On my way from Here to "YonkersVolunteers Feeding Westchester Food Distribution Program". X

Margherita PizzaMargherita Pizza was this time my wonderful taste, from Friendly staff. Five Star Restaurant.

Great place in downtown Yonkers. Pulpo (octopus) is off the charts. Love the decor very romantic place nice and relaxing. Service 5 stars wine list is extensive. Not a cheap place but worth the splurge. Also valet parking in downtown Yonkers makes the experience f

I gave this place a five because I've been here many times, but never got a chance to post anything about them. But honestly, the service is always great. The food is always on top the ambience. It's like you're in the city. The only negative thing about here is the parking you have to fill your parking but other than that if you want place where you get great food good service an amazing ambience. This is the place in South Yonkers.

Baby shower luncheon....food was fabulous! Their appetizer pizza was DELISH! Their private party room is beautiful!!

We've been going to this restaurant as well as its sister restaurants for years! The food is fantastic as is the service! Recently had another baby shower here and everyone who came from some distances had amazing things to say! THANK YOU SO MUCH EDDIE, JOSEF and the entire staff for making the baby shower SPECTACULAR! See you soon!!

Best Italian food in Yonkers! The menu has a variety of options to choose from. I had to go with the homemade pasta and bolognese sauce and it did not disappoint my 14 month old daughter or me. Everyone at the table ordered a pasta dish that we enjoyed. The atmosphere is great, my martini was dirty , staff was beyond friendly, and the bathroom was very clean. Great place to have a great time with your family. The head chef was extremely sweet. He checked on us to see how the night was going and gave us a little history lesson on the restaurant. Cannot wait to go back and try a new dish!!

I first heard of Zuppa when my parents dined here a couple of weeks back. They had good things to say and suggested I try it out when I had the chance. I was making plans to catch up with one of my friends and since we were at a stalemate as to where to dine, I suggested we try Zuppa out - so off we went. Zuppa is located in Downtown Yonkers, adjacent Getty Square among a number of other businesses. Street parking can be a challenge, but they offer valet and there's a municipal lot right next door. Walking in, you're almost immediately welcome by the main dining area with a smaller room off to the side that I assume can work for private parties. I wouldn't say the space is super big, but the high ceiling makes it feel super spacious. The bar in the center serves as a focal point, and the exposed brick throughout gives the restaurant an upscale yet approachable aesthetic. The menu features a good variety of Italian dishes, with sections dedicated to bites, apps, salads, pastas, and mains. Before food, though, we got a drink. I decided on their Zuppatini cocktail which had good summer flavors and set a good tone for the meal ahead. We were looking to get some apps but nothing too heavy, so we decided to explore the bites section and chose the arancini and the cocoa puffs. The arancini were just okay - they were the cheese kind but I was struggling to find flavor. The cocoa puffs were better - there's no cocoa to be found, but in its place were flour-coated chickpeas and fava beans tossed in a truffle oil. I thought these were a good bite - the oil wasn't heavy so it was good to eat with your hands, and they had great flavor. For my main, I decided on the Chicken Palermo. This was a panko and parmesean-crusted breast served with string beans and mashed potatoes with a light lemon-based sauce. I really enjoyed the dish - the chicken had good flavor, and the potatoes were a good complement. I appreciated the fact that the sauce was light, since a heavier one would have pushed the dish over the top. Service was good - everyone was friendly and the food came out at a good pace. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at Zuppa; the solid food, combined with the aesthetics and service make it a place I would return to if the opportunity arose.

Double cut Berkshire pork chop with braised fennel and hot cherry pepper medley. Yummy!

Dinner with friends. Service is attentive and efficient. The food is well prepared and beautifully served. The full bar is sure to satisfy whatever you're craving, and there's a good wine list as well. Definitely a worthy destination!

Excellent pizza! The dough is always fresh and thin, as well as the basil leaves. It is best I have tasted in Westchester.

The hostess asked us if we could go by 4 which honestly I love the honesty and the ability to try and work with us. I said absolutely we have to catch a movie. It was 3 pm at the time. We got out by 3:47 could have been earlier even but we were waiting for the check. Service was really good though. Ambiance is great in there. I used to exclusively go here only in spring and enjoy the outdoor space. I've gone multiple times now in winter. They have nice flowers and art inside which is very nice to enjoy. For food we got the stuffed Sicilian, delicious. Then for entrees we got the pasta your way. We did penne alla vodka and added a crispy chicken cutlet. Their cutlets are nice and thin and crispy. Fantastic. Out guests really enjoyed and we will be back.

My friend and I stopped by La Lanterna on April 12, 2026 during a long bike ride for lunch. We…read moredidn't have bike locks with us, so I went inside to ask the manager, Bill, if we could leave our bikes in the (closed) patio area since we were worried about them being stolen. Unfortunately, he was extremely dismissive and simply said no, then added that there were no tables available for us--which was odd considering the group right after us got seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or what, but his overall attitude felt very cold and unwelcoming. We ended up sitting at the bar, and to be fair, Bill did help coordinate with the bartender Ana to get us seats together, which I appreciated. Ana herself was kind and attentive, though when we asked for food recommendations, she mostly just said "everything is great." I personally prefer a bit more honest guidance. For food, we shared the Hot Honey Roni Sicilian, Caesar salad, and calamari fritti. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were good, and my friend and I always make the best of things, but for the price point (about $80 each with two drinks and tip), I expected better service and slightly more generous portions. I'd consider going back, especially if we're biking in the area again--but next time, we'll definitely bring bike locks...and avoid the garden

I opted for water as my grandson did and his fiancé order a glass of white wine. It was Sauvignon Blanc, and she found very satisfying. For an appetizer, we shared a truffle pizza. It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

The service is always stellar with a good wine menu. The ambiance is peaceful and cozy always with the Garth Road locals who are such wonderful people. But I actually came here twice this week because of their personal pizzas. The manager told me to try it and I fell in love with it, in addition to their mouth watering paella. I even stopped by there yesterday just to have a couple of glasses of wine. Knowing myself, I'll be back there this weekend or next week.
