ive always wondered about this store.. ive been on the hunt for specific western boots in a pecan shade in suede .. decided to visit boot barn bc they have to carry a good selection right? omggg this store has everything western! work boots, cowboy boots, hats, clothing and accessories! they carry sizes for children too! the store was really organized, bright and clean. friendly associates avail to help. prices were competitive, you are paying a pretty penny for premium quality merch. although i didnt find the boots i was looking for, i did find a pair that are absolutely gorgeous. ill be going back to get them soon! also found a leather jacket! parking: located in the torrance promenade, no issues, lots of parking. read more

Love this store! Whatever you need boots, belts to cute jeans. I love their stuff. If they don't have it you can get it online and pick up in store. People who work here are okay not very helpful until you check out and pay those ones are friendly and helpful. Parking is usually full by the entrance but it's a big shopping center so you can find parking and walk a little. Store is clean and smells like leather. You have to come check it out! read more

I walked in with my husband and no one greeted us or even tried to assist us. My husband was looking for some work boots and we received no help from any staff. We finally found a pair that seemed to fit and we went to the front of the store to pay. The male cashier was not pleasant and asked us if we had any help from the staff. We said no one helped (not that he seemed to care anyways) and we paid and went on about our day. The store is clean but their staff was not helpful. Would I shop here again? No, if I am going to spend money in a store I expect better customer service and this store does not offer that. read more

Dropped my hat off 5 months ago to get it refitted and never got a call back saying my hat was ready. Called today and they said the steamer was out of service and it'll be another 2 weeks til the hat is ready. I'll probably won't get my hat fixed by the way they moving. Go to your local cowboy store if you want better customer service. read more

I typically don't leave reviews, but my experience at boot barn at this location was amazing. I would like to recognize the sales associate that helped me out his name is Rosas. He was very friendly, very welcoming and helped me find what I wanted. I went in not knowing what style of felt hat that I was looking for. He was kind enough he show me the different styles help me find my perfect size and made me feel confident. He even got me set up with their rewards program. Overall my experience was very great the store is very clean, well organized and Rosas very very helpful because he is very knowledgeable of boots and felt hats. Also to top it off he is bilingual. I just know when you discover this place you will love it like I did. Whether you are going to a rodeo, concert or just in need of country attire this is a good place to find some pieces. I got some boots here and some of the cutest pants for a rodeo. The staff was also very helpful. They have a wide selection of boots, belts, hats, fringe and other clothes to choose from. Great for both men and women. Boots usually start at about $100. However if you're looking for Ariat's or something like that be prepared to spend $200+. I came in to redeem a voucher from work for ESD safety toe shoes. My job only gave us 2 shoes to select from and since we had a voucher I had to go into the store to make the purchase. One young lady was helping me I did not get her name but she wore a pink jean jacket and had really curly hair she was very helpful and patient. While her colleague, I also did not get her name but she was an older white lady late 30s and was extremely rude and passive aggressive. I asked for a special order (they told me at work that I would need to ask for this) and no one in the whole store knew how to do this. While trying to figure out what to do I was asked if I wanted a transfer order. Me not know what that is asked if I would have to pay or use the voucher. The lady said no amd rolled her eyes and shifted her whole body to her to her co worker and started explaining to her co worker what to do, totally disregarding me when I clearly needed an explanation myself as to what was going on. After she just walked away and her colleague helping me apologized. I made a comment saying how that lady was rude and she walked to the back of the store and never came back out. Turns out they couldn't help me and I ended up going to a different location the next day where they knew what they were doing and were very nice. I got to chatting it up with Olga at the Los Alamitos location and she said they get a lot of people coming in and complaining about the Torrance location. I will never be back. This was my very first visit to Boot Barn. I had Amazing customer service from Lizeth from start to finish. She was incredibly helpful in finding me the boots I've been looking for all my life! lol :) The cashier Andrea was super friendly as well, with a glowing smile and great customer service skills. There was also another employee whose name I can't remember but he helped me get out of a boot that was super difficult to get out of! 10 out of 10 experience with the entire staff which only means that whoever the manager is , is truly awesome. He or she not only picked a great crew but has everyone working with a team spirit mindset! I will definitely be returning to this store the next time I need boots! Recently visited this boot barn location and was so disappointed to find out they only carried one pair of women's wide calf boots in store. I was actually very sad as I have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots and they seemed to have a huge selection. The gal that showed me the one pair of wide calf boots did tell me they can stretch any pair of boots for free - but I didn't see how that would be helpful if there was no way to try the boot on prior to being stretched to see if it was even comfortable. When asked if the boots could be returned after being stretched if they were not comfortable I was told no. Which to me is understandable if you had more of a selection in store for me to try on. If I am going to spend between $300-$400 for a good pair of boots I expect to be able to try them on my feet first. Super sad experience I won't be back. read more

Big store seemed fairly clean boots were organized by size but that's about it so trying to shop by a certain brand is a bit frustrating. Found what I was looking for but they didn't have them in my size. Byron was very helpful and ordered them for me to be delivered right to my house. I'm here to disagree and defend their customer service people are complaining about on Yelp! I went to this store twice; first time was to look what they have in store. They were very nice. Second time was to return a bunch of online orders (I had about 6 pairs of boots!) and they helped me right away even though people were in line to purchase. They didn't even have annoyed expressions or attitude but were very helpful. One pair out of 6 pairs looked like they were returned items, so they even apologized for it even though it wasn't their fault or I wasn't complaining. I like the store, it's big and they have so many cute cowboy boots to choose from and more selection online, too! read more

Came here to write a review on the staff here but seems like a ton of other people beat me to it. Went four times. Want to buy a hat. No one helps me. The hat section is right next to the register so i know they see me. Most recently the Friday night staff on 1/20/23 The closest i got was one guy that i asked if he could help me find a size i couldn't find and he said i have to find it myself. The problem Is the hats are stacked on shelves. So he wants me to grab a ladder and go up there and rummage through their inventory! Which I'm happy to do but guess what? No ladder. He never came back. Next closest i got was a guy saying they would have to order my hat so i said great! Let's do that. Waited 30 mins and he never came back. I went four times and all four times i walked away with nothing. All i want is a hat. That's all. You think I'm just standing in the hat section for 30mins to an hour for shits and giggles? I'm not the only one. I see people holding boots just sitting and standing around looking around for help. Not a huge selection for women and kind of a crappy policy in regards to returns. Don't try and return your new boots with the tags on them totally unused because they won't even offer store credit. You're better off going to local thrift stores for boots. read more

They won't have your size in stock at the physical location, when you order it online they will tell you 1 day lead time if placed before 3pm that day (in store pickup) and then proceed to tell you it will take 2-6 days to receive the item. 2 stars because the employees are nice. read more

I was disappointed by this locations costumer service. I was trying on a dress in the fitting room and needed a smaller size. I asked my husband to get it and he asked an employee if she could help point him in the right direction. She rolled her eyes, yes, rolled her eyes and we both looked at one another in disbelief! Boot barn is the place to go for western cowboy wear. You want to shop here before a trip to Texas so you fit in. No one wants to walk around Texas looking like you are from California-- But I had the most frustrating experience here and it's really not Boot Barn's fault: I came here specifically to buy a pair of Wrangler Jeans that have that big sewn in tan Wrangler Label on the right rear pocket--you know--the original Wranglers from years ago. They have many models of them here. I took about ten pairs in different styles and washes into the fitting room. My first frustration is none were made in the USA anymore! They were all made in Mexico. Okay that's fine, Mexico is next door and they have cowboys too so they should know what they are doing. My next frustration is that they all fit poorly on me. I don't understand why they are designed so poorly and uncomfortably? I am not sure if it was how they are cut, or is it my butt? I have never tried on Jeans that fit so badly--all of them. Maybe I don't have a Cowboy butt? They may be cut for a Cowboy--that may be why I have always lived in the City--I can't fit into a pair of Wranglers so how can I be a Cowboy? So I left the dressing room and the nice clerk asks me how the Jeans worked out? I told him that none of the Wranglers fit me well. Ahhh! he has a suggestion--takes me over to the designer rack where they have studded designer fancy Wranglers. But these don't have the old school Wrangler label on the right butt. I take a couple of pairs to try on anyway. I look inside these Wranglers and they are all made in Asia!! How can you make a Wrangler in Asia?? There are no Cowboys there?! And these Wranglers had so much polyester in them, that if someone came up to me they could pull them down off my hips they stretch so much. Before I left the store dejected---I walked around the store to look at the other stuff. They have some cool boots here--this is the place to go for Cowboy boots of all kinds. They even had some Timberland models you will not see anywhere else--ones made for real Cowboys. But I looked inside one of the them to see where it was made? It said "China"? Do they have Cowboys in China?!? What's going on? read more

I have mixed results about this Boot Barn. I'm glad to have one, but my husband and I could have had a much more pleasant experience. The staff was never rude towards us, but they weren't exactly helpful either... except one girl. She was busy most of the time, though. The times when other employees did check on us I felt as though they were breathing down my neck a little--almost like they thought I was going to steal stuff. It must have been the baby stroller, right? The rest of the time, as I was checking out some ladies accessories, all I hear is some dude (the owner maybe?) blabbing about some chick that... It's not even worth writing about on here. Just know that they care more about gossiping than actually helping you when you need it most... Like in the boots section. I didn't even get help with my boots, but no worries! I got it figured out. That's the other thing... some people are like, "Oh, they have a large selection of boots." I must be missing something because all I saw for women were a bunch of gaudy, pointed boots. I can't wear those. My toes are too long and I like my boots a little more plain and simple so that I can accessorize elsewhere. Like I said, I got it figured out. Found a pair that fit, a square toe. Arias brand. There is a men's to match it. How do I know? My brother, who lives in New Mexico, bought the same designed Arias boots at a western store there. Then I noticed threads coming out of the design. These boots were for a country wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. We had a newborn baby with us and I did not want to deal with finding boots later. So I told the very nice girl (the lone employee that actually helped me when she wasn't busy with OTHER customers) that dilemma. No problem. She knocked $20 off the price which was equivalent to me trading in an old pair of boots. It was cool to know that SoCal had a western store, but the customer service is shoddy. If only I could remember that one girl's name, I would suggest that you deal only with her because she actually seems to give a damn. Oh yeah... they don't stretch hats here. To start, it makes me genuinely sad to give this review as I used to love all of my Boot Barn shopping experiences. I used to look fondly on my trips to the store as it was a part of my pre-stagecoach checklist (naturally a very exciting time!). In any event, I have been a boot barn customer for about 10 years. Not sure if it is covid-19 based staffing challenges or simply a store filled with bad apples, but my recent experience with the Torrance location is one any country fan or boot barn customer should take strong note of when considering walking through these doors. As many customers of this store will know, Stagecoach takes place the last weekend of April. As part of my normal gear-up routine, I drove down to the Torrance location to check out some new buckles/shirts on Saturday, April 16th. As Hat cleaning and straightening is also one of the services (previously) offered by Boot Barn, I brought along my Wife and I's hats that needed some minor touch ups. As soon as I stepped foot in the store I noticed something was different about the atmosphere. I asked several store employees, many of which were on their phones scrolling through social media, for assistance, and was completely ignored. I found this odd as I was one of maybe three people in the store. Finally, in between swipes on her phone I managed to catch the person at the register for help with getting my hats cleaned up. This person's name was Jackie and almost immediately interrupted me when I asked to have my hats cleaned. She exclaimed they have too many hats ahead of me (remember - 2 weeks before stagecoach) and she could not take them. Confused but respectful, I asked Jackie how many hats were ahead of me and she responded with "5". Using some simple common sense, I questioned Jackie as to her logic here: "5 hats ahead of me cannot be completed in 2 weeks time?" I guess realizing her own silliness or blatant laziness, Jackie begrudgingly accepted the hats in for cleaning. I kindly thanked Jackie for making the exception (despite how silly it was) and left. I just want to pause here in my review and mention that every single time I had walked into a Boot Barn prior to this day, a boot barn employee had always approached me about my Hat (even unsolicited - when it didn't need cleaning) and offered to clean/straighten it for free while I shopped. In all of these examples, my hat was also always done by the time I finished shopping (day of, less than 30mins). Suffice it to say my experience this year was QUITE the change. Feeling as if my hat request was not taken in earnest, I followed up with Boot Barn of Torrance via phone a week after dropping my hats off. I was met with the same level of indifference and rude attitude I experienced when I dropped the hats off but nonetheless, the individual said they would look into it and call me back. Shortly after, I received a voicemail (still have voicemail) from Jackie who told me the hats are almost done and they would be ready by 04/27. Fast forward to 04/27, I entered the Boot Barn Torrance location only to have Jackie tell me the hats "need more time". I was not pleased at the message (especially being that I have a voicemail from Jackie stating the opposite) but regardless, said that was fine and took my time perusing the store again to see if there was anything else I could add to my Stagecoach ensemble. 30 mins pass, an hour passes, and I find Jackie folding clothing on the opposite side of the store who commented it would "only be a little longer". Taking things into my own hands, I walked up to the counter to find not only had the hats been UNTOUCHED since I dropped them off initially (04/16), the staff also kept telling me "well its Stagecoach week and the hats will likely take a couple more hours". When I reiterated that I was told the hats were done already and that we were running out of time, Jackie and her even more dismissive manager told me "there is nothing we can do". They even attacked me and my timeliness stating, "it has only been 11 days, hats take months to clean". Despite this overly entitled and apathetic attitude, I finally asked Jackie's manager if there would be a possibility to give me a discount on a new hat in lieu of the situation. Without even taking a minute to consider the circumstances, the manager quickly told me "absolutely not". Again, not sure if this is exemplary of a new attitude of employees post covid or just a slew of disgruntled workers looking to take their resentment out on customers, but I will never be giving my business to this store again. I can only hope the other boot barn locations across LA haven't let this disgraceful level of customer service permeate throughout their ranks. On a final note, I was able to have both hats cleaned and straightened by a local dry cleaner in Indio within 24 hours of the festival for $30. read more

This store needs a do over. Was there today shopping for jeans and boots. They have the absolute worse selection of boots. Even if you want to try a pair on there's no boot hooks or boot jacks to be found. They have several types of jeans by several manufacturers but very limited on specific sizes like 32 or 33 in the waist. People work there but disappear when you would like assistance. Too bad as the location and store size are both good. It's basically a waist of time. Went to the Levi store, got jealous immediately and ordered jeans as well as took some home as the representatives went to the store room and brought out what I wanted. Customer service matters! Let me start off by saying, I love boots-all kinds. I've shopped here before, the first time, I didn't know what to expect. Well, expect to see a variety of boots-mostly cowboy boots. You can smell the leather from outside the door and once you're in, it's so difficult to select a pair because they have such a variety, both in style and in price. A lot of people shop here because they need an outfit for a party but I shop here because I love boots. If you don't normally wear cowboy boots as part of your wardrobe but wanna give them a try, drop by Boot Barn and try on a few pairs. If you need help, anyone there will be very happy to help yet at the same time, they give you your space and don't hover over you. read more
