Called 'em up and was assured that'd be easily doable. Had the bike towed there so they could assess it, determine what all would need to be done, and provide a cost estimate. The assessment took a little while (a couple of weeks), but once they'd determined that, they got the repairs/replacements done in under a week! Wow! The price was also incredibly fair. When I stopped in to pick her back up, I finally got to meet the folks and see the shop, and I gotta say, it's clear these folks like bikes and like working on bikes. This is their jam. The employees are friendly and helpful and their hands are stained with grease-- exactly who you want working on your vehicular baby! She's been purring perfectly ever since for all my zooming about town. The shop decor is fun too-- they've got a pinball machine on free play if you need to kill some time while you wait. On my way to the bathroom I saw they even have some arcade-style motorcycle SEGA games! They have merch for sale like t-shirts. Bathroom is immaculately clean for a shop toilet. Impressive. If you're in need of a motorcycle repair, trust these folks with it!!

I walked in 10 mins before closing (unknowingly) after wrestling with my tires all day. They didn't hesitate and had them done in 10 mins. After a failed brake flush in my own I rode my bike up there. They had rear brakes replaced, front tire turned the right way (I'm not much of a mechanic lol), bled brakes, replaced axel nut that had stripped and let me know I needed a new brake fluid reservoir that had stripped. Took an hour to find all the problems and fix them. Seriously won't go anywhere else. Was expecting crazy prices but not the case. Wheels out on the rims under what I expected and one hour service a few days later was reasonably priced.

I took it to platinum motorcycles and discussed options with them over e-mail. They had great ideas on how to bring it back to life. In the end, we went with a new cobalt paint and re-chrome. They even did a little Texas custom logo on my air cleaner. Man, the work is awesome! Tore it down and put it back together again. I can't believe it's the same bike. They were super thorough, very knowledgeable and really friendly throughout the whole deal. I give them wholeheartedly 5-stars. Their prices were great and work was top notch. And all this over e-mail mind you. I've never met nor talked with them once. Final note that this was over the COVID-19 period. That's the sign of a great shop doing great work.

I purchased a motorcycle from Family PowerSports and experienced one of the worst dealership processes imaginable. It took over 60 days to receive my permanent license plates, which violates Texas law (dealers must title within 45 days for financed vehicles). My temporary tags expired and I couldn't legally ride the bike I was paying for. I followed up constantly -- calling the dealership, calling corporate HQ, even contacting my bank and the DMV. No one had answers. I was promised call-backs that never came, put on hold endlessly, and strung along with vague excuses. Eventually I had to file formal complaints with the Texas DMV and the Attorney General's office just to get the dealership to act. And based on other reviews I've read, I'm not the only one who's had this problem. They've done this before. Even before the plates issue, the buying process was a mess. It took days just to get a quote. They were evasive about the bike's history, refused to provide service records, and acted like asking for clear documentation was unreasonable. At one point, I was told I wouldn't need to sign anything -- then two months later I was suddenly asked to sign a title. They didn't even have me sign the bill of sale when I bought the bike. It's clear they don't understand their own process. To make things worse, corporate HQ is just as disorganized -- they gave me the runaround and never once stepped in to resolve the issue. For a company that claims to value customer relationships, their actions say otherwise. I'm leaving this review so that others are warned. It's not just a frustrating experience -- it's a legal violation, and it speaks to a broader problem with how Family PowerSports does business.
