I rarely leave reviews but I wanted to make sure I left one for the customer service at Zumiez. Everyone there was exceptionally helpful, but in general, they made all the shoppers feel welcome and comfortable. Not at all a sales-y vibe, but just attentive and comfortable. The young man at the check out sealed the deal for our experience due his friendly demeanor. I even asked for his name for the purpose of making sure he gets the appropriate accolades. Wow! It is so hard to find great customer service, but this store went above and beyond! My daughter and I were cheerfully greeted by multiple employees the moment we walked in. While we were shopping, we were approached multiple times but different employees, asking us if we were finding everything ok, and if we needed help. My daughter needed different sizes of jeans to try on, so one of the associates dug through the rack to help me find the correct sizes for her. They even allowed us to make a pile of the clothes we wanted to purchase, and keep them safely behind the counter while we continued shopping. Later, I found a pair of pants that were on sale, but they weren't in my size. The sweet girl helping us was able to order them for me in the correct size and have them shipped to the store. The store was super busy and the two associates ringing us up managed to make sure we were good to go and spent a reasonable amount of time with us while assisting others. The staff were very positive, friendly, great at multi-tasking while delivering quality service. I love this Zumiez location! read more

I love this store,but every time I come here they are always so races, even the black manager. They followed me around the store today and then when I went to try something on he told me I could not take my bag to the dressing room. Then when I went to return a pair of tights that I had the receipt for he keeps smelling the clothes, and I just bought the tights today but they was too small. I guess shopping experiences are subjective. Mine was a good one. I went in looking for helmets and longboards. I was trying out diff boards and helmets for about 10mins. An employee came over to assist but i have a feeling he would have come sooner had it not been for two punks that got caught shoplifting. Anyway, the guy was friendly, and knowledgeable. Their board and grip tape selection is decent for a non skateboard shop, their music wasnt loud and their staff didnt seem indifferent. I would definitely choose this store over the Del Amo mall one. read more

This place is so disorganised - where's the women's, where's the men's? Where's the T-shirts - where's the jackets? No organisation at all - really confusing. I came here looking for a 686 snowboard jacket. Didn't see any snowboard gear or 686 products. 686 lists this store as a stockist.... Didn't have anyone ask me if I needed any assistance - and I was wandering around in a lost state for quite a while. There's trash on the floor and more general disorganisation. Also there's a guy hopping his ladder around the store to get shoes down from the top shelf - many an OSHA violation in effect. This store sucks.... read more

My mind is still trying to recover from what I just experienced in this store today. As I walked by the store the display is what brought me in. This was my first time here so I thought I'd check the store out. Well, the few minutes I spent there were the LONGEST few minutes of my life. The Associate was friendly, but the music was BEYOND INAPPROPRIATE. Not only was it loud it was VULGAR. Drake was playing (the uncut/cursing version), and no one seemed to be phased by the lyrics but me. I spoke up. I refused to stand an listen to such degrading 'music'. Not only was the "N" word used several times in the song, I heard SUCK MY D*%$, and B*$&! Was used (singular/plural) versions of the word. I immediately went to the employee and asked if their music is screened, (he said yes), I said this can't be ok with the company may I have corporates phone number. He obliged. When I called corporate the lady was VERY apologetic and told me that this is the base of the bulk of the complaints in ALL of their stores and they are working on finding a solution. Now I'm all for music and people can listen to WHATEVER they like. But when it comes to businesses, companies need to be mindful of the consumer and the children who shop in their establishments. I would've bought the shoes, but because I was still blown away by what happened I lost focus and just walked away without purchasing them. Oh well, maybe I'll find them elsewhere. read more

I went here & got my son a skateboard for Christmas they were the ONLY place I could find his recommended size he's only 4 I wish I could remember the salesmans name he was 1 of the best salesmen I have ever dealt with he was VERY personable introduced himself with a handshake asked where you were coming from to get to the store & was NOT just trying to make a sale. read more

Zumies is like Tilly's only less organized and with louder music. The clothes are nice and all but it's just not my style anymore, maybe never was my style. The wife and I walked in and she said "Honey pick something out, i'll buy you anything you want." Sounds good right? Wrong, I had a hard time finding something that I didn't look douchee in. A shopping mall at 8pm on Christmas Eve is not the recipe for an awesome night. When I walked in, registers were down and the line was a mile long. I was in the fence about staying. It took 30 minutes to buy a pair of shoes here and not because I was waiting for help. It took the cashier 28 minutes to ring up two customers. On top of that when I got to the front the guy didn't ring up my whole purchase. He left out a shirt that would've made it 2/20. Not cool. I'll be ordering online from zumiez from now on. Worst Zumiez I have ever spent my time at. Shoe selection was limited, at least 10+ styles we're missing. Decided to try and exchange a gift that didn't fit (shoes) and stood in line for at least 10 maybe 15 minutes despite the 5 employees working inside standing around chit chatting. At one point a guy walked in an was instantaneously welcomed and was asked what his reason for being there was, I guess he was friends with the employee, name was Ricky? Anyway, that was pretty f**king rude because there we're several people including us who didn't even get a glance at upon entering. But my problem was, literally there was at least 5 people working behind the counter and one actually doing work at the register. Not to mention the dude I mentioned started to walk the ladder he was standing on, if you don't know what that is, google it, it's something dangerous and unsafe that should have been taught to this dude upon first working there. I for one will never take my business here again, I'd rather spend the extra coin at Tillys where they help a brother out. read more

Their workers do not know about the "sale" items, they don't keep good maintenance on their clothing either. Almost all of the Stance socks I purchased for gifts had snags in very visible spots, and the "flannel" that the works recommended to me as "thick" had a huge rip on the side. Why I didn't see it before leaving? The girl kept asking if I was done with my purchase, so I felt rushed, and irritated that she said the items I was purchasing were on sale for the buy one get one 50% off, when they were not. Even after she asked another employee! I hate writing reviews like these but even the guys at the register seems less than excited to b working. I have no judgment towards people who might burn one before work, but if that affects your job and customer service, maybe wait to reward yourself until you're off the clock. Managers: hire better employees that know the sales and who will report damaged items. Xo read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a pair of pants here yesterday, tried to exchange them today for a different size and was REFUSED. First, not sure if it had to do with the fact that I am a young black woman, but the cashier asked me, "Were these in your car?" I replied yes that I'd bought them yesterday. He proceeded to tell me he thought they smelt like a swisher to him and he wouldn't return them today, but MAYBE if I come back in a few days. The claim was outrageous I am a full time nursing student who doesn't smoke -__-. Tried to call another store for assistance they said to head over s I drove all the way there. Once I arrive they tell me the same thing and the manager, without smelling them I might add, tells me yes she agrees they smell like a swisher. Outraged I left the store and took down both managers names. Really disappointing. Will not be returning to Zumies ever again. Truly appalled at how adamant they were about a mere assumption-- where's your customer service. read more
