Cooking can be fun... Here at The Complete Kitchen is what I believe is one of the last shop that dedicate itself for tools and novelty fun for the chefs in all of us as many familiar shops we all loved have left us here The Complete Kitchen in Kahala Mall has remained here at the same spot that I've always know and going strong. I've purchased many many items here including knives, covers for my knives, and many many maaaaany tools that have been a blessing for mostly work as the right items does make this more efficient as well as saving time and money and I have yet to find anywhere on this island is priceless...one was a tomato corer for $5 which turned out to be for strawberries with ergonomical handle and it sounds hilarious but using it for work has saved me from hideous callouses. Over the years they have quite the impressive merchandise to make gifting fun as well with some Spam, Hello Kitty, many local items or that fun candle to make that celebration a little extra special. Whatever it is give them a search and you'll be surprised that it's here and with local "kama'aina" discount of 10% supporting this local business also gives back as well. Thank you!

Only in Hawaii you'll see a pair of Spam Slippah's! Lol!

What stopped me in my tracks while walking around in Kahala Mall was da Spam display at the front entrance of this business called - The Compleat Kitchen! I will have to admit, I'm a "foodie" and would rather eat out than cook my own meal, but during these economic times where everything has gotten more expensive due to inflation, it's probably a good idea to cook a meal for yourself once in awhile (which I started to do recently). The Compleat Kitchen is a great store should you be looking for some kinda cooking gadget, or some sorta condiment. I know "The Compleat Kitchen" has been in business for a very long time, but was curious on exactly when this local business started? Upon looking them up on Google, and seeing their website, it says they have been in business since 1977, and they are one of the original kitchen supply stores in Hawaii! How cool is that? Shop local, & support local! If ya need some sorta kitchen gadget, I'm pretty sure The Compleat Kitchen will have it!

Bought this for my sister in law who loves pigs! 50% off on Sidewalk Sale!

A cook and gadget lovers heaven! So much to see and look at. I walked in and compleatly ;) forgot what I went there for. I did remember to take my Kahala Mall 30% off coupon. Every type of kitchen gadget, tool, utensil, decorating, mixes, pour over coffee makers and so much more! My favorite were the different flavorings for baking as well as the pancake and Mochi waffle mixes. They also have lots of Hawaii products like towels and pot holders. They make great gifts for family and friends! Customer service was friendly and very helpful. Next time I feel like being chef creative I'm headed there. Go support as it truly is unique and so Much fun!

Shopping at Kahala Mall in Honolulu, Hawaii... My sisters and I wanted to visit the only Sanrio store on the Island of Oahu, but it wasn't open yet. We decided to browse in Compleat Kitchen while we waited. Compleat Kitchen has been around for a while. My friends recently texted me about the new Hello Kitty merchandise here... aprons, rice cooker, containers, etc. just arrived! So cute! This store also has attractive face masks, kitchen gadgets, pots and pans, appliances, cutlery, and more! My sister found a brush to clean her reusable straws! I found a monkey clip which is perfect for a birthday gift! We all found the service to be exceptional! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They shared with us all of the features of everything we were interested in. They even told us about the current Instagram contest and benefits of being on the email list! If you need any advice or are looking for something unusual and functional, this is the place to go!

$15 each. Perfect for poke night.

Cute and quaint little store in Kahala Mall. Myra greeted us when we walked in. Easter Day Sale! First time here. It was like a small Japanese kitchen section of Bed Bath & Beyond but more specialized for all things kitchen. Got a very high quality cutting board that I've never seen anywhere else for only $50. Even got two bowls with chopsticks holders, great for poke night. Had to leave before I bought up the whole store. Will be back. Love it. Also they have military discount.

I was tired of being cheapo with dental floss, so i got some twine for my roasts!
    Aggie C.

If you have a person that loves to cook at home, they would love this place. Every nook amd cranny is cramped and filled with gadgets and gizmos galore. I came because I was done using unwaxed dental floss for tying my roasts. I wanted real deal twine again. We walked in and browsed for a little. I asked where the twine was, and the clerk was able to point to the exact location. In fact, for a crowded cramped store, they sure knew where their items were. We browsed around more and saw cooking utensils, pots, pans, organization tools, cookie cutters I've been looking for and other things. As we lined to pay, 2 clerks let us know to remind the cashier our items qualify for 20% thanksgiving items discount. Pretty cool! Overall, it was not as neat as William Sonoma but the they had lots of cooking gadgets and utensila that were much more affordable. Best thing was I got my twine for my Christmas roll roast.

Do they give kamaaina discount in wustoff knives?

I dont think they offer Kama'aina discounts, but they do have sales around every holiday so I think that'd be a good time to shop.

Does anyone know if they sell wok racks for electric stoves? I'm not sure what they're called but they're to be placed on the stove under round bottomed woks.

They're called "wok Rings or "wok stand" and I believe they have it. But...they work best on gas stoves where the heat can be focused the bottom of the pan. For electric stoves, you may want to try a flat bottom wok instead. I can't remember if… Read more

I try to avoid Simply Home (at Kahala Mall) because there are cute things at the front of the store... luring me in... I tell myself I don't NEED more stuff... However... The merchandise in this store is useful. Dish towels, tote bags, shower curtains, hooks, pet supplies, kitchen gadgets, trivets, and charging cords are some of the items in stock. I even saw a bunny toothbrush holder and a panda hand sanitizer... so cute! I will return to get gifts - especially for mainland friends. Some of the designs have Aloha themes like local grinds... such as okazuya, pineapples, and laulau! Service is very friendly and positive! There was a young man who was sincere about wanting to help me find whatever I was looking for! Thank you! Anyway... it turned out that my friend wanted to get me a Bowl Hugger. It's like a potholder that goes around your bowl when you place it in your microwave, so you can protect your hands from the hot bowl when it comes out from the microwave! Clever, thoughtful gift, right?

There were 2 sessions and each class was limited to 16 participants and I was told the class books up quickly. The August class "Cooking Local Favorites: Korean" was taught by Chef Grant Sato, winner of the 2015 Global Taste of Korean International Cooking Competition. In the 4 hour class we cooked 3 recipes: Soondubu Jjigae (soft tofu stew) with tofu made from scratch!, Miyeokguk (Korean seaweed soup with beef), and Dakjjim (braised chicken with noodles and vegetables) Chef Sato's competition winning dish. Classes are held at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific's beautiful new kitchens on 4500 Diamond Head Road. Parking is right in front of the building and you are advised to wear close toed shoes and long pants. You can bring an apron if you want (I did not). All ingredients and cooking equipment are provided. Masks are required for participants. Upon arrival you are given the recipes and assigned to a station, 2 students to a station. My son took the class with me and we got the station right in front of the demo area which was nice. The stations each have two sinks, a stove, knives, pans, and the assistants bring you the ingredients for each dish. Chef Sato gives a demonstration at the front of the kitchen and everyone watches, then goes back to their stations to replicate what he just showed. The 4 hours pass quickly, there is much to do. I even learned how to cut up a whole chicken (my son would not touch it.) One of the things I really liked about this was finding out what exact ingredients Chef uses in his cooking so I took lots of pictures of the products. The resulting dishes were all delicious and we packed them up and took them home. There was a lot of food, enough for several dinners. I will definitely take more classes here! HINT: Since you are sharing a station, its fun to sign up with a buddy.

The contest will garner 2 winners with purse of $1000 and $750 respectively for the 1st and 2nd place winners. There were eight contenders. Each entry had to contain local ingredients, healthy with conscience to nutritional value and the preparation cost price point had to be something reasonable for 7-Eleven to be able to resell the lunch meal. The meal had to also withstand the heat as it sits under the heating element waiting to be purchased. I enjoyed their sampling process. We got to try each entry served in something more than bite sized portions, chat with each contestant about their creation, chat with the educating staff at the Culinary Institute and always with Yelp Events we got to visit and chat with fellow Yelpers old and new.
