I have known Steve for about 4 years, and have taken 3 different makes to him for repair. During this 4 year time period, I was tricked into a dealer service agreement, which was a total disaster. I am now free and now I use Steve exclusively for any repair. He is professional, friendly, very detail oriented, and very reasonable in repair cost. His work, knowledge, and experience is above expectations. During my last service at T.P.C., Steve and I chatted like friends about current events and the motorcycle industry. The owner has good salesmanship, but nothing else follows. He works alone, so Quality Review for his work isn't there. He ignores repair procedures, skips steps, and cuts corners. Replaced crankcase cover but didn't use gasket sealant. Motor oil leaked all over my $300 boots. I also paid him to replace headers. He failed to install O2 sensors bcz he said Akrapovic's mid-pipe didn't have the right size bung, which was a total BS (He was in a rush and forgot). He wired my taillight incorrectly, I am missing a few snaps for my fairings, and lied my brakes fluids were flushed (I'm not blind to dirty fluid, Stephen. Your wife was there, so I didn't challenge you). He needs to go back to school. read more

I received word of a local motorcycle repair shop total performance cycle. Again being a little suspect since it was not a big name facility. I cautiously called and met with the owner Steve. To my surprise he did an amazing job at 50% percent of the cost awesome work my bike has never run as efficiently or as smoothly since I've owned it. He went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service to me. He did the research and got me a better tire. He did a thorough job: oil changes the pressure chicks topped off the fluids in the lubes which was not a part of the job but he went the extra mile. I took my bike to Steve on Wednesday and he was able to get me going in a few days. I was overjoyed because another bike shop had it for 2 week and did nothing. He was honest and fair when spoke with him over the phone. I had the bike towed because Steve said not to drive it so not to do anymore damage. That I appreciated so much. It didn't take but a few days to call me and tell me to come get it and it was finished. I was very happy. I will never use anyone but steve when it comes to my yamaha or any other bike I have. These guys have the experience and knowledge about all things motorcycles. But the thing that stands out the most for me is that today, they went above and beyond to help me. I did an Evel Knievel at 85 mph and hit an extension ladder on the tollway, and amazingly enough didn't crash. I did however lose the spring on my center stand. They got me right in on an emergency and got a new spring put on. When I asked how much it was, they said it was on the house. Men of integrity run this shop. Steve at total performance in my opinion is the best around !!!! I would not trust my motorcycle to anyone else. I have been to several other shops only to have to bring it back because it was never fixed right. With Steve it was fixed the first time in less than a day.
