This will be a short review due to the fact that I had visited this restaurant about a year ago. What I remember was that the food was very fresh and tasted very good. The hamburger was very tasty and the fries were fresh and hot. I also remember that the portions were a little small. The hamburger patty was fairly thin. Not quite as thin as McDonald's, but thin. If you want a tasty burger, but not too hungry, this will be a good place. I had to wait a little, not too long, I believe they make the burgers to order. Inside, is your typical hamburger joint. Ordered two regular size fish and chips. Each order had three pieces of fish. All six pieces of fish were awful. Super chewy like rubbery. Was very disappointed. Also ordered a corn dog for my granddaughter. It was drenched in oil sadly. I asked for tartar and fry sauce. We got tartar which is nothing to rave about and no fry sauce. I like this location on the one ways. They have Longhorn BBQ sauce which I like better on the Wrangler than other locations that use a different bbq sauce. Their service is fast and friendly. They seem to check the orders to make sure you receive what you ordered. read more

Zips is truly a staple of the Pacific Northwest. These bad reviews are not accurate! I love Zips and this location never falls short. The burgers are always fresh with a soft bun, fries are hot & tasty, and they have a great extensive menu. The workers are always kind. Brutal reviews here, damn. I went in for a couple of post-workout double cheeseburgers and they were excellent. Hot, cheese was melted, everything good. I still think they put a little too much ketchup on the lower bun, and the pickles are spongy, but whatever. For Zip's cheeseburgers, they were perfect. It was $13 something for the pair, so not cheap, but worth it. I would have dined in, but their lobby was closed. Service was prompt and friendly. I was mildly confused by the drive-in entrance at the corner of the parking lot on the west side. I'm used to the drive-ins that go behind the restaurant. Anyway, despite the poor reviews, this has been my best experience at Zip's since I moved here a couple months ago. I like Zip's because it's local. I was so disappointed after sitting in the drive through for 25 minutes to get all completely cold food EXCEPT for the corn dog!! 22$ literally wasted. Then when I tried to get it figured out, apparently it happens to be one that's randomly owned and not by the same people a the rest of them in town. I WISH I had known that before I stopped by, I probably wouldn't have. We were visiting relatives in Spokane and staying at a nearby hotel so when all of our immediate dining options are fast food, my husband suggested going to this local chain for the novelty of it. I wish we hadn't. Being from out of town we were not familiar with Zips and after eating there I still can't put my finger on their identity. The menu is enormous and the décor is dingy and dated - much like an early 90s Dairy Queen. They have a thousand different flavors of shakes and "hurricanes" (think DQ Blizzard), ice cream cones and every kind of fast food you could think of: fries, onion rings, burgers, fish & chips, sandwiches....it was just overwhelming and of all the things we ordered, none of it was well-executed. The unique shake flavors were probably the best and only pleasant part of the whole Zips experience. I took the kids to the ladies bathroom and it was tucked away behind several doors but once inside, the stalls did not have doors on them. That made me very uncomfortable as I ask my 8 year old to stand by the entrance and not let anyone in. Prices seemed in-line with other fast food restaurants but with a decaying dining room and just-ok food....I wouldn't choose to come back. read more

We decided to stop at Zips for takeout tonight, this was the first meal we have eaten out since the pandemic started, we felt like a little fast food. Another example of a fast food joint that regularly "f#cks you at the drive thru". Of course, they offer to replace the incorrect item if you call them... But isn't that what you paid for in the first place, without the inconvenience of driving back to the store? The Zips on Regal has it right: if they make a mistake, they REFUND and REPLACE. Been going to the Zip's downtown forever but recently moved to the NS and have been hitting this one up. Boy are all Zips not the same. 2x I got overcharged for my burger but really wasn't sure till I got home and did the math. The third time, again I was overcharged and politely brought it up at the drive thru and the gal pretty much rolled her eyes and begrudgingly gave me a new total. Today I ordered a fishwich and not only was it extraordinarily salty I found a big ass hair in it halfway through. Like 3+ inches long! And they consistently forget to give me my sauces I requested. Also they are always asking me what cheese I want on my sandwich (menu just 'says cheese') and neglect to tell you that it's an up-sale for an extra charge which is just wrong. If you're looking for completely inconsistent overpriced fast food this is your spot. Otherwise I'd try a different zips. read more

The counter person, seemed to have bored, all he did was play the drums on the counter. He continued playing the drums while we stood in front of him. When he stopped playing the drums, he gave us a look as if we dropped out of the ceiling. After taking our order, 2 burgers, 2 small sodas, and a small fry, he stated that our total was $7.41, and we handed him over $8.00. Looking at us as if we were stupid, he stated that he needed more money. I repeated our total $7.41. Oh no, he said he meant $11.41. Wake up dude. Guess customer service wasn't on his mind. When we got our order, we had to remind "Drummer boy" about our drinks. "Oh, you wanted drinks?" We were the only one's standing at the counter, and the order was still on his screen, had to show drummer boy our receipt in order to get our drinks. Don't get up on the North Side much, next time we want a burger, we'll have to look somewhere else. I have eaten in and gone through the drive-thru several times. I really like their HALIBUT. It's not cheap for a drive-in, but for halibut it's very affordable. Always good! And it's not cod passed off as halibut like some places try to do. I lived in Alaska for almost 20 years so I am kind of a halibut snob. read more

Not impressed at all. I had a chicken sandwich (which amounted to just lettuce and chicken) and my husband a bacon cheeseburger. They were tasteless, buns soggy and the mounds of chopped lettuce which was falling out had some brown slimy pieces in it. These two sandwiches and two lemonades (no fries) came to over $17!! This zips sucks. The food is often cold, they've gotten my order wrong many times and their portions are smaller than other zips in town.

Zips used to be pretty good for a cheap fast food meal......no longer my choice! They changed from fish fillets to nuggets so you get less, added some kind of seasoned powdery stuff to their chicken fillets, you have to pay extra to get cheese or bacon added to anything and increased their prices. Your lucky if you can leave there paying less than $20 for TWO meals (and have what you ordered in the bag when you leave the drive thru!) ! You can get an awesome lunch for TWO at Arby's for same price (price going up here also, but the food is the real thing). Outback and many other restaurants have specials that can be same as Zips (plus a tip), but much better food. Fast food chains need to get back to fast food prices. read more

This Zip's is definitely a major improvement over the Tri-Cities Zip's and the Zip's on Division just north of the Division Y, it's reasonably priced and I love how you're able to get refills on tartar sauce and soda unlike the Zip's in the Tri-Ciites read more
