So yummy! They also have an a la carte wine bar which was pretty cool but I didn't get a chance to try it. The cons: I was very disappointed with the wagyu beef for it was not very tender. The lamb chops were very fatty and chewy. After we got seated, one of the waiters said that we can go up and grab food. As we went to grab our initial plate to get food, another waitstaff said that we cannot get food yet for it is not time. He even held out his hand for me to give back the plate. I'm like "What?" Then, why bother letting us into the restaurant? Another party behind us said "But the other waiter said that we can go up and grab food." Then, the second waiter talked to the initial waiter and said we can go now. That was a big turnoff! I think they started bringing out the abalone/sea cucumber dish like 45 minutes after the initial seating started. It was the first thing that I was looking for in the buffet and I was initially disappointed that they didn't serve abalone. I'm glad I found it after my third round walking around the buffet. We only had a two hour time limit at the buffet. Around 7pm, the waitstaff already started to pass out the bills to every single table. If there is a two hour time limit, why bother having so many reservation times? There should only be seating reservations at 6pm and 8:30pm. You are only limit to one complimentary drink of either hot/iced coffee, or hot/iced tea. If I didn't read the reviews about this restaurant, I would not have known. They should have explicitly told customers about it. I noticed that other diners didn't even know about this feature. Overall, I give this place 3 stars. For the quality of the scallop sashimi and abalone/fish maw/sea cucumber and the beautiful day/night view of HK, I might come back again. However, they really need to improve on their service!

In 2016 we were blown away by both the variety and quality of gastronomic delights. Yesterday we dined there again (what's the lunch form of dined?) and again, were not disappointed. Especially good were the dim sum, tempura, Japanese barbecue pork & chicken wings, yuzo sorbet, and sea salted butterceam cake; the sheer variety makes it difficult to try every thing in the allotted 2.5 hour timeframe. Cuisines range from Chinese fried rice and stir fried beef, to 'beyond meat' (same as A&W) sliders, crab legs, a ramen/ udon station, dim sum, tempura, sushi & sashimi, to *proper* macarons (sorry, but it's blasphemous to put chocolate buttercream in almost every flavour - looking at you, Le Village Buffet in Vegas). Add to this the fact that it's a spotless, well maintained revolving restaurant with a spectacular view; it's the best buffet we've experienced (outside of DCL); besting even the ones we've tried in Vegas (although Wynn's in Vegas and Tulalip Resort in WA are our next favourites). The Mrs was so stuffed yesterday that she ended up skipping dinner! 9.5/10. The only downsides to the Grand Buffet are a lack of everyday fare (no pizzas, only a tossed oil seafood pasta; no cream sauce or bolognaise), the revolving nature means you can get lost finding your table, and its popularity means even booking a month in advance couldn't get us a window side table.

The food here are excellent, there are plenty of choices you can choose from, for example ( Chinese Dim Sum to Barbecue Pork, Lobster , Sushi, Prime Rib, Lamb Chop and Fois Gras...you name it!! The desserts are also amazing!! The restaurant is located on top of HopeWell Center 62nd floor and you will also experience 360 degree view of Hong Kong since it is the Hong Kong most famous rotating restaurant ( You sometimes will get lost when you try to find your seat since it's rotating when you getting your food ). Reservation is a very important key factor since their phones are always engaged and they couldn't really reply by email since more than 3,000 emails a day ( One of the manager explained to me ). The best way to secure your table is coming over and make your reservation directly with the reception ( I was thrilled when I saw the line people queue up for their reservation for the coming months ). Overall was a great experience and I will be back soon ^^

The Grand Buffet This is a 360 degree revolving restaurant with the circular dining area along the edge of the tower. So we can actually keep changing our window views, (if you are lucky enough to have the window seats), from Wanchai mountain view to Central, Seaview of Victoria Harbour, viewing Kowloon ICC across Tsim Sha Tsui in a distance, then back to close up - bird view of Wanchai, Causeway bay, Eastern District of island side to Wanchai again in 2 hours. This is also a reminiscence of the 'R66' restaurant in the same place between 1972 and 2012. The restaurant R66 was named 66 because it revolved one full round in 66mins. Today it takes almost 2 hours. It seems time run faster in the past. Time flies and perhaps this is one of the reason why people as me would like to revisit. This is also an addition of their parent restaurant in Macau with the same name in Grand Lisboa Hotel. Here in HK, the grand buffet is good in variety, food quality, scenic view, attentive service, if you are a visiting tourists, this is a must come. If you a local, I think once is enough, next time may back to my all time buffet favourite Cafe too in island Shangrila unless you invite me. Hee hee:) Thank you!

On this latest visit, it was Halloween themed and I have to give credit to the Pastry Department ... they are so creative in making the desserts both " scary " in a good way and of course tasty! Seafood, Sushi, Chinese, Indian, Halal, Carvery, Desserts and much much more is displayed in a user friendly way, its all spread out in different section where there is never too much of a line-up even when its super busy! Service is friendly and efficient, staffs also dressed up for the occasion and this year their theme is Harry Potter! Free valet parking when your bill is over HK$600.00

They kicked off the holiday buffet early this year (in November), and the vibes are really cool, lots of neon lights and beautiful Christmas decor right at the entrance. The food quality is unbelievable. We actually had a hard time deciding what to grab first! * Seafood: The selection is luxurious. They have an expensive cold seafood tower, fresh lobster, sashimi, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and fish. * Meat Station: The variety is unimaginable. They have everything from Spanish hams and roasted beef to Japanese BBQ meats and Tandoori chicken. * Noodles: Don't skip the noodle station; the Hong Kong noodles and Singapore Laksa were great. The dessert station is so expansive I can't even remember all the selections, but I stuck to the Chinese desserts and loved the egg tarts and the grass jelly with red bean. Service was super attentive the whole night. Pro-tip: We bought our buffet tickets on the KKday app and got a 15% discount. Definitely check there before you book!

This is my first try of this famous Seafood Themed Buffet, they serve seasonal seafood and other delicacies. I particularly like how they serve small portions of each items so as to ensure freshness and proper serving temperature. Snow crab legs are served chilled; not salty like some other places, and it's continuously refilled right up to closing time! Highlight are the freshly shucked Oysters; tonight's choices are Coffin Bay & a New Zealand Variety, the Coffin Bay is slightly sweeter and lighter in texture, yet the New Zealand is more creamy and richer, both extremely fresh as they are shucked to order. Other mentionable items are the Grilling station with Sirloin, the cut is slightly thin but that makes more sense as you don't want to be filled up by just one item! Meat is extremely tender and juicy and was cooked to order! Surprise Items: Hot Pot Crab Rice, Baby Abalone, and Ma La Mussels! At HK$438.00 (Monday to Thursday) HK$458.00 (Friday to Sunday and holidays)I find this to be very very reasonable, Fruit Juices, Coffee and Tea are all inclusive in the price, plus valet parking is available. Of course there is a 10% service charge (well worth it, staffs are friendly and helpful, continues clearing your plates automatically!) Also, enquirer about Credit Cards Special Discounts!

So many times had I walked right past it when going to HMV, not knowing that Cafe One was actually part of the Park Lane Hotel! I've only been here once for a friend's birthday dinner, and it was a more than satisfying buffet. The selection of food was great - to start with, I made multiple trips to the salad bar and had loads of salmon - both the smoked salmon and the sashimi. The salmon sashimi was really fresh and I probably ate more than ten pieces! There was pan-fried goose liver as well, which was absolutely divine - it was just melt-in-your-mouth goodness. There was also this baked potato with a layer of melted cheese as well, which was really good too but would've been better if it was hot instead of just warm. I've never really been the kind of person to eat a lot of the mains at a buffet, but this was an exception - the roast beef was really, really good. It was nice and tender and the gravy that came it just brought out its flavor even more! There was a pasta bar as well, where I opted for farfalle in cream sauce with mushroom and bacon. The portion for this was quite small so I actually went back for seconds. They had a pretty good variety for dessert too. There was Haagen Dazs, which frankly speaking is already enough to satisfy me! The chocolate cake was a little dry, but the coffee pudding was great. There was a chocolate fountain too, but unfortunately they had run out of marshmallows and strawberries (it was well past eleven by then) so I could only have it with melon. I would definitely recommend Cafe One for a decent hotel buffet. The variety of food was great and I wasn't disappointed by anything really, besides that they never refilled the marshmallows and the strawberries for the fountain. Service was good too and my plate was always gone by the time I returned with a new plate of food.

Located inside the 4-star 22-year-old Novotel Century along Jaffe Road, you'll have to climb a flight of semi-spiral stairs to get to the restaurant on the first floor. Immediately, you'll notice the brown zig-zag design pattern of the restaurant and the buffet table to your left. Larger tables are placed further into the restaurant while those nearest the buffet table are for groups of 6 or less. If you book online for lunch, there's a 15 percent discount which makes it all sweeter. For healthy eaters, there's a full salad bar chock-full of different types of greens (think Romaine lettuce) and a raw area for sushi and mollusk eaters. The adjacent table has cooked food - I avoid eating rice during buffets because I can eat rice anywhere. I'm here for the good stuff - curry croquettes, lamb chops, and a plethora of meat-and-veg and baked fish dishes. There's also dinky "homemade" pizza slices by the other counter but I would rather avoid that because hey, you can eat better pizza elsewhere. On to the pancake-making machine, where a lot of people line up to get six or more pancakes. You press how many you want and the machine makes it. Simple as that. I find it a bit slow though, probably why the line is so long. To the side, there are a couple of different syrups but no maple. Bummer. Some people move on to the ice cream section where they mix the two together. They have textbook flavors - vanilla, chocolate, strawberry - but is satisfying nonetheless. Tip: eat the food that you usually can't eat elsewhere or can't prepare at home due to time/skill constraints. In my opinion, this is the best bang for your buck (and stomach).

The name is as literal as can be, as…read moreHarbourside sits on the Kowloon side staring at one of the most stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline (as is the rest of the Intercontinental). From a food front, the spread is luxurious as it is enormous. The variety is a bit dizzying and completely overwhelming for the average hungrier than life patron. At $500-900HKD, it's almost hard to see where the value lies. Is it the ambiance (which is breathtaking), the service (which is superb), or the quality of the food (which is good for a buffet)? I'd have to say it's a little bit of everything. If all you can eat in an high end setting sounds appealing to you, then this is one of the better hotel buffets in Hong Kong. The seafood selection is the place where most folks tend to get the most bang for their buck. From mussels, clams, prawns, and limited oysters, there is also snow crab legs and lobster claws. Occasionally there are whole crabs and lobsters, which usually taste like they've been frozen. The sushi is an easy skip, due to the terrible presentation and slim cuts, but the sashimi, particularly the salmon, is quite good. There is also a decent variety of smoked salmon, which seems to be one of the most popular items in any HK buffet. The Italiano section features various breads, cold cuts, and cheeses. There is a pasta station, but it's closer to the middle where the hot foods are prepared. The dried fruits selection is nicely paired with the various cheeses ranging from gruyere to bleu. This area is not particularly impressive on its own, but decent for variety's sake. Hodgepodge is the best way I can describe the hot foods area. Random foods from a featured cuisine of the month (in my case, it was Korean), along with Dim Sum during lunch time, and various cuisines that span from Indian to Continental. There is also a carving station with trio of meats (ham, lamb, beef) as well as a "you make it" wonton noodle station. Big ups to the truffled potato mash, that was probably my favorite savory side dish there. Desserts are usually my least favorite portion of any buffet, but they do a good job showcasing some serious variety here. There are pastries, fresh fruits, candied pieces, a macaron tower, and even a fondue fountain. That's not to say that all sweet tooths will be conquered, this is Asia after all. Having been to a fair number of hotel buffets in Tsim Sha Tsui, I can safely attest that Harbourside is indeed among the better ones. For the variety alone, it's a glutton's paradise but the view is virtually unbeatable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We made reservations a few weeks in advance because they book up quickly. The Sunday brunch that is offered is about $808HKD plus 10%. There is an option for free flow Champagne (Perrier Jouet) for about $858HKD plus 10%. Having been here on numerous occasions for my share of boozy brunches, I feel the quality of the food has gone down in the recent year. A lot of people love having the lobsters and the cold seafood bar. The bar in my most recent visit seems a bit messy and not as much variety of the types of seafood begin offered. The staff here are always very pleasant. There are servers walking around with bottles and bottles of champagne ready to top you up before you're on empty. They keep the bubbles coming so you don't even think about eating the food? That seems to be a tactic that worked on me. I didn't notice the downfall of the food until my buzz wore off. The brunch is one of the longer ones compared to other places. You can be seated starting 11:30 and the last drop of bubbly would be poured into your glass at 3:00. The cost of the buffet also covers you a drink at the end of your meal should you want a latte or tea to finish you off.
