Grabbed everything to go. Service wasn't very friendly but maybe it was a long day. Lots of seating inside. Ordered the crab fried rice and half jamppong and half jjajangmyeon dish. Crab fried rice was ok - maybe better to eat in person right away. Not much flavor. The noodle dishes were quite tasty, jamppong full of flavor and seafood. The jjajangmyeon was also good.
Went here for lunch after doing some grocery shopping at H-Mart. They are located inside the same plaza as H-Mart, sitting in the corner. You are seated promptly and they bring out some bottles of water, cups, Danmooji, onion and Jjajang sauce, peanuts and fried shrimp crackers. They brought out kimchi later. The shrimp crackers taste like they were sprinkled with some Old Bay or something. So addictive. Along with the crackers were some peanuts that were somewhat sweet. We ordered the Zzampong Zizon Jjampong, The Jjampong Zizon Jja Jang Myun and the Mapa Dubu. The Jjampong was spicy, had a good amount of heat and seafood, but unfortunately it lacked salt. My dad said the Jja Jang Myun was good but the meat in it was chewy and not soft. The Mapa Dubu was actually over rice, not with rice on the side. The Mapa Dubu was unusually made, with shrimp, corn and peas. It was slightly sweet and salty. At first the taste was weird to me because it wasn't what I was used to, but the more I ate, the more it grew on me. I just wish it had more spice. It did come with a side of Jjampong soup. The staff was very friendly. Food came out in about 5 minutes. Super quick. The restaurant is definitely a casual place to come with friends and family. I would go again just to try something g different.
The food and overall vibe of this restaurant was enjoyable. The menu is small and focused. I enjoyed all of the spicy options. They start by bringing out some ban chan. Ours consisted of peanuts in the shell, well seasoned shrimp chips, fresh raw onion, and pickled radish. It was flavorful. For my entree I had the spicy fried shrimp. It wasn't crazy spicy but some of the bites carried some heat. The peanuts in the dish were really tasty and I wished there were more of them because they were soooooo good. The sauce was tasty but kind of oily. I would definitely order this dish again. The service was efficient and quiet. Highly recommended overall

SERVICE The menu is slim, only offering heavy rice, fried meat, and noodle options. It's not particularly diet friendly; so keep that in mind when picking this restaurant. The staff is friendly and kind, the banchan is flavorful and your order comes out rather quickly..! III. QUALITY The Zzamzza Myeun (짬짜만) and Sweet & Sour Pork (찹쌀 탕수육) were excellent. Highly recommend! IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of seating for a weekend at peak dinner hours. No wait.
The sweet and sour pork was a nice app dish that strikes an excellent balance between sweetness and tanginess. The way they're fried added a nice soft crunch to its texture. The "spicy" Jjajangmyeon, offers a deeply savory experience with its thick, hearty black bean sauce that clings to the chewy noodles. We had order the level 4 fiery hell & it wasn't bad at all. Though, it's probably because of my tolerance with spicy dishes. Service was not bad. The lady insisted we tried something that's not fiery hell despite us insisting that we could handle it. Thank you for your warning. During dinner time, it wasn't so bad. Things went pretty smooth and it wasn't so loud.
This restaurant was a great find! It's in the plaza where H Mart is located, and there's plenty of parking available. As soon as we walked in, staff greeted and seated us immediately. The Black Bean Noodles (Jjajangmyun) was very tasty, as well as the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (Jjamppong). I very much appreciated that the latter had a good portion of seafood and veggies. The only item I did not enjoy was the Sweet and Sour Pork; the meat was way too hard.
Located in the hmart plaza in Duluth lies a nice modern korean restaurant that specializes in korean black bean noodles and spicy seafood noodles AKA jjajangmyun and jjamppong. You get complimentary peanuts and popped rice cakes which is an interesting appetizer. Menu has different items and includes various spice levels per item. The jjajangmyun is very delicious and doesn't have a crazy amount of veggies. Some places overdo it and this place does it just right. The fried pork that you can order in its special coating is pretty mid. I'd go somewhere else for that. Go here for the main menu. Barely any wait times even during busy hours and place has ample parking all around.
The food is ok for Korean fast food. Shared jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, tangsuyuk, and D7. The jjajangmyeon was fine... not really good but fine. The jjamppong was not, the broth has no flavor, just heat. D7 was not worth the price at all. Quick fast food lunch. Tastes no better than the food court inside H mart in my opinion.

The taste were good as healthy and rich especially felt the fire aroma from the cooking. The service was generally good as it should be in service business.
Went to h-mart relatively late on a Wednesday and was craving Jjajangmyeon and didn't want to drive to far so decided to try this place out. The portion was relatively small compared to other Korean-Chinese restaurants and they didn't give much ingredients or noodles. There was only enough noodles for 2-3 bites, 1 shrimp, 1 quail egg and a good amount of potato/taros. I personally would not go back or recommend this restaurant to a friend and will continue to stick to my usual place.

It's a nice place for friend catchups, family outings, and dates. I ordered carry out which was great- It was well packaged in a box, and they offered me water while I waited. Pictured are 2 orders of jjajangmyeon and 2 orders of jjamppong, along with pickled radish and black bean paste. Ignore the other dishes as they were not from this restaurant. Level 1 Spicy is the right amount of spice for me. Level 2 spicy was rough. This applies for their jjajangmyeon and jjamppong. My mom thinks the jjamppong black bean noodles were not worth the price. It may be more worth it if we dined in the restaurant instead to take their $9.99 special deal. However, she loved the jjajangmyeon with the variety and size of seafood in it. It took her back to the 90s, when restaurants haven't really started skimping out on their ingredients yet. She told me it seems like a traditional kind of place while I was dying from every bite of the level two spicy seafood noodle soup I still finished it though. read more

Zzamppong Zizon was my first meal after getting off our flight and it was super satisfying! I ordered the 짬짜면 (half black-bean noodles + half spicy seafood noodles) and both sides of the bowl were delicious. The 짬뽕 had an abundant amount of seafood (clam, squid, crab, scallop) and you can really taste the "wok hei." We also ordered the sweet & sour pork but it wasn't my favorite and I would consider skipping it since the portions for noodles are pretty large. The restaurant itself is located right by H Mart (with a sister restaurant at the MegaMart) and is very spacious and clean. Service was friendly and quick! They provide you picked radish, peanuts, and shrimp chips the second you are seated. Our food came out shortly after (impressive!) and I really appreciated that they provide bibs because you're likely to get a stain while slurping your noodles! :) It seems like the Mega location is a bit more popular so I look forward to trying that one, but I really enjoyed this location! I also saw that they have a $9.99 weekday lunch special so if you're unsure, definitely come try it at the discounted price first! read more
Came during a lunch break with some friends. The place is pretty spacious and wasn't too busy. I want to say it was clean, but my shoes would stick to the floor as I walked around. I think service is a hit-or-miss here. But once we ordered, the food came out quickly. I love the consistency of the noodles, and the black bean sauce and spicy noodle soup are packed with lots of ingredients. Cost is very reasonable and worth it read more

LOVE the jjampong soup flavor. It just hits the spot. Noodles are chewy and have good texture. Ventilation is not the best. Be ready to have your clothes and hair smells like fried food once you are done eating. read more

I had the jjamppong and the tangsuyuk (fried pork) here. I was pretty impressed with the texture of the fried pork- this place uses rice flour as the batter so it was both chewy and crispy. However, I found it kind of odd that the veggies were on the side and not mixed in with the pork and or the sauce. I was also satisfied with the jjamppong- it had a good variety of toppings (veggies and seafood) and it was spicy enough for me even though I got the level one. (The server said level 2 has the spiciness of buldak ramen). One thing I was not happy about was the noodles. I could tell it was store bought and it did not have good texture. Also, it tasted way too starchy. I wasn't expecting them to make the noodles themselves but maybe they could use a different brand of noodles. read more
Food: Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) - one our favorite places to get this in Gwinnett county. Has very good fire wok flavor and on the spicy side. Adjust accordingly if you cannot handle spicy. Jjajangmyun (black bean noodle) - not bad. On the blander side vs other places but still tasty. Smaller portion than others as well. Yuringi (Pepper Fried Chicken) - a very nice refreshing yet spicy flavors. The chicken is fried in chapsal (glutinous rice flour) so it is very crispy yet chewy. The lettuce dipped in the sauce balances the fried very well. Our favorite dish today. Service/Ambience: The waitress was very accommodating and answered a lot of our questions. It's a nice quaint place with good seating. They do offer peanuts and small snack when you arrive so careful if you have nut allergies. Overall, great place to get Chinese-korean dishes. They have lots of new expanded family style dishes (yuringi is one of them). We will definitely come back to try more of their items. read more
I'd been wanting to check out this place but hesitant b/c the reviews weren't great - however the recent reviews seemed very positive so I stopped by, and glad I did! I knew it was a good sign when the restaurant was packed - interestingly almost all men, and looked like most people ordered the Jjam Pong ... a heaping bowl! No lunch menu, and I love the smart move of having the menu displayed under the glass layer of the table. The other fun thing they have is a small container with ponytail holders to avoid getting your hair in the noodles, lol. They also provide bottled water for each person. COMPLIMENTARY SIDES They serve daikon, chopped onions w/ black bean sauce, shelled peanuts & shrimp chips sprinkled with paprika? BLACK BEAN SAUCE & SPICY SEAFOOD NOODLE SOUP - $15.99 Ordered this b/c I knew I could get two meals from this, lol. I was impressed by the presentation. The black bean noodle (aka jja jang myun) had a quail egg, pea shoots, beef or pork, and the noodles had a good chew. The spicy seafood noodle soup (aka jjam pong) had lots of cabbage, 1 shrimp (peeled - yay!), 2 mussels, lots of squid, 2 seafood meat (mystery - not sure what it was), good noodles and the broth had a slight vinegary flavor too. When we left, there were people waiting for a table - so the place is popular. I'd recommend going early or later to avoid the lunch crowd. There's something to be said about a place that does one thing or a few things well. In our world where we all suffer from a microwave need it now mentality, and everything is vying for our immediate attention, this place does a few things right. I found this place while shopping for groceries and saw it was open and needed to give it a try. The name of the place is literally translated Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup Season, or phonetically speaking, Zampong Zizon... which to my understanding, they specialize in Koreanized Chinese food which is a popular staple in South Korea! If my suspicions about this place were to be true (spoiler alert: they were!) then this place is legit. So I opted to start with the quintessential combo: jjajangmyun and tangsooyook... black bean noodles and sweet and sour deep fried pork! The black bean noodles were done in the classic fashion. On top of all the staple ingredients like bok choy, zucchini, and onions, they added potato chunks which adds a whole new texture plus small shrimp and a hard boiled quail egg which was a surprise for me!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the egg as a nice touch! A little disappointed in the lack of protein in the jjajangmyun. The pork was flavorful, crispy, a nice balance of sweet and not as sour as one would think! A definite combo to enjoy. But I knew Koreanized Chinese cannot be sampled without sampling the Jjampong (Zampong in their case). So I had to order and when it came out, I was impressed!!! They had all the fixings! Nicely cooked peeled shrimp, scallops, mussels and small clams, and again with a hard boiled quail egg floating around! Definitely a nice touch which adds a very inviting texture to the dining experience! Lastly, the broth. You do have that sharp MSG after bite once you're done which isn't as great but overall, the broth is rich, spicy, and has that seafood depth. Overall, this place is definitely a legit place to go and visit! If you're in the Duluth area, come to the H-Mart plaza and it's right next to the ChungDam KBBQ place! Can't miss it! Nice ambiance and great food! I got the Jiok Jjambong, which stands for "Hell" Jjambong. You can choose levels 1 through 4, so I got a level 1 to test the waters. It was super spicy, especially at first, but I got used to it over time. The Jjambong here is a bit pricey at $13.99. I DO want to try their Special Jjambong which is $19.99 - but most likely it would just have more exotic seafood. Even the normal bowl has some seafood that normally isn't there, so I get the price. Service was good, you could always flag someone down. I tried the Jjajangmyun and that was pretty good too. I wonder how the level 1 spicy one tastes, will have to try it! We also got the Tangsuyuk Pork and the Squid as well. I didn't think there was anything special about these, but they both tasted fine. All in all, I'm a fan, since I love Jjambong, and they do it right! read more
I have visited this place twice already this week. First time I was starving, so I inhaled the food. Today, I really gave it some thought while I was eating. Final verdict, it's delish. I ordered the fry dumplings and jjamjja myun (half black bean noodles and half spicy seafood noodle). Fried dumplings were nice and crispy. Inside was fully stuffed with deliciousness. My pet peeve is getting dumplings that is half full of air. This was not the case. You can tell that these noodles are freshly prepared to order. They are nice and chewy, and not soggy. The black bean noodle was well seasoned with a lot of crunchy veggies. The seafood noodle soup was nice and spicy with a lot of seafood. You can choose your spice level, I went with a regular spicy seafood soup, and was hot enough for me. You have been warned. Listen, if my Korean mother didn't complain, I think that is speaking volumes. Service is good. Wait staff is attentive. Food comes out fast.The 1st time I went, it was prime time lunch time, and busy. Still I think I was in-and-out in one hour. Today I went pretty early and missed the crowd, got out in 30 minutes. Overall, if you are craving Korean - Chinese food, I would definitely try this place out. Enjoy!! read more
Got a mix of jjampong and jjajangmyeon here. Also ordered for the sweet and sour pork. The jjajangmyeon is a little too sweet for my liking but the portion is quite large. My friends enjoyed the jjajangmyeon though. I got the regular spice jjampong and thought the soup was pretty flavorful. My friends thought it was quite spicy. If I ever come back I will order level 2. There are lots of vegetables in it however, not much seafood. The mussels that were included were just empty shells. We ordered two orders of the sweet and sour pork. To be honest, portion sizing here is great but the pork was not fried well and it had too much batter. It tasted more of cornstarch and sauce rather than pork. The service we received here was also not the best. They kept rushing us to order, we had a large group but only had one menu to share amongst everyone. So that being said, we were unable to order as fast as we wanted. After that, only two dishes of pork came out first and the other two came out wayyy later. The pork was super hot still which is why we were eating a little slow. I understand that we have a big group but service could've been better and instead of telling us to "eat faster, eat faster" they could've reiterated that we need to close out and ask if we needed any to go boxes. Overall, would probably skip this place because of the hostile service. read more

This place is one of my top picks and one of my favorite spots to introduce to my friends. The noodles are always the perfect texture and the sauce is flavorful with the perfect level of spice. My go to is spice level 3. Beware though the sauce does stain your shirt so I recommend wearing darker colors. read more

The food here is amazing. The food is tended on the healthier side and is based around seafood. It's on the less salty side as well. The food was so good and we went during open time and the ladies (servers) gave us all free fried dumplings as service because the food was going to take longer (due to us being there earlier than opening) Could I just say most Korean middle age ladies are kinda rude but this Korean Chinese restaurant is the most wholesome place. The ladies are so sweet and so happy. They make you feel as if they are your long lost aunt . I will definitely be coming back! read more

I don't know why the reviews are so low here, because my experience here blew my socks off. I went with a friend and we ordered jjajangmyun, jjamppong & sweet and sour pork. They haven't been open for long, so I'm assuming they're still working out the kinks here and there. Nevertheless, service wasn't HORRIBLE. We received these little Korean snacks after ordering our food -- to be completely honest, I thought it was strange that they gave this out. Almost felt like anjoo food, but it was whatever. The food was definitely expensive, but we also have to consider that inflation has been REAL these past few months and prices are rising everywhere. The jjajangmyun and jjamppong were both very impressive and had a lot of flavor. I really liked how they added the small egg in the soup. The tangsooyook (sweet & sour pork) was also really good -- it's battered with mochi gluttinous batter, so the whole texture is extremely chewy but crispy on the outside. It's hard to find good gluttinous sweet & sour pork, but it was pretty good! It's only 4 stars because I did find it rather extreme that I paid over $40 for a meal for two. But, I would definitely visit again. Hopefully, things will get better once they settle down. read more
I am not sure how this place has such bad rating. I suspect competition or salty people came to review bomb it. Don't be fooled try it for yourself. Hmart next door sells same dishes at higher prices and are less tasty in my opinion. The atmosphere is nice, clean and friendly. The staff was more than friendly. The staff there were so kind. Got us extra bowls and ect. Without even us asking. Also a free side of dumplings. As for the food I've had jjajangmyeon and jjampong at many different places in the greater Atlanta area and even have had it many times in Korea the home of these dishes. The jjajangmyeon was phenomenal and honestly the best I've had in a whole around here. Filled with the nice savory slightly sweet sauce, chewy noodles, delicious onions and pieces of meat it doesn't get much better. The jjampong was delicious as well but a little spicy for my wife's taste. It had more than enough seafood in it for the price. The sweet and sour pork was amazing too. Very nicely plated and served it was delicious in every way. Don't let review bombers influence you from trying this spot. I pray it's not preventing people from trying the amazing food they have here. I for one hope this place is here to stay. read more

First thing you should know! Is this isn't a American Korean Chinese restaurant! It's styled as a Korean Chinese restaurant. They brought the concept from Korea. The sweet and sour pork will be way different because it's made with rice flour! So don't except super crispy it's supposed to be crispy and chewy! It a well known concept in South Korea. (Different style) also the sauce is on the side because everyone eats it differently, your choice either pour it or dip it! All of there black bean & spicy soups can be controlled to a certain spice level! Small tip! They give you FREE rice or extra noodles!! Just ask cause they don't advertise it because costs are high! Lol So if you are extra hungry or it's to spicy just ask for more noodles :) read more

This is a newly opened Korean Chinese restaurant in the hmart plaza. They only have 3 menu items: jambong, tangsuyuk, and jajangmyeon. In short, all were delicious especially jambong. the spicy and savory flavor increases with each spoon. also, you get complimentary yummy chips for starters! read more
So we didn't know they closed at 9, got there at 8:30. Apparently they have jja jang myub base already made for the day, once they run out, they won't remake it? They said they couldn't make jja jang myun at 8:30, so that was a big disappointment.. While we waited for our food, they gave us some snacks including peanuts(this is genius bc idk what kind of peanuts they are but they are so good, and I wanted to order beer just to drink it with the peanuts lol, it encouraged korean ppl to order drinks haha) Dumplings were part of their service, which was nice AND delicious btw they have HAIR TIES for customers with long hair who may not have hair ties. Which is very thoughtful but... I wouldn't reuse someone else's hair tie... maybe they can put up a sign that they offer free hair ties instead? To be more sanitary I asked my husband to order jjampong(seafood noodle soup) for me bc he got there first. Because I do like spicy food, he ordered hell spicy seafood noodle soup in level two. I was in tears eating it because it was so spicy. I ended up just picking out the noodles and seafood and tried to eat it without the actual soup. Buldak noodle is spicy for me but bearable. If you do not eat buldak noodle with extra spicy sauce to it, DO NOT ORDER THE HELL VERSION. If you enjoy buldak without breaking a sweat, then TRY level ONE first!!!! Kampoong shrimp(deep fried shrimp in spicy hot sauce) was really not spicy at all, rather very sweet. The shrimps are VERY big. But it does have a lot of veggies and I don't know why it has a layer of lettuce under it.... Found that odd. I would go again, early, to order jja jang myun. read more

This place was a mystery until I decided to try it out. The sign out front says Korean-Chinese. Most fusion cuisine is hit or miss. After being seated I ordered the N. 2 Jiok Zzamppong Level 4 spicy. The server cautioned me that it was really spicy. I've heard that before. So far the only thing in Gwinnett that came close to "really spicy" was Thank U Chicken's nuclear wing sauce from when they first opened (now off the menu) and Local Republic's ghost pepper Swayze Burger. When the dish came out it looked like a typical Korean noodle soup with a dash of Chinese chili oil. I was ready to be disappointed, but they weren't kidding that it was really spicy! I was ready to inhale the dish like I would at any other Korean place but this required slow and deliberate pacing. I felt like I was in the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. If you love ultra spicy then the Level 4 is the way to go. I finally found something hotter than the Swayze Burger that LR used to have on their menu. I'm very inspired by the cooking here and want to make a chili oil that is like the one they make here. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

Everything in the Jjamppong tasted like nothing as if all the ingredients were cooked separately and thrown in the broth. I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here. read more
