I came here on Monday 04/19/2021 attempting to enter in for the University Blue Jordan 1 Raffle and was left unsatisfied. I called the store 5 minutes before hand to confirm to see if there was a raffle going on. The lady on the phone said 'Yes we are doing the Jordan 1 Raffle today". As soon as I walked in and went to the front desk I saw three workers, two female workers behind the desk and one male worker purchasing a shoe that resembled the box of a Jordan 1. The two ladies looked at me and said "We don't have a raffle" in a very rude tone. I responded with "I just called in 5 minutes ago, and the lady said you guys are going to have a raffle for the whole day". The Adidas Store at Del Amo just opened this past Wednesday in time for the Black Friday sales. My family and I went shopping today, and while ultimately we didn't purchase anything, we had amazing experience with Breanna. She was very attentive and suggested shoes. She sought help to order online since the shoe I wanted wasn't in stock, but the iPad ordering system didn't work for us and I had a cranky toddler. This review is NOT for the store. Finish Line is a regular shoe store in an above average mall. They sell shoes, socks and other shoe stuff. What's more to say? This review is for Devin (I hope I spelled that right because that's how I'm spelling it the whole review) who was working on the Nike Run side of the store. You can spot her because she has really long hair, like Rapunzel length long hair, and a great smile. I had come in the store the previous day to get a pair of sweet sweet kicks. When I got home and worn them around a little I realized I needed sweeter kicks. That first trip I had to track down someone to help me and even then I felt like I was "bothering" the person helping me. So I was not expecting much on my return trip. Thank God I ran into Devin. First off she greeted me with a smile and a welcoming "Hello!" when I came in the store. It's amazing how a smile and some cheer can start things on the right foot. I told her the problem I was having (one short fat foot and one long skinny one) and what I wanted to do and she happily got me 2 different sizes and even told me she had the same problem and that it was more common than you'd think. While I was waiting for her to return, I spotted another shoe I wanted to try on. When I asked Devin if she would get me that pair she again happily got me the shoes. Once I finally made up my mind she had probably got her 10,000 steps in for the day but was STILL SMILING and making me feel like I was her priority even though she was also helping 2 other people. Customer service like this is not easy to come by or readily found (I know, I've run a customer support center) so when it is found it should be acknowledged. To the managers at Finish Line, take care of Devin, she makes your store a place people will come back to. And to Devin, thank you for being awesome and keep smiling. I went in one day last week no one greeted me I was hanging around the women's shoes waiting for help no one bothered to come over the employees were just standing around talking I decided to leave to see if another store had the shoes I wanted but unfortunately they did not, so I ended up going back in still nobody trying to help me finally a girl came to help me I go to the register everyone behind the registers were watching training videos had to wait for a bit for someone to finally ring me up. Literally all of the employees are horrible young adults who just want to chill and talk with each other nobody wants to work....they really need better staffing. We hit a Sale on top of a Sale for last years models and they actually had all the sizes. Im a 7.5, so never expect to get shoes on sale as it's a common size that always sells first. Bought a pair of 'Nike Frees' yesterday. Was told that they were a good shoe. They felt fine in the store, but I tried running in them today at a park, and they felt awful. Almost had no support. Turns out I over estimated myself and I'm not the strong runner I used to be. I only ran 500 meters, maybe less, before I decided to try walking a little more in them, but I gave up and walked back to my car. I tried returning them today to get my money back, but I was told that they looked "worn down", as if they had been run in too much, and would only get store credit. Worn down?!? WHAT? I ran one in them, and barely ran a half mile at that. I was a competitive runner for almost 7 years, I definitely know what worn down shoes look like, and those shoes definitely were no where near that condition, especially with the slow jogging pace I was going at. But hey, store policy, guess the customer is wrong this time. I know other running shoe stores that have policies where you can actually try the shoe out and bring it back in a week or two if you don't like how they feel. That's actually pretty ideal, because you really won't know how a running shoe is going to feel until you've actually put some mileage on it outside of the place you buy it from. I would recommend going to stores like those if you have no idea if your foot is wide or not, if you pronate too much or not enough, etc. That way, if the shoe doesn't fit or feel great, you can bring it back without being forced to spend store credit at a store that only has one shoe brand and no way of figuring out what shoe is best for your feet. This store is meant for people who already know how bad their arches are, how their feet fall when they run, etc., or it's for people who want to rock Nikes for its stylistic appeal. Which I do dig. But being unable to return a pair of shoes, due to an employee telling me that they looked worn down, after I only put in A HALF MILE on them??? that's crazy. read more

I have been quarantined since close down w higher risk family members in my household. I called today to see my options. I bought a pair of Nike Vapor Max tennis shoes a few months ago and the coating on the air pockets starting coming off. I was told by the store manager that they could not give me a new pair that I would have to return to Nike so I left the store. I called Nike and they stated that their contract clearly states that the selling store should replace any manufacture defective shoes. I went back and spoke to another manager and she replaced the shoes. Two months after receiving the replacement pair the air pocket in one of the shoes went flat. I went into the store yesterday to get a replacement pair. The store manager told me he would not replace them and stated he remembered me from a few months ago when he told me he would not replace the first pair. Like I was doing something wrong. He name is Leo watch out for this guy he has no customer skills at all. All I was trying to do is get a pair of good shoes after paying over $200.00 I placed a call to the 800 number they gave me to complain about Leo and his lack of customer service Abilities. I was helped at another store no problems but could not get satisfaction from the store I actually purchased the shoes from originally. Avoid the store and it's manager at all cost. They need to send Leo back to management school so he can freshen up or relearn how you treat a customer. I don't know if that's the Corporate culture or just this individuals lack of respect to a customer or caring about his job. read more
