We came around 10:45 a.m. and was asked to wait a few minutes while they were cleaning a table for us. As soon as we sat down, we noticed there was already a long queue. We ordered 7 dimsum. It was enough for two people. We ordered steamed chiu chow dumpling, chicken feet, siu mai, bbq pork rice rolls , har gow, fried glutinous rice ball with pork and fried turnip. Everything was pretty good. Place is bustling with energy. Clean and bright. Service was good and friendly (shocker for HK) . Don't forget to bring your own disposable napkins when in HK !

February 27, 2025. After visiting Big Buddha (Tian Tan Buddha) all morning long and eating barely nothing for breakfast, I treated myself to dim sum for lunch because no visit to Hong Kong is complete without at least one good traditional Chinese dining experience. After leaving Luk On Kui disappointed last night because they were already out of dim sum - also because I got there just before 8pm, I was really craving some steamed specialties. There was a short line outside of One Dim Sum but I got in ahead of them since I was alone. The lady staff led me past the main dining area, into the kitchen and further inside an area I thought was their employee breakroom and instead of employees eating, it was filled with more hungry, noisy customers enjoying their food and their conversations. I can't help listen in to the English language conversation across me. What was more interesting was the speed of my food's arrival and the flavors that is uniquely Cantonese! -Chicken with sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf -Steamed Seasonal Vegetable & Shrimp Dumpling -Barbecue Pork buns -Fried dumpling I felt I ordered more than I can fill my belly with although all the walking I did around town and in the subway stations easily burned off the extra calories. Hong Kong truly is a foodie destination and I loved every day of my 4 day stay here!

The best dim sum that I had on this trip! One Dim Sum was another hyped up place that was I was most excited to try and they did not disappoint. I arrived at 1 PM on Saturday and there was a 30 min queue. After giving the staff our name and # of people, they handed out the menu so that we can decide on what to order. We ordered all my favorites and everything was very delicious! We ordered the Har Gow, Siu Mai, Beef Cheung Fun, Lo Bak Go, Lo Mai Gai, and Char Siu Bao. It was all very flavorful and we managed to finish everything (barely haha). The queue wasn't too bad and it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend One Dim Sum for dim sum in Hong Kong!

It was an amazing place for dim sum & I would have never thought it would taste so good. Its definitely very popular, the restaurant was crowded and there was a short wait. So, depending on your arrival time--if it was during peak lunch hour, the wait can be long or short. When we arrived there was a brief wait--about 10 minutes. Once seated make sure you get the order form to make your selections of dim sum. Your order comes out quickly, piping hot and fresh. This place is far from fancy, but the food is tasty, the ambiance is welcoming and bright and is very reasonably priced. The service was okay--what you would expect from a fast, casual dining place; they responded when you called upon them. Everything we ordered was very good--the rice roll wrapped in the deep fried breadstick, chicken feet, shrimp dumplings, lotus leaf wrapped chicken and the mango custard wrapped roll for dessert. Easily accessible from the MTR--the Prince Edward Station. NOTE: They also have a location in Central, but it is not restaurant style, but more of a carry out with limited seating.

Out of all the dim sum restaurants I tried in HK, this is the one that strikes the best balance between price, taste, and ambience. All the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious and came in huge portions. Would definitely recommend the chicken with mushroom and fish maw (both with and without the bean curd wrap). It's an item that used to exist in NYC dim sum restaurants but I can't seem to find it nowadays! The chiu chow style dumplings were authentically spicy with the addition of pepper. Absolutely loved the thin skin of the BBQ pork rice rolls. The siu mai was humongous and delectable. The Malaysian sponge cake was a nice sweet treat to end the meal! This isn't your traditional ladies pushing carts dim sum restaurant since you order via paper and pencil but this makes the whole ordering process much more efficient and ensures that your food is made to order. I found the prices very economical. Service was ok. They do give hints that they want to you to leave if you've been eating for too long but that's completely understandable since it's a popular restaurant. We loved the food here so much we came back a 2nd time. That says a lot!

This highly recommended dim sum restaurant. There is a line, the wait 10 to 20 minutes, as you I are waiting they give you a menu and order sheet and write what dim sum you want and how many. We ordered shrimp balls, light skin and good amount of shrimp, beef balls, nice and light not dense, shrimp siu mai with crab roe with fresh shrimp, very good amount of shrimp, and rice rolls with shrimp, it was ok, and chicken feet, good seasoning but feet little undercooked, baked char sauce bao, it is baked not with the toasted top but just lightly and with dust of sweetness this was so good, mochi mango. Good place for dim sum.

I was lucky to make the first round when they open because it was HOT out and I didn't want to wait in line any longer. My partner and I came about 25 minutes before they opened and was able to make the cut for round one. Right away after we were seated, our tea came and we put in our order. Of course, per the usual, we ordered the obligatory staples. Being our first time here, we wanted to judge the staples of all things because if you get the main items wrong, we can't feel confident about trying the other items. Overall, great service and the food was pretty good. However, I felt like the flavor was on the lighter side and needed to dip my dim sum in soy sauce and hot oil which I normally don't do, but the flavor was a little lacking. Prices are a little on the higher side, but overall, solid dim sum spot.

We went to Mong Kok and tired One Dim Sum today. Arrived after 1pm, and there is a huge lineup. We sat down in 20-25 mins and ordered har gaw, siu mah, beef ball, cha siu bao, curry squid, and beef with stir fry egg on steam rice. The shrimp in the har gaw is one of the best I've ever had. Beef ball is very rich in beef flavor. I also like the curry, the spice is strong but not too spicy. Siu mah and cha siu bao are just so so. Price is reasonable, and overall quality is good. I would highly recommended if you want to go dim sum.

Make sure to get here when they open or be prepared to wait. I arrived at opening time and there was already a line. Great food, fast and friendly service, and had a good variety of dishes. Everything I ordered was amazing. Definitely will be back

Michelin-star dim sum, a backroom adventure, and food that's totally worth the wait (and the slight sketchiness). One Dim Sum in Prince Edward is one of those places where the line down the street tells you everything you need to know. A Michelin-starred dim sum joint serving high-quality dishes at budget-friendly prices? Yes, please. As a solo traveler, I got lucky--they shuffled me past the main dining room, through the kitchen (yes, really), and into what felt like a secret dim sum speakeasy. Slightly sketchy, slightly thrilling, fully delicious. I went classic: shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, chicken feet, and lo mai gai. The dumplings were juicy, bouncy, and cooked to perfection. The chicken feet? Fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor (don't be scared--they're worth it). The lo mai gai was like a warm, sticky rice hug, perfectly seasoned and super satisfying. Honestly, I wanted to keep going, but there's only so much room in one human stomach. One Dim Sum is chaotic, cramped, and absolutely incredible. Come for the Michelin star, stay for the backroom adventure and next-level dim sum.

this yummy dimsum spot lives up to the hype! we came here for our first meal in HK and were absolutely delighted by our selections. make sure to order these classic items: - 鮮蝦滑腸粉 (shrimp in rice roll) - 蟹皇蒸燒賣 (pork dumplings with shrimp) - 四寶滑雞扎 (bean curd wrap w/ chicken & fish maw) - 薄皮鮮蝦餃 (prawn dumplings) - 香煎蘿蔔糕 (pan fried turnip cake) - 香煎馬蹄糕 (pan fried water chestnut cake) there was a line on a saturday afternoon, but we were seated within 40 minutes. we decided what we wanted while in line and marked them on the order form (note that it's all in chinese which wasn't an issue for us, but you should be able to ask for an english menu as well). the service was quick and efficient, so the turnaround rate is really fast. definitely gonna come back the next time i'm in town!

Best dim sum we had in HK, better than Tim Ho Wan overall in my opinion. We came for dinner, because why not! It was around 8pm and the place was packed but we got a seat really fast. The menu is simple and has all the delicious dim sum staples. My favorite was the spare ribs and shu mai! The items were fairly priced. I think we spent around $25 USD for the items. Highly recommend! Go on a weekday because they charge extra 10% on weekend :)

This place is so famous we saw people come straight from the airport with all their luggage! Portions are very good and probably too small for most people but I loved the size. Goose and Soy Sauce Chicken: They are most known for their roast goose which has a complex and layered seasoning different than other HK roast duck/goose places. This is my go to dish, this time it tasted great but my portion of goose was super small and I split it with a friend to not get too full so it was even smaller. We got the quarter size because we want to try other dishes. Crispy roast pork + Char Siu (Barbecue Pork) was on point! The roast pork skin is crispy and tasty. Char Siu is savory and sweet with smoky flavor. The vegetables was simply prepared but so good. It helps break up the greasy food. White rice and noodles for carb. This was a hearty meal. It is on the expensive side compare to other casual Cantonese bbq meats spot.

We haven't even gotten to the food-- which was below average all around. We had pre-ordered the typhoon crab in advance and it was very expensive, was so over-seasoned, and the crab was not fresh at all. Situated at the very top of the isquare mall in TST, it's a convenient location both for Kowloon and HK siders. The restaurant itself is a beautifully bright space with amazing panoramic views. It's quite modern/upscale and would be a good place to go for work lunches etc but you won't get any nasty looks rocking up in shorts/tshirts etc... (i went there in gym gear). The food...wow. I thought after 30+ years of eating chinese food i'd pretty much seen every iteration of a spring roll. I was mistaken. Granted it's hard to make the case for a spring roll to be the standout dish at yum cha but i've never seen them done like this (pictures attached). Each one is about 20cm long and stuffed with juicy fresh shrimp. I have it on good authority that they are also a massive crowd pleaser for kids too. Other than that, every dish was equally superb and fresh. All the usual suspects (har gao, siu mai, lo bak gou, char siu sou) were top notch; fresh, juicy, thin skins. The lo mai gai was another standout - not the usual stodgy, dense, overly sticky lump; rather it was surprisingly light and the meat didn't taste at all congealed, with just enough glutinous-ness to make the rice sit neatly. And the crispy pork cubes...oh the crispy pork cubes. I'd been craving these for over a year since the only offerings to be found in NY are better described as lumps of soggy fat with a micro film of crispy skin and occasionally a bit of pork. All in all an amazing feed. Adding it to the list of regular places to hit in HK.
