He will be wearing it to his senior exit interview next week. He will also wear it for graduation. He has chosen a different tie & shirt. This place is so awesome & they have several choices. My son just chose an expensive one. I feel it was a great investment as it's lasted 2 years ( so far ) they even helped my son tie his tie. They asked if ALL sections of the suit were ok or needed altering, as where most other places just want to hem your pants and get you out. Suits were ready in a week. The tailor offered to have them ready sooner, but I couldn't pick them up sooner, so a week was perfect. Didn't have to deal with downtown LA traffic, crowds, parking, and "no restroom" situations. The difference was night and day. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with professionalism and respect. The employees didn't crowd us or make us feel watched -- instead, they gave us space to browse but were quick to help the moment we had a question or needed assistance. It was a calm, comfortable shopping experience from start to finish. What truly stood out was the exceptional quality of the gear. My son found everything he needed for his EMT program -- and most importantly, he found real safety footwear. Shoeteria carries an impressive selection of steel toe and polycarbonate-toe boots, all of which are puncture resistant -- exactly the type of protection EMT students need for their training and future work in the field. Brands like Dr. Martens, Timberland, Reebok, New Balance, Puma, Burnt, Thorogood, Wolverines, and Skechers lined the shelves -- all built for durability and safety. You simply cannot say the same about LA Uniform and Tailoring. Their shoes had no visible safety features, no steel or composite protection, and felt cheap and flimsy in comparison. It's shocking that a school would allow students to be directed to a store that sells such substandard gear. On top of everything, my son also picked up a high-quality belt, and we still spent less money at Shoeteria than what the other store was charging for basic, low-grade items. My son left feeling confident, properly equipped, and actually excited about his gear -- something every student deserves. I sincerely hope El Camino College reevaluates their current contract and seriously considers Shoeteria for their students' needs. The bowtie was broken and could not be attached. I was told to come back in 2 days to pick it up. They couldn't give me another bowtie nor repair this one any sooner. Inconvenient, but this worked within my timeline. The associate helping me didn't give me much confidence on how he would fix the problem nor show me any sense of concern or courtesy for the mishap. When I returned two days later, the associate helping me was not very communicative. He asked for my name then looked on the ipad, then the computer without saying anything to me for a long time. It looked like he was having trouble finding my reservation. He then went to the back room to look, but couldn't find it, but still didn't say anything. I had to tell him that I was there two days ago, then he went to ask the manager and finally found it. I checked everything again, and had to ask for cufflinks as they weren't included. Imagine if I had flown to my event only to find out that your rental is unwearable because something was missing or damaged. That would be pretty catastrophic.
