    - Looks nice at first, but costly long-term issues…read more My mom remodeled her home in 2013 and purchased cabinets and countertops from Golden Cabinets & Stone for both the upstairs and downstairs kitchens. The staff were nice to work with, and everything looked great initially. However, issues started early. We began noticing white droppings and small circular debris falling from the cabinets. We raised concerns about possible termites but were told it wasn't an issue. We even tented the house, yet the problem continued. Fast forward to 2026...We are now forced to replace all the cabinets due to termite damage. This has turned into a very costly and frustrating situation, especially considering the original investment and ongoing repair costs. Additional challenge:We rent out our downstairs unit, and tenants are not always able to recognize or report these types of issues until after they vacate, which delayed identifying the full extent of the damage. Bottom line:While the cabinets looked nice at first, there were serious issues with quality and longevity. Recommendation:I would not purchase from here. At the very least, ask detailed questions about product quality, durability, and replacement options before making a decision.

It is now on Waiwai Loop right next to the rail station and Lagoon Chinese restaurant. They have a few parkings in front of the store. Once you enter the store, I was like "wow", the display are so nice. There are so many choices, everywhere you look, it is like a dream bathroom or kitchen display. The people who work there are also very helpful. I showed them the video of my toilet valve issue. They explained to me the steps that I need to do to change the valve. They even bring out a sample valve to show me how to do it, such information helps me a lot when I do my repair instead of reading through the manual. If you need bathroom stuffs, this is the place to go. They also have plumbing services, but it will cost me $100 to have someone change the valve for me. Since I did valve replacement before, I end up just do it myself. Go check this place out.

I was treated with disrespect, condescension, and hostility throughout the process. I left a message to make an appt with a specific sales person, Kiki. Of course, no return call to schedule an appt (this issue seems to be a chronic thing in the comments) I so happen to have the day off on a random Wed so I stopped in and the receptionist was not helpful. After browsing for about 1hr, as I was leaving the store, I was approached by a friendly sales lady (not Kiki) but by then I was already turned-off from this place. I passed by Kiki in the store but she did not acknowledge anyone's presence except for her client; not a good impression as she was highly recommended to me. The items are nice but seem overpriced for Kohler stuff. I'd recommend they be a little nicer to walk-in customers. In my situation, it was work related, so I decided to shop here. The Compleat Kitchen has basically everything and everything related to the home and the kitchen. While many businesses and commercial spaces utilizes a kitchen or a kitchen like atmosphere, it helps to have all the things that can make it a functional space. When I decided to save money and cook while at work during the week, I came to The Complete Kitchen to find a microwavable porcelain bowl the first time I was here. I looked around the store for 15 minutes before asking for help. The guy who worked there helped me with the request and it was a definitely a cute bowl that I use for oatmeal in the morning and soups during lunch time at work. The second time around shopping here, I needed a reusable porcelain spoon and washable / reusable chopsticks. After looking around the store, I found them near the cashier station. At least I found what I was looking for without assistance the second time around, which was very nice. They had assorted knives and other gadgets that help with meal preparation, along with pans and other items that would make your life in the kitchen better and easier. I'd definitely love them and it's definitely worth time to check out for sure, if you're interested and in the area. The overall experience here at The Complete Kitchen here at Kahala Mall is very cool. I got what I came in here to do and can happily save money by cooking at work and not have to go out as often. Buying microwavable bowl and reusable utensils helps me with cost cutting in the long run. The prices here are reasonable for anyone and everyone who needs cutlery, pots and pans, or anything else they need to help them in the kitchen. The service here is excellent and they are very knowledgeable in what they are selling. For the most part though, my experience here at The Complete Kitchen is great. I got what I was looking for and the prices are great. I didn't take long to find what I was looking for and the shop itself was fairly large for its size. It was cool that this shop was close to home. Definitely will return to this store if I need a knife or to replace something previously purchased. It is cool to have this store locally when you need a piece of cutlery or something for your kitchen. The Compleat Kitchen is located inside Kahala Mall. It's nearby Center Stage and Starbucks on the Whole Foods side of the mall. The physical address is 4211 Waialae Avenue, 96816. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. I don't know if they have a minimum purchase for credit cards, but its nice to ask them if they do. As far as parking goes, they have a sizable parking option for anyone and everyone to use. Best bet would be to find parking early enough and walk to the store. There is rooftop parking too, and you just take the escalators down to the ground floor. Just be warn that your car can get warm or hot after returning especially during the summer months. If you are like me, there a bunch of bus routes that services the Kahala area, 1, 1L, 2, 2L, 7, 14, 23, and 234. Choose the right one or connection that works for you. And of course, if you love Uber or Lyft, there's that option too as well. No matter how you get here, if you need supplies for your kitchen or just something else that you need for cooking, consider The Compleat Kitchen at Kahala mall for your shopping needs. They have the most complete selection anywhere on the island. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

I used to buy at Home Depot but recently, I went with a friend to buy appliances and the wait time was so long. We had to take a number and wait so long only to find limited inventory. When our washer went out, we needed a replacement and fast. Pacific Kitchen and Home -located in Best Buy, had a pretty good selection and so we bought a washer. The problem though was scheduling delivery. We had to wait over a month. Last week, we bought a dryer and the delivery wait time, although long, is not as long as before. We bought the Total Tech Support plan which was a bit pricey at $179, but it offers a longer period in which you can return an item. Normal return time is 2 weeks but with the Support plan, we had two months, which allowed us to return the washer we bought (too big) for a smaller one. The plan also has a price match which gave us additional money off since there was a Black Friday special sale on the washer we bought. I also liked that Best Buy had more low-tech options for washers and dryers. This time we bought a Maytag washer and dryer, smaller, without all the bells and whistles. And much cheaper that the electronic models.

I came this time around for a washer/dryer combo. I had tried a couple other suppliers first, and everywhere is out of stock now I guess because of COVID. It took probably about 10 minutes to get a customer service rep's attention. Then they proceeded to try to sell us a bunch of stuff that we didn't need. By the time we had a chance to talk and made clear the models we wanted to check on, they said that they would check on it being in stock and get delivery scheduled. While waiting another 20 minutes, we decided to look up the current reviews online. Turns out it wasn't in stock, and we wasted over half an hour of our day for no reason. Based on the online reviews, it sounds like it's a good thing that we didn't work with this company.

Koolau Farmers is a locally owned/operated nursery and garden supply business that are home…read moregardening experts. It was started in 1938 by East Oahu farmers and a Kailua papaya cooperative as a farmer-founded business entity that shifted from farming to home gardening. Today, it supplies plants, floral arrangements, fertilizers, pesticides, garden tools, etc. for home gardeners. There are currently two locations for Koolau Farmers: Kaneohe and Honolulu (McCully). This review is for the Honolulu location. Items that the McCully location carry include: bromeliads, flowers, fruit, orchids, palms, fruit trees, peppers, tropical fruits, shrubs, soil, trees, veggies, hono hono orchids, dwarf fruit trees (Meyer lemon, Tahitian limes, Naval oranges, jabong, grafted mango, avocado). It also offers seed starting supplies, fertilizers for plants and flowers, worm composting bins; and info re growing and care of indoor potted plants, organic gardening, soil testing, and proper lighting. What brought us to Koolau Farmers is my lilikoi vine that I've had in my back yard for a number of years. With the help of bees, the vine had flourished and produced many delicious fruits for homemade lilikoi desserts, such as lilikoi chiffon pie, lilikoi curd, lilikoi bars, and more. But in recent years, the flowers would bloom, but because there are no bees to pollinate the lilikoi flowers, no fruits are produced. Questions to Koolau Farmers confirmed that there is a lack of nesting sites for carpenter bees (I think they're known as the black bumblebees that we no longer see) to pollinate the lilikoi flowers, resulting in a lack of fruit. According to Koolau Farmers, the flowers must be hand-pollinated instead. Staff provided instructions to my hubby on how to hand-pollinate the beautiful lilikoi flowers. A work in progress, and I'm sure more questions to follow. Then the next project will be our dwarf local orange tree. Where is the fruit? There's a single tiny orange on it, yes, only one! Hope Koolau Farmers can help us on this one! Another work in progress. Staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, and provides helpful guidance. An unlikely spot in urban Honolulu to have a nursery and garden supply store, but I'm glad that it's there! The interior space is not that big, but houses boxes of fertilizers and various home gardening equipment for home gardeners. There may be displays of seasonal items on how to grow certain plants, such as hono hono orchids. Open daily from 8a to 5p. Free parking in the private lot. On the outside private lot are scattered variety of healthy local plants, herbs, orchids, and fruit trees. We look forward in working with Koolau Farmers and knowing that they are there to help us with our home gardening needs!
