This place opened quit recently in the neighborhood so we thought we should check it out. Was aiming for breakfast but did not succeed to get up until lunch after a tough night out.
The interior and atmosphere is nice. Dark and gloomy but calm, just the way I like it. The menu looked overall very good and was sadly enough very long and tempting, which made me crave everything. Decided for lunch set which came with a main, rice, two small appetizers, small soup and a small dessert. Hungry AF i also ordered the wonton dumplings in Sichuan sauce. To my disappointment, still hungry AF, we got to wait around 40 minutes for our food even though the place was barely half full. And they forgot the dumplings.
My sweet and sour pork as a main was okey. The other main - beef in Sichuan spiced sauce was extremely spicy but very good! Definitely came with more peppers than on the picture lol. Liked the vegetable rice as a side instead of regular steamed one. The daily soup which was some cabbage story was pretty plain and tasteless. Dumplings were very good and so were the small appetizers. Very affordable. Paid around 280 HKD for the whole thing.
Still amazed how bad service can be though, which is such a shame when the place has so much potential. read more
