"Wow! They did a really nice job on your car, Bob. It looks like it's brand new." This is what I heard from many of the residents of my apartment complex. "They" in this quote refers to Andrey Isayen and his crew at Zoom Auto Body who did an outstanding job painting my '91 Mazda Miata. Andrey is nothing less than a perfectionist. The first time I took the car in for an estimate, he and four members of his crew spent about 20-30 minutes examining the car, the original color of which was white but had been painted black. I told them that I didn't want to pay more for a paint job than what I had paid for the car itself -- $2,600. Their final judgement was that they couldn't meet my offer because they would wind up losing money on the deal. So, Andrey said that he would try to find someone who could do it at that price, maybe an independent who worked alone at his home. Well, the upshot was that he wasn't able to find anyone. So, I called around to some of the low-cost auto painters (Maaco, 1-Day Paint & Body Center, Earl Scheib, etc.), but just didn't feel comfortable that they would do a good job -- one that would last for several years. So, I went back to Zoom and upped the ante by $1,000. Once again, Andrey spent at least 30 minutes carefully examining the car again and said that he would spend a day or two thinking it over. I knew he was sincere and careful in making a decision about which cars he would accept to work on. My car posed a particular problem because of the original color being white. So, when I got the call that he would take it on, I was absolutely elated because I felt that I could place my trust in him. If you need body work done, look no further ! I went to Zoom on the. Recommendation of a friend, after I had been sideswiped in a parking lot. Andre did a magnificent job of fixing that plus damage to that same area that I didn't even know was there , and which should have been done by the well known body shop that had repaired it previously. Since I was having insured work done anyway, I took the opportunity to fix the rear bumper that I had banged up myself. Andre gave me a deal that was amazingly good. AMAZING! If you need an auto repair look no more. This is the place! I initially found this place on yelp because I saw that all their ratings are 5 stars and let me tell you, they truly deserve it. I came in with the anticipation of it taking a few hours, but Andrey stopped what he was doing to assess my car and started working on it immediately, finishing in less than 40 minutes. The socket holding in the nut from my back window had become too loose that the bolt popped out and wouldn't go back in (that's what she said). Andrey let me know that I could order a new part or he could do a quick fix but the end of the bolt would show through, but either way I need something to hold it down for the time being so perhaps the quick fix was the way to go. So he drilled a new hole and added a new bolt and said if I don't care about the aesthetics that the quick fix would be sufficient and I wouldn't need a new part. Then when he finished and I was ready to pay he told me not to worry about it, and that it's not always about money. I was dumbfounded by his generosity and honesty, especially in this day and age. Zoom Auto Body will always have my service and I know I will be in good hands. Just be wary when you're driving in. There's another body repair shop next door that's different so if you miss it, you need to make a big circle through a residential area with a bunch of speed bumps to come back around. So make sure you turn into the first lot if you're heading north. read more

Thankful for finding Andrey at Zoom Auto Body. On two separate occasions some careless person backed into my 2006 TSX in the parking lot. The damage was not too bad. The front and back bumpers came slightly loose from the brackets and stuck out on either side. The front bumper started hanging lower and I did not want it to get worse. Andrey gave me a very reasonable quote and remembered me when I came back two weeks later. It was a small job so I was happy he fit me in his busy schedule. When I got there he asked one of his guys to stop work on another car to work on mine. He worked with my budget and was very honest with the fix as I was unable to pay for the bumpers to be removed and straightened out properly. I did ask for the most affordable repair. With that said he showed me how the bumpers wouldn't line up perfectly unless I got them straightened out the right way - totally understandable and fair. I was ok living with the dings left in it but happy to see the bumpers were flush again and intact. He ended up charging me less than quoted and I was in and out within the hour. Andrey gave me a thorough estimate by really inspecting my car, the damage, and the material/labor involved. This place has 100% secured my business for any future auto body work. I came in on my lunch hour without making an appointment or calling ahead of time to get an estimate for some front bumper/fender damage from an accident. Andrey immediately gave me an excellent no BS quote for the repair work (about $200-$500 less than other quotes I had received. He told me it would be done by Friday at the latest (came in on Wednesday at noon) and even offered me a ride back to my office. I had a detailing appointment on Friday at 1:30, so I called him on Thursday after 6, and he said it would be ready by noon at the latest. True to his word, I picked up the car at noon the next day, the repair work was EXCELLENT, the entire bumper looked brand new and was perfectly matched with Mazda3's Black Mica color. He even went the additional mile to repaint my aftermarket front lip (which was chipped all over) and which I had chosen to exclude from the quote, replace 6 missing screws from my front grille (which I would have had to drive to Alhambra Mazda and pay for to replace), and repair the bracket on the inside of the fender which had shattered in the accident. On top of that he vacuumed my filthy front passenger and driver side floor mats, and left no marks anywhere on the interior or exterior. Did I mention Andrey and his staff are very friendly? This is exactly the type of service and experience I expect from an auto shop, and which I have never received until I went to Zoom.
