When we went inside, a lady was already mad dogging me because of my shirt. My shirt had Donald Trump shooting his head. Somehow that must have offended her. My mama then asked that same lady for assistance of shoes and she gave my mama a hostile tone "No. We don't have" like if we did something to her. Then we asked no further questions and got a pair of shoes to go get it exchanged and the hostile lady was in the front counter telling her coworker "can you serve them? I can't." Then my mama asked for a manager and her coworker automatically assumed the role of the manager and obviously trying to defend her coworker. Then the hostile lady threatened to file a lawsuit against my own mama because her boyfriend is a lawyer supposedly and because my mama called her out on her bad costumer service. I'm a returning customer and have been purchasing Red Wing boots for work for more than 15 years. Here's my experience on 6/8/26 at approximately 12:45 p.m. I walked into the store and found one employee assisting a customer. I was asked to sign the waiting list, which I did. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, two employees came out from the back. One of them told me they would be right with me. I then waited another 10-15 minutes before receiving any assistance. At that point, there was still only one customer being helped despite having three employees in the store. One employee handed me a tablet and asked me to enter my name and email address. After I completed that, she returned and instructed me to walk on an electronic pad that measured my feet and gait. I asked if that was necessary because I already knew exactly what I wanted, I was looking to purchase the same boots I had bought in the past. She informed me that she could not help me unless I completed the foot measurement. Reluctantly, I removed my shoes and stepped onto the pad. After walking back and forth several times, she finally asked which boot I wanted. I pointed it out, and her response was, "I don't think we have your size." I then asked if she could check the back, and her reply was, "I'm pretty sure we don't have your size." At that point, I was visibly frustrated. There were no solutions offered, no suggestions made, and no effort to help me find an alternative. The entire experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. If I'm being completely honest, I don't think I'll ever return to this Red Wing location after this visit. The lack of customer service was unacceptable and a complete disappointment from a brand I've supported for more than 15 years.
