My husband purchased two suits for my son at Via Italia. They were out of his size on one of the suits. Since we don't live nearby, the guy said he would have it shipped to our home for free. It was supposed to arrive within a week. After a week went by and the suit hadn't arrived, we called the store. We were told the suit had been shipped to our home but they couldn't find the tracking information. They said they would call us back and never did. We called again and were told the suit had in fact never been shipped because they were out of stock. They said we could either get a refund or order a different suit. My husband called back to ask for a refund, at which point he was told they had been able to locate a suit and they would ship it out right away. After a month of waiting, I called back again and they still did not have an update on the suit. I asked the lady that works there for a refund. She said "oh ok, I'll tell him when he gets in and we'll get back to you". Another week went by and still no call back. I called to inquire about the refund. The guy said "oh yes, you are the ones with the burgundy suit, I have it". I told him I didn't want it anymore, I wanted a refund instead. He got extremely agitated and upset and started yelling at me saying "you don't have to give me attitude. If you want a refund, take it up with the credit card company and have them do a charge back". I was in no way giving him attitude. I was simply being firm because after a month of waiting and not hearing back from them (as they promised they would on multiple occasions), I had had it and just wanted my money back. I started to tell him I didn't care for his terrible customer service and I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, to which he replied he didn't care and to do whatever I wanted to do. Please be careful if you ever shop there and beware. I'm off to call my credit card company now to see if there is anything they can do to help. read more

I was doing my Christmas shopping at Del Amo mall and cruised by and noticed this shop and felt prompted to go in. I had seen it many times but had never ventured in and decided to see what kind of stuff they might have. It's a men's clothing store and I was drawn to the jeans wall because I've been thinking about picking up a new pair. The young salesman had greeted me coming in but I had to ask him to come over to confirm prices on some of the jeans on sale. He asked me my size and then another young guy, who was probably the owner's son or something, came over and started helping me by pulling out particular jeans in my size that were on sale. They actually had a pair of Levi's 514s that happen to fit me to a tee waist and length-wise and were on sale for $42.99 so I was pretty jazzed at this find. They had a few cool items like shirts, sweaters and jackets but I wasn't in the market so I didn't really examine everything all that closely. As a side note, it wasn't very crowded in there which always makes me wonder how these types of places stay in business. Somehow they manage to do so. I may go back again to see what other things they have if I'm in a clothes-shopping mood which is very rare as I'm the type who only goes when I need something. But if you're looking for some items for men, this could be a good place to check out. read more

I went here with my wife to buy a shirt and tie. After looking at the selection and trying a shirt on we decided that the shirts were a bit too cheaply made. We were about to leave when we were confronted by the owner as to why the we were not buying. I simply told him that we were going to look around at other shops some. AT this point the owner become aggressive and started CURSING and PHYSICALLY THREATENING my wife and myself. I called security on the owner. Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. Don't come here. I will be pursuing more ramifications inn the owner and store. read more

I had walked out of department stores due to high suit prices when I came across Via Italia, and Right on the dot, the owner made me feel very welcome, he worked with me because I am a very large man and not anything would fit me, he even ordered suits for me that are my size without taking a deposit, such a great guy, I bought a suit and many shirts and pants and a belt and a tie for half the price of a suit at a department store. I came in here after going to the hollywood suit outlet, Macy's and JC penny's all which had suit departments ran by girls in there 20s that had no idea about sizes let alone suites. I walked into this business and as soon as I came in Noah new my size without blinking a eye. He came to my rescue picking me out a beautiful suit, tie, and jacket that fit me to a T. When you go suit shopping the suit you pick is suppose to make u feel great and Noah knows how to make you feel great in his suits. The man knows styles textures and patterns. He is in touch with what looks are in and doesn't try and cheap you. He seems to be the old school definition of customer service where You go in and feel good walking out. If you need a suit and are in the South Bay this is the one stop shop. He has my business for life. read more

Today was my second time successfully shopping at Via Italia. I was kind of surprised by the previous reviews, but some ways also not surprised. Fact is this man knows his suits. He knows his suit from the minute details to the whole broad scheme. I agree with previous posters he may seem like a harsh critic, but in this day and age who wouldn't appreciate that kind of bluntness and honesty? I can always go to places like 3 Day Suit Brokers or Hollywood suits, and try to be sold as much as possible by their sales professionals, but at the end of the day Hareem(the store owner) has always been honest with me, and advised me on what and what I shouldn't do. I believe I have a fair sense of knowledge when it comes to fashion, but this man lives and breathes it. He is a bit old, and might be grumpy sometimes, but try to converse with him. I guarantee you he's nicer than you think. I've chatted with him three times now, and purchased on two different occasions. Very likely I will be back. I fully support smaller stores with expertise in their industry. Note: His store moved towards "Watch City" and is by the Elevator / Escalators. Bit hard to find him! read more

I had a very pleasant experience with Noah. I usually buy my suits at department stores, but I was referred over to Via Italia by a friend. Noah instantly greeted me when I walked in the door. He asked me what I was looking for and my budget. I have purchased suits in the past so I had an understanding on the cost of suits. Some people have a problem with someone asking the budget but this way it allows the person assisting you an idea of what to show you. You are wasting your time if you go in without an idea of what you want to pay. You end up trying on suits that could be $800, $900, or $1000 when you really just wanted to spend $300 to $400. Right off the bat he told me he knew that I had an issue when it came to suit sizes. All the jackets that fit me in the shoulders were too big on my mid section and if the mid section was comfortable the shoulders was too small. It was nice for him to confirm my issue without me even saying a word about it. Noah spent the next hour bringing me different colors and styles of suits in order for me to try on. I probably tried on about 15 different suits and I was able to narrow down the selection to two suits that I really liked. Although I tried on many suits I never felt rushed. During this time I had his full attention. He was honest on what he thought looked good as well as being honest if it did not fit well. I ended up purchasing two suits and both were tailored to my exact size. On both jackets I had the jackets brought up so they weren't too long and I had the mid sections brought in a little. The pants were both adjusted to my actual waist size as well as hemming the length. I just picked up both suits today and they are exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back for my next suit. Dishonest practices. I purchased over $800 worth of merchandise (suits, ties) that were to be shipped to me. I was in town from NJ. They never did ship although they told me it was on the way after I followed up when I got home. They also told the credit card company I left the store with the merchandise. Good thing credit card resolved for me. The suits were nice and price fair. Extremely disappointed Via Italia were dishonest brokers. Buyer beware! read more

I never bought anything from this place, but I have been in there to glance around. The store of course is completely empty, aside from an employee at the register. As I'm looking at things, he asks in a fairly impolite tone, "What are you looking for?" I tell him I'm just looking around, that it was my first time in his store. He acknowledges and goes on talking to whoever on the phone. A moment later, not even 3 minutes, he says, "Is there something I can help you with?" You might think that is just customer service. But his tone is anything but polite. It's very push and rude. He sounds inconvenienced. He's probably used to people coming in and looking around not buying anything, because he scares them off. Fact is, he should have walked over to me and talked to me directly instead of yelling out from his counter, how unprofessional can you get? read more

This is a hard task because blacks are difficult to match, but when I stumbled into this shop after going by all the other shops in the mall, Noah took care of me very professionally and made me assured that I was going with the right style, fit, and color. His prices were very competitive and it included tailoring. Me being very thin and liking the skinny and a modern fit, he gladly tailored my outfit twice to get the perfect look with no additional charge.
