This spot has been several restaurants. Zorba's is a fast service diner. Order at the counter, from a huge menu. Well, it's big, but there are so many things on it that the one on the wall has tiny print and is hard to read. If you're older like me, you might want to pick up a paper menu. Which they have plenty of. Menu covers all the basics for breakfast and a lot of omelette options. I didn't look closely at the lunch side but there are some interesting choices there that I would've gotten if it weren't 8 AM. Service minimal but nice, friendly ordering and then they bring the food out to your table. I got biscuits and gravy, of course. Because I love them, and because I make really good ones at home. The sausage gravy is from a can probably, but decent. The biscuits were also industrial commercial types, but sturdy enough for gravy. You can get them with eggs which I did. We have our own chickens, so I am also judgy about eggs, the ovae themselves and the preparation style. I asked for over medium, and what I usually get is this, over easy. A little runnier than I like, but not bad. And they have hot sauce on the table, which I always appreciate. Price was very reasonable, speed was excellent. The place is nice enough and comfy. I should've ordered the Full Version, because I misjudged it. My meal(S) came to $14. A fair price, and although I don't like the sourness of Turkey Gravy, I felt most would love it, especially at the low price. . My Wife ordered the Tex-Mex plate. It's portion is about that of an old-school breakfast place, closer to a serving plate in size, loaded with Three Eggs, Chorizo, Hash Browns, and two pieces of toast. . She absolutely loved her meal, bringing home a heaping doggie bag after a full eat. . Our Friend Ron ate the Buckeye Plate, which was close to Tee Jayes Barnyard Buster, but without Gracy. He enjoyed that, too. Our entire order, for 2 Entrees, two small entrees, and three drinks, came to $51. A Decent Deal. The cashier greeted us as we walked in, and was very friendly as we decided on our order. I ordered the Greek Omelette, it was very good, would have been even better with a side of tzatziki. IMHO the price are a little high for a place that doesn't offer table service, but I digress. The inside is a quiet inviting area. More like a seat urself diner. I ordered a side salad. Added some grilled chicken to the salad. I also ordered cup of chicken noodle soup. Also order a beef hot dog made like a coney style. Added extra onions and held off on the cheese. Results the side salad was a nice size. The chicken is more like char grilled. I prefer moist softer chicken. Once i added some seasoning to it. It will do the job. The chicken noodle soup had egg shell noodles the chicken bites were soft and carrots were fresh. I would say once you add some salt it will pep it up. Just a tad bland. But over all was fresh. The coney hot dog was tasting does the job. Chilli has a bit of sweet to it. I was just in the area wanting to kill time and hungry and didn't want to go any typical breakfast spots so I stepped into Zorba's. Before it was Zorbas it was a very delicious Chinese food spot so I've been eyeing this spot for sometime now! I walked in to an empty dining area which is fine by me just means I should be able to get my food pretty quickly. Ms Kisha greeted me and let me know I can take a menu, seat myself, when I'm ready I can come back up and order. I will say when I order and I am indecisive lol. I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I ended up making my own combo which before taxes was just around $10 which isn't bad at all! A lot of the omelet options included 3 to 4 eggs which is just too much for me so I got the mini breakfast (2 eggs) with bacon, hash brown, 2 slices of wheat toast and I added a side of grits. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. The food was pretty good but I couldn't taste any seasoning on the eggs and hash browns. They do provide salt, franks red hot, mustard, ketchup, and sugars. No pepper was at my table and I noticed it was missing from a few other tables as well. Great portions for everything. I think I ordered enough for maybe 2 people or 1 person and a kid to split. My favorite was the hashbrown! It was nice and crunchy on the outside and a rich creamy texture on the inside. I would definitely get that every time. First time diner here. I really liked how open it was. The design flowed very well. We were greeted with a friendly smile and they helped out on ordering. This was our 1st time trying this place and it was very good! I'm from the Detroit area and we have the best coneys in the Detroit area unlike the so called coney places in ohio, that Cincinnati style coney is not a good coney. But, Zorbas Diner is the Detroit style coney! It is the only place I've found that taste and reminds me of coneys from back home! We were told the owner is from Detroit but, he wasn't there the day we were in there. I'm hoping next time we go, to meet the owner. I'm so glad to see and taste food made like I grew up on from Detroit! Thank you for opening this place. The food was very good and the service was very friendly and fast! Wanted a good breakfast, yelped out this gem on the way out of town. Set up to order food at the counter and they bring it to you. I got the mini (basic) breakfast and added a pancake. If the pancake wasn't enormous, I would have finished both plates. Food was excellent, no complaints. Service was quick and the restaurant was nice and open. This place did not disappoint. From the time we entered we received a warm friendly greeting. I ordered the half portion of pancakes and my husband ordered the half portion of French toast. Often when I order this kind of food it tastes like something I would make. Who wants to go to a restaurant and taste your own cooking ? Not me . These did not taste anything like what I would cook. I had 2 huge fluffy pancakes served with butter. I had a taste of my husbands French toast and it was delish. Plenty of syrup too. Don't let the name fool you. It has a nice variety of ethic and American selections. My husband and I recently visited this very clean restaurant with a large variety of offerings on their menu. On our first visit I chose the fish sandwich. It came on a large bun needed for the large fish portions. I tried the onion rings, great choice. Thin coating and a slice ring of onion, nicely fried. The next visit we both chose the Angus burgers. My husband had Swiss cheese, one of the four choices. Both were cooked to order. It came presented on a large bun, needed for a thick patty. I appreciated the leaf lettuce instead of shredded. The tomatoes were NOT sliced paper thin, like other restaurants. We tried the fries. Another good choice. The good-sized portion had a crispy coating. We are looking forward to our next visit to try something else. Five stars all around. The only small item that we didn't enjoy was the tartar sauce. This was our first time at Zorba's. We went for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning. There were diners coming and going, but it was not packed. You order at the counter, fill your drinks, and grab a table. Once your food is ready, the friendly staff brings it to your table. I was concerned when we first walked in because the menu was on a screen on the wall. I don't see well enough to read all the details this picky eater needs to see. No worries. There are paper menus available at the counter. There are lunch and dinner selections, but breakfast is available anytime. Nice! I like my eggs basted, but many places can't tackle this request. When the counter person asked how I wanted my eggs, I asked if they could do basted. She said she didn't know what that was, but yelled back to the cook if he could do that. He confirmed he could, then questioned himself, then said ok. I was concerned, but have had basted failures in the past and survived, what's one more try? I got the hash browns (shredded), but they also had home fries (cubed) as well. Took bacon versus sausage links and white toast versus wheat or rye( I think, and my mini breakfast order was complete. I've tasted it before at previous spots, usually cheapy diners, and I just don't care for it. I think that was the only real negative I had with my breakfast. Cooked right,, not so good on flavor. The bacon was ok, not bad, not great. Nicely cooked though. The husband ate the omelet generously filled with cut up sausage links and plenty of cheese slices. They had Frank's Red Hot, so he was happy. The staff was friendly and helpful , especially for us newbies. Food came out in a reasonable time. Had to wait for a new pot of coffee, but at least the husband got some that was fresh and hot. This was our third stop for breakfast this morning. We accidentally found this place while renewing our drivers license nearby. I hesitate to write more as this will be the fourth day in a row we have eaten there and crowds might cause me to get takeout instead. This is absolutely the best affordable breakfast on this planet! The eggs are truly cooked to order. Tony has a secret recipe for his pancakes and his Chicago grits-what can I say. We also loved the crispy shredded hash browns and velvety sausage gravy. Got a carryout perch dinner on Good Friday. Very tasty. And one dinner was plenty for the two of us. The dine in facility was very nice - modern and clean. Plenty of parking. I would recommend that the owner change the name from Zorba's Diner to "Zorba's American Diner" to dispel the inference that it is based on Greek cuisine. That inference is drawn from our familiarity with "Zorba the Greek". (For those who might like a beer or some wine with dinner, I think Ohio law might not prohibit your bringing your own to a restaurant that does not have its own permit to sell/serve beer/wine.
