I have to admit, the only reason I entered this place was because its name is SOO cheesy, it immediately piqued my attention! I just had to know what honeyed concoctions a place called 'Honeymoon Dessert' actually serves! Anyway, this is a nice pudding place in the Tian Tan Buddha complex in Lantau. They have around 40 items on the menu - all desserts, lots of mango, sago and tofu offerings. We ordered the coco mango tofu pudding to share - and it was perfect! The mango was absolutely delicious and sweet, and the rest of the pudding was milder, complementing the mango perfectly! I do feel that at $44, it was a little steep for dessert (a little over $7 USD), but that wouldn't stop me from returning in a jiffy if I ever came back to Lantau. Given some of the other options in the complex, (Starbucks, Gelato, Indian food!) I'd recommend Honeymoon Dessert to any tourist who'd like a more local, Asian flavor over something you're likely to find anyplace else. This was a great way to indulge my nagging ol' sweet tooth and a perfect little rest-stop after a very active morning! read more
