Their ebike tour was absolutely awesome! Rooster was incredible, he made the trip very informative and fun taking me to lots of unique spots across the city you wouldn't usually think of visiting. He has a rich knowledge of the history behind different things and gives you a great understanding of the culture and history of the different places you visit during the tour. He was an incredible tour guide, making it very personal taking photos and having a great time showing me around throughout the tour. The bikes were awesome super smooth and a powerful ride and I was incredibly impressed with the entire experience as a whole! Will be trying the food truck tour when I'm back in town

    Replacement Zugo for original Zugo

This is a follow up to my last post. Save you the long story but after several months of changing out parts , Zugo made arrangements for me to take the bike to an E- bike repair shop near me. The shop was was receptive to all the issues I had with the bike and I had tried changing out lots of things Zugo had recommended. It was comforting to find out they too could not figure out the issue and could not get the bike to operate correctly. I heard back from Zugo and they offered to replace the bike with a new one. So with that being said I do give them 3 stars for that and making the arrangements for the bike to get fixed. Just very frustrated over the amount of time that was wasted trying to fix something that was apparently unrepairable that was just a few months old.

Error code and issues after only 28 miles put on the bike in a suburban area.

On only the 2nd day of attempting to use my new bike, both the pedal-assist and throttle did not work and the display showed error code "08". Zugo's response was just to have me unplug and replug wires, take a bunch of pictures of the wires and parts, and then send new wires when the trouble-shooting didn't work. I replaced the old wires with new and the bike still doesn't work. I am not a bicycle technician and I shouldn't be expected to suddenly become one. I paid out-of-pocket for a third-party bicycle technician look at it and provide real answers and was told the issue was with the motor. I reported this to Zugo and their response was to be dismissive of the technician's findings and state that they do not have any spare motors to send and don't know when they will get new ones in stock. So are they just not going to make more bikes for the time being? My trying to get Zugo to abide by their product and warranty, as well as interacting with them is like someone going to seek medical attention for a deep gash, and just being given a needle, some thread and a printout of sewing instructions, then being sent home to do my own stiches. Please don't make the same expensive mistake I did. Stay clear of Zugo and go with a company that has the proffesionalism and resources to provide real support.

Awesome bikes and Great service, these guys take pleasure in what they do. I am glad I went with Zugo Bike, so much fun riding around the city.

Zugo bikes are the best bike on the market. If you live in ATX then there is no other option. Not only will you be cruising the best e-bike, but will get the best service when things need a tune up. Zugo knows what they are doing. So grateful for their mechanics!!

The pandemic has been rough for everyone. Despite all of the trying conditions and me not having access to the Zugo team directly, the tech support team worked hard to make sure all my needs were met even when I was upset. They are patient, kind and attentive to even the minor issues. They fixed every issue I've presented and I am now confident that they will fix any issue if one presents itself in the future! I am a Proud member of the Zugo family now and can't wait till they decide to branch over to the east coast in the future. Rhino roll out!

I recently purchased a Rhino from ZuGo and I am extremely pleased with this ebike and the subsequent customer experience in my dealings with ZuGo. They have been working with me on customizing the bike as my primary transportation and have been very helpful, generous with their time for my questions, and knowledgeable with their answers. They're always there for me!!

The owners of this company also have an Airbnb in the same lot where my partner and I stayed as we visited Austin. Juls let us borrow the bikes during our stay and we were super pleased to explore the city on them! The battery lasted days and even though we rode them at full speed for most of the time and we didn't have to charge the batteries at all. The pedal assist, throttle, gears, & brakes were all easy to set and navigate. The quality of the bikes is superior to the commerical electric scooters I'm use to using around cities and highly recommend them if you're looking for something you can either ride for fun or long term.

Unaccepatble routing of cable. Should be all in front of handle bars

First off I would like add the 1 bike is fun, noisy but fun. I purchased two bikes one for wife and other for me. The bikes arrived in damaged shipping boxes, both bikes came with torn seats, damaged rear rack, a chain which was completely off the sprockets and derairler, a kick stand that was too short to hold the bike up, ( apparently there are two sizes? Unknown why). The routing of cabling around the handle bars on 1 bike was a disater. There are many issues which would take a novel to write. The quality assurance of these bikes are a tossup. 1 bike came ok, the other was a complete lemon, however the absolute worse issue is the customer service. After 3 months of unable to ride 1 bike I still have not received the correct part. Trying to get a hold of someone is almost impossible, met with auto texts and emails. I have spoken to Norman and Darwin, and Tiffany over the last 3 months in absolute detail of the problem with no correct conclusion. The bike came with the 12 magnet sensor disc. After 3 months I received a sensor cable and a 3 inch cable? It is extremely frustrating to deal with zugo, for the price and market of ebikes I would STRONGLY advise to shop elsewhere.

It has been a while since I have been in a store where every store associate is super helpful and go out of their way to extend next level service. When I was an avid cyclist, Trek Bicycle was known as Austin's most dependable and all-around bike shop with a wide range of cyclist customers. I went into Trek for a two-fold purpose: 1) buy new bike shoes and 2) inquire regarding the status of my bike tires that have been seating in the garage for years (new tires or new tubes). When you walk into the store, you are met with a sea of bicycles...every color and style imaginable. Fortunately, I do not need a new bicycle because mine is in good shape. So, first, I inquire about my tires. The repair specialist was so super helpful, and he assured me that my tires might be ok. He suggested bringing the tires into the bike shop so he could inspect them. Next, I headed over to the bike shoe area, which is small but importantly they were having a sale. I snagged some $120 bike shoes for $30...score!!! Also, the sales associate offered to order me some insoles since they were out in my size. Super kind... The store sells a wide range of Trek bikes, including road, mountain, hybrid, and electric models, along with associated accessories and gear. The sales associates are top notch - super knowledgeable and not high-pressure sales folks. Also, the bike shop is known for its bike rentals, especially for visitors wanting to explore nearby Lady Bird Lake trail or nearby neighborhoods. Next visit tire inspection...

Absolutely no pressure in sales and when you're spending $2k on a bicycle you want to feel like you're not being pressured to buy but being helped to purchase the right bike for you. Can't recommend the team here enough! Post purchase I came back in to get some adjustments and advice and the team was more than willing to take time to help adjust seat height and hood angle to get the right comfort fit. I was cross shopping a Canyon brand bike but you just can't put a price on having a brick and mortar to turn to for post purchase support and service. Highly recommend this store and Trek!

They were sold out of the more common sizes on the discount rack. However, I was pleased with my purchase. Prices are in line with what I pay in the Washington DC area. I let the sales person know the model and size I wanted and let him know I was interested in accessories, as well. He was terse and seemed irritated I called as he informed me that it wouldn't arrive until October (this is June). {2020} I asked if I could get it any sooner or if I needed to preorder. He, in a very frustrated tone and manner, told me that I could call other stores around the country and see if they would be willing to ship it to me. I tried to explain that I was asking so that I could find out the procedure to buy and was trying to find out if I needed to pay for it in advance or pre-order it. After he let me know I wouldn't need to pre-pay; I started to ask another question with the intention of seeing if he had suggestions on other bikes that might work for me. When he interrupted me again with frustration in his voice, I hung up on him. Maybe he misunderstood the phrase "Keep Austin Weird" as "Keep Austin Wired". I'm guessing there are no commission sales. Either way, I'm pretty certain I can locate the model I am looking for elsewhere... Even if it's in October, another city, or an online retailer. Update: {2025} I ended up calling a store in San Marcos next. They were amazing and I ended up buying several bikes from them over the next 5 years, whil sending all my friends from Austin to them. I was talked into going to Mellow Johnnies a few months back to get some supplies to help a friend with his bike. At least they maintained some consistency, their service was terrible. Whether you are a noob or an experienced rider, I'd find another shop.
