Brought my T120 Triumph in to be looked over at the 12,000 mile mark. Two issues I asked Sean to look at were the front brake and the clocks. For some reason the wiring to the clocks and the starter button was so constricted the clocks would randomly go dead while riding or would not set in order for the bike to start. I got lucky and was able to have the issue happen while Sean was looking at the bike. Sean reworked the wiring and put better quality brake pads on the front. Wiring issue solved and now I have an effective front break. Hats off to Sean for listening and taking care of business. Bike runs great now. I will be back! read more

Came here to get my dirtbikes front tire tube replaced. I took it off the bike so it'd be a bit cheaper. Called them up and they said they can do it today, sweet. Dropped it off and they said they will get to it. About 3 hours later I call then and ask about what time to expect it, they say head on in it will be done soon, okay. Get there 30 minutes later and was told it's on the rack give me 20 min. I got my tire and wheel back and immediately notice big scratches in the metal of my wheel, presumably from the tire spoons. This is a dirt bike tire so I dont care too much but it does look ugly, and just seems careless. I wouldnt bring my Harley here ever wouldn't want those wheels getting scratched. And holy hell be ready to pay out the azz for this place. Charged me 75$ for a FRONT TIRE TUBE REPLACE OFF BIKE. Most tire places charge 30-50$ max for this job. If it were still on the bike I'd understand but jeez But I was already too far in to back out. Oh well live and learn. 2 stars because they were nice and even after my scratched up wheel and empty pockets. The job was completed. read more

Super shop, fast, friendly, fair! I called about an oil change and they said they could get it done right away so I rode over and sure enough I was in and out in about an hour. Local shop, been around for a while, super friendly and pricing was very fair. Stop complaining about pricing, ride a scooter if you don't want to pay. I mean come on people, support your local business, they are your neighbors and are just trying to make an honest living. I'll be back when its time for my next service! Much appreciated! read more

This has one star, because Yelp doesn't have a "WARNING: CROOKS!!!! choice. Avoid Austin Moto Classics at all costs, unless you really enjoy having smoke blown up your butt. My 2000 W650 was running like crap, so I took it in. They did a carb rebuild and it ran even worse. I took it back, they had it another couple of weeks and then when I called said that it needed manifolds. Ok. Why didn't you check that when you pulled the carbs? Cost, $325.78. So, they replaced the manifolds. No improvement. In fact, it might even be a bit worse. I took it back. The manager started into a smoke up the butt routine about it needing 'tuning'. I should have stopped right there and taken it somewhere else. But, I allowed them to charge me for a jet kit and tuning, to the tune of $511.25 And another two weeks. It's getting to be riding season by now. I picked the bike up, and it ran EVEN WORSE. The manager attempted to blow smoke up my butt yet again about how it just needed to be tweaked... I told him to expect a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. He wasn't impressed, so I hope this review makes more of an impression. I then took the bike to Austin City Powersports, where they had it running great in a week. So it WAS possible. The mechanic put the stock jets back and said that there really wasn't anything broke; the mechanic just didn't know what he was doing and didn't set it up properly. You should not take anything to this shop. The mechanic is bad, and the manager.... lies. read more

Fast service, called and they got me in and out for a tire change. Service was so great I had them rewire the new handlebars, put on new grips, and put on a new front brake line on my girlfriend's bike. Awesome job! The bike looks sick. I would recommend bringing your bikes here for performance upgrades, general service, and parts. Service date: 09/23/2014 Service performed: Motorcycle diagnostic Model: 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 250EX Problem: Cuts off when accelerating I have never been to this place, but it was the closest to where I lived, so I gave it a try. I saw bikes lined up outside the front of the building. I went through the garage to speak to someone about my bike. He listened to my problem and then brought me inside the store to get a work order started. The other guy inside the store wrote up the work order and stated, "Next time you come in, check in through the store. You can't come in through the garage like that. That's like going to a restaurant and going to the kitchen to order your food." I explained to him that I thought the bikes that were outside the store were for sale, and that this part of the building was for selling motorcycles which is why I went to the SERVICE department. The reality was that the motorcycles in front of the store are all bikes needing to get fixed. Had I known that, I would have entered through the store entrance instead of the garage. He didn't have to make a rude comment like that, though. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. BREAKDOWN: $90/hr for labor My bike took 1.5hrs = $135 What they did: Replace a $12 sparkplug They said that my back tire was leaking air as well, and they would be able to replace it for $190 ($120 for the tire, $70 for labor). I declined, and ordered online at bikebandit.com for $60, and had another guy put it on for $40. Next day, bike was running. However, within a week, my bike had a flat tire. I ordered the tire, then had it put on about a month later. Within ONE week, the bike had died on me AGAIN! I took it to the same guy who replaced my tire, and he found the REAL problem: My bike was running on WATER. I have inclinations to believe Austin Motos had something to do with this, considering they were the last business to work on my bike. Austin Motos did not help diagnose the problem or fix the issues I had paid for. Overpriced. Poor communication. Misdiagnosis of problem. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

These guys are bike mechanics that ride , work on and build bikes because that is their passion not just their profession. This place was recommended by a guy at my work, I needed my forks rebuilt (leaking oil). I spoke with Sean there about doing it and said they were able to do. So I ordered the parts (Yamaha OEM) oil seal/dust seal kit, cap o-rings and crush washers for the bolt that holds inner and outer tubes together, so they provide labor and the oil and if bushings were needed once tore down. Parts came in, went to go drop them off after speaking with Sean the previous day to make sure we're on schedule. Got there, unloaded the forks, went to go get the parts and a printed up a section from the OEM service manual. There is a special "NOTE" in bold large text, as soon as I was about to show him that, Sean said I don't want to work on them, I paused and looked at him and he said seriously, I don't want to work on them. I don't want to deal with something that requires special attention or some specific thing (something along those lines). Typically, when a manual has a note in large bold text, you probably should pay attention to it. Steer clear from this place if you can, take extra time to find somewhere else to go like I did which was a better experience. read more

Dropped off my 93' HD HERITAGE SOFTAIL to get looked at since it wasn't charging the battery. I was told I needed $700 in repair to change the stator. That is outrageous! So I declined to get the service done and they told me I was still being charged $95 for a diagnostic. WHATEVER! All that took was to plug in a wire and check if my stator was working. Pulled in for an inspection sticker and an oil change and they knocked it out while I waited in less than half an hour. The staff up front and the mechanics were friendly and professional. The $90/hour labor fee is slightly higher than some outlying locations, but it would take a LOT of labor to recover the cost of cab fare and lost time getting there and back. read more

Walked in to ask a simple question about getting a piece for my bike that could have been pulled off of any motorcycle that would even be junked. Ignored upon walking in the door and didn't even make eye contact with the guy behind the counter as he was to busy to acknowledge my existence, his recommendation was to travel "just up the road" to a place that was all the way across town and didn't even give me any sort of explanation as to why for some reason they're not carrying something that is so easy to pull off of a junked motorcycle. I give it a second star because some of the things they had in the shop for sale were good for the price the customer service of the man standing behind the counter with sour. read more

Don't bother with this place unless it's dire. And it was for me. Quoted ~$120 to get my bike running (I don't know much about bikes) and $800 later I rode it off the lot. Main gist was that they replaced the fluids, brake pads gave it a check up. For $800. Two days later bike wouldn't start. I asked my question on an online bike forum and was told that for bikes like mine, it was a battery issue and I should get a $40 trickle charge. Viola! Bike starts and runs fine now. I've been to the this shop several times for everything from routine maintenance to gear to advice. Although it seems a little disorganized, they do good work at reasonable prices. I find them to be a much better alternative to the Triumph dealer. If you live on the south side, I would definitely give them a shot. read more

Friendly people. I try to do most of my own maintenance but sometimes you have to pay someone else for their experience and resources. The first time I went through these guys was to put new tires on my TW. I brought the wheels and new tires in. They said that they weren't supposed to swap tires without the whole bike in the shop but they'd do it just this once for me. This makes sense, you don't want a dumb customer to poorly affix a wheel back on a bike just to wreck a mile down the road, leaving a family to seek compensation from a negligent shop. Next I brought the TW into their current location after attempting to unjam the chain from the sprocket. If you don't tension the chain it slackens quickly due to gear braking, resulting in a chain wrapped around the axle. I couldn't get the side cover off and just wanted the bike ready for the beautiful weekend. I brought it in on Friday and got it back Saturday morning with a new chain and oil. And lastly, I brought in my Suzuki Intruder for new fork seals and oil. While I was having them take care of that I asked the owner where I could go to get the vinyl seats re-wrapped. He suggested Cardenas Upholstery. I just picked up the seats and bike today and am happy with the work. Now I just need some sunshine. read more
