This shop is a small shop along the street and right beside a 7/11. Food is good and yummy. Price wise it is also cheap.

包任你點 - Pan-fried Meat and Veggie Baos

The best play on words: 包任你點 Bao Yam Li Dim ("All You Can Order") is essentially Dim Sum on the go…read more It is one of several food stands franchised across the island, with this location smack dab in the heart of Wanchai's bustling street market. If it weren't obvious enough, they're serious about their baos. To no one's disappointment, they're all huge. We're talking softball worthy and the ratio of bread to filling is adequate, only a few of these would fill the average person up. But Dim Sum is dim sum, there are dumplings, puddings, pastes at equally large portions. The variety is pretty good for the over the counter treatment. Notable selections include their tea leaf glutinous rice (足料糯米雞), scallion pancake (蔥油餅), and chiu chow dumplings (潮州粉粿). Bao wise, I am a fan of the good ol BBQ pork (char siu - 叉燒包). I think I could rock at least two of them. Remember they are a cash only establishment and if you play nice with their staff, they might throw in a freebie or two with your order.

My favorites were the Taro Steamed Bao and the Sticky Rice filled Dumpling. My family came here twice to pick up a quick breakfast before heading out to explore for the day. Highly recommend giving it a try! They have a good assortment of items too.

A famous Chiu chow restaurant that has been here in Times Square for as long as I can remember…read more Reservations are needed and if you have a Chinese speaker in your party, it would be best. The reason is listed below. The food was good but pricing is deceptive. What was ordered to the point of finger selection on the menu became something else when the bill came. Their service was attentive but to only a certain point such as tea servings or order more food. The ambiance is nice. Atypical good quality restaurant. Our bill was almost $7000hkd. A few dishes where we ordered small but the waitress decided upon herself that a larger plate is more sufficient for a bigger party. Yes, we had 10 adults but that is not a reason to change it without informing us. There were lots of leftovers and we decided not to finish it. The waitress knew we were not local and perhaps used this opportunity to scam us because we were going to pay for it and we will most likely not come back to eat here again. There was no such thing as language barrier since food was ordered in Mandarin as the waitress spoke Mandarin & Cantonese. I would give them 1 star for trying to cheat us but honestly, 2 stars is as far as I can go just because their food was delicious.

I do love their dim sum menu with so many chiu shan 潮汕 style food. Regret not trying the almond pig stomach soup. Most wonderful dish is the syrup sweet potato and taro, the chives and pork blood is also very flavorful! I wish to come back here to try the dim sum one more time. That said, their prices are high even for dim sum. Parking in the mall can be validated.

Came here for brunch as it was near our hotel…read more We came 15 mins after opening and were seated quickly. They gave us a booklet along with the paper to fill out, and most of the dim sum was the classic dim sum that I'm accustomed to. Their chiu chou fun gor was alright for me. They did put a good amount of peanuts in here but the exterior was a bit heavier on the dough side. Their siu mai and har gow were pretty good. Their cheung fun wasn't the silky light type, so I was just alright with it. Their Chicken with Sticky Rice wraped in Lotus Leaf was huge though, way bigger than those in Los Angeles. Their fresh mango custard roll was my highlight though, as they had chunks of mango in the middle and it was sweet. Would try this again. I think the one other aspect of this place is the interior is really clean, and they have a decent amount of tables inside. Service is a bit more attentive as the area isn't as large. I was most certainly full upon completion of this meal though haha.

Mark your order down on the sheet and go to the register to pay and turn in your order. Prices seemed to be slightly on the higher side at a first glance, but our final check ended up being pretty affordable. We tried their har gow, siu mai, baked BBQ pork buns, shrimp rice rolls, deep fried pork dumplings, and deep fried shrimp wonton. Food came out fast and I was pretty happy with all the items we ordered. Overall, decent spot for dim sum but I'd probably only come back if the wait wasn't too long.

Some of my family members in HK claimed it to be one of the best restaurants in Hong Kong. Certainly when I walked into the restaurant, I was amazed by their incredible interior and dining space, also had the view of the harbor. They have huge dining hall that easily fits few hundred guests. We ordered pearl shrimp dumplings, crab cake, roasted duck and waygu beef noodles soup for our meal. All the items had amazing flavor. Roasted duck had delicious crispy skin. I had never seen waygu beef in a soup dish before. The soup was mixed with vegetables, little spicy, but full of flavor. The service was top notch at the restaurant. All the staff members were super attentive, making sure water glasses/ tea cups were full all the time, cleaning out empty dishes and helping guests with all other requests. Dishes were served in short time, only the baked crab cake took long. The restaurant also gives 20% discount Marriott Bonvoy members. They also have some half priced dishes for Bonvoy members as well.

Solid dim sum in a crowded market. One of the few nicer ones with carts, which, if your friends…read morelike carts, is a plus. Definitely nice to get a few items not common in the states, such as duck feet with pomelo, and for the non-Chinese-speakers, the carts are all labeled in both Chinese and English (brilliant!). And the shu mai are tight little bundles, elegantly done with a shrimp curled on top-- again nothing crazy by Hong Kong standards, but still elegant enough to warranty praise. The pain is the price. As a higher-end place, well, it's not cheap. It's not priced too badly, but then, it doesn't compete with the very best either. And one slight weakness-- the char shu in the char shu cheung were overcooked. 3.5 stars, but I'll round up.

The dim sum scene in Hong Kong is vastly different from that of the US. While there are probably…read moreless than a dozen decent dim sum restaurants in the entire West Coast of North America (including Vancouver), there are literally numerous top-notch players in HK. So one might ask - what's the difference? -- Quality instead of quantity. Refinedness over size. That means that the tiny bite-size siu mai's are of supreme quality - perfect texture and very rich in flavor. -- Creativity. I'm quite sure that most dim sum lovers would have had a version of stuffed peppers somewhere. But how about a dish (or pan) of freshly pan-fried stuffed peppers and eggplants served - you guessed it - in the pan! Absolute yumminess can somehow indeed be found. (See picture) -- More Creativity. How about some fried bean curb rolls with baked lobster broth? (See picture). Bean curb rolls are a very common dim sum dish. But wait! Deep fry these super yummy rolls and serve them with a bowl of baked lobster broth with a flaky crust? Just in case you don't know how you're supposed to eat these (LOL) - Take a piece of the roll and dip it into the lobster broth, let it soak for a few second, then put it in your mouth and at the same time contemplate how far you are away from dim sum heaven. -- A rare gem perfectly made. Trying to find a quail's egg in the US in not that hard. But trying to find a quail's egg siu mai in the US is close to impossible Especially a really good one. (See picture) For a brief moment I thought I was in heaven. But of course, I quickly realized that I'm just in Hong Kong. AKA Dim Sum Heaven. 6 stars by US standard, 4.5 stars by Hong Kong standard. But until Yelp has a half-star rating system, I'll just be nice and call it 5 stars!
