Pistacchietto, lemon bar, and avocado toast with egg
Gretel Y.

What a beautiful space! Found myself on this part of Scottsdale one Sunday and decided to treat myself to brunch at Zingara. I don't normally dine by myself, but thought this was a great opportunity to. They had a handful of diners and weren't super busy. I was seated right away. The staff was super friendly and made great suggestions. I ordered the following: Pistacchietto $7 Avocado toast, $10 with egg +$3 Lemon bar The pistacchietto is a double espresso topped with Bronte pistachio cream with whipped cream. I expected it to be sweet, but was pleasantly surprised when I realized it wasn't. The avocado toast comes with Noble bread, avocado, sprouts, evoo, sea salt, pickled onions and feta emulsion. Oh my goodness, this was one of the best avo toasts I've ever had! It was a burst of flavors in my mouth. It was so good I almost ordered another one! Instead, I ordered the lemon bar to end my meal on a sweet note. It was a solid lemon bar. After my meal, I explored the market side which offers specialty foods, bespoke gifts, and more. Can't recommend Zingara enough. I'll definitely be back!

The food was good, but came out cold, leading me to believe that everything is prepared beforehand and then refrigerated or frozen until ready to serve. The interior of my breakfast burrito was definitely cold, but the exterior was quite warm. Microwave? The service was a little odd. Not very attentive or welcoming, and seemed almost put off when I was trying to order, because the two counter persons were engaged in personal conversation for several minutes while I waited. I also am not a local and didn't realize they had a limited menu that day, so my annoyance factor was high to these employees. I also found it less than ideal that they have you take a number to sit at the table, but then call you up to the counter to retrieve your own food. Then I saw that they were actually delivering food to tables with numbers that were near the counter. It was only me and one other person whose number they called out loud to come and pick up our food from the counter. The tables closest to the counter seemed to get the service, while the furthest away tables got a holler. It's a cute and fun-looking café with a nice vibe, very clean, but I probably won't be back because I like a little more welcoming atmosphere and for my food to be hot when served.

Went to the Sunday brunch, the food was great. The burrito was very tasty and the salsa it came with was delicious. The morning sandwich was also great too. The latte was just the perfect sweetness. Our server was very good and the food came fast! Also you can't go wrong with a homemade cinnamon roll with what tasted like cream cheese frosting. The ambiance was very inviting and the place had a good atmosphere. The items they sold also were cool, such as the Oasis raw milk and local eggs.

Everything about this place is amazing!! The cute coffee, the breakfast sandwiches which we have been back now twice, the shopping & wine bar. I would recommend it to everyone - walk or drive take your dog & you can sit outside!

Updated ambience! Beautiful, welcoming....perfect for celebrating our lower temps and fall! Coffee, pastries, breakfast fare still wonderful! Ambiente rinnovato! Bellissimo, accogliente... perfetto per festeggiare le nostre temperature più basse e l'autunno! Caffè, pasticcini, colazione ancora meravigliosi!

Zingara is a new, exciting, and unique coffee shop & market (including "gifts for the gourmet") that transforms into a wine bar and bistro at 4:00, offering a special menu of French & Italian sharables, Spanish tapas, exquisite solo choices, and charcuterie boards. Every detail is authentic and exceptional! We visited yesterday just before sunset, which was beautiful, and the ambiance of the place was wonderfully welcoming and relaxing. On the "Small Plates" side of the menu, you'll find options ranging from "Crispy Fingerlings" with garlic, rosemary & Parmigiano for $9 to a luxurious Caviar Service with crème fraiche and chives for $250. And there's everything in between, including an elevated grilled cheese, steak tartare, and bone marrow. Since there were just two of us, we opted for two salumi and two cheeses for a charcuterie board. It came with a delightful bowl of marinated olives featuring mingling flavors of garlic, spices, and citrus. The tiny pieces of orange added a perfectly balanced zest to each bite. For a salumi, I highly recommend the Mortadella al Pistacchio, a mild salami (resembling bologna in size) with pistachios inside, thinly sliced into a generous mound of delicate slices. One of our favorite cheeses was the 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, which paired wonderfully with the focaccia bread and our wine. Next time, I plan to order one or more soft cheeses, and I would be ecstatic if it came with their fantastic crostini! Let me tell you how to get that crostini and the "menu must-have" - the Polpette! To call these meatballs is a huge understatement. There are three of them, made with American Wagyu among other ingredients. They are incredibly tender and delicious, served in a fantastic tomato sugo/sauce, accompanied by three crostini that are the best I've had anywhere. I hope they offer them for purchase in their market area to complement charcuterie when entertaining at home. Speaking of which, the Zingara market section is where you'll find absolutely everything to create an exquisite charcuterie board. They also have wonderful dinner solutions like American Wagyu burgers, Gnocchi, and much more in the refrigerated section, serving as your local market for organic milk, a carton of eggs, a fresh grab-and-go yogurt with fruit and granola, sparkling water or special juice. On the shelves, you'll discover unique gourmet finds like coffee-infused syrup, raspberry jam to tomato jam, cinnamon snickerdoodle almond & cashew butter, and a vast array of incredible olive oils. This is the perfect place to find extraordinary and chic gifts for someone, or even yourself. They offer gorgeous items for the ultimate in entertaining. I thought of something cute to bring to a friend's home. Instead of the 'ole bottle of wine, give a "pairing" of the "Di Vino" hand soap with one of their beautiful kitchen towels, along with a special cheese. If I haven't already captured your interest with my description of the "meatballs" and how extraordinary they were, let me tell you that Zingara is owned by Hera Ambrosio of the Sodano family, who (fortunately for Scottsdale) moved from Sorrento, Italy in 1993 to bring us the famous Casa Mia Italian Restaurant and subsequently CM2 Pizza next door. Hera was there, ensuring everyone enjoyed their dinner, and her lovely daughter was there to seat us and assist in the market area. Our server was delightful, and the sommelier was educated and friendly. I plan to return next week for breakfast (available until 4:00 for us late risers, haha) to enjoy one of their specialty coffee drinks and savor a French Galette or the Quiche of the Day. I'm thrilled to make this my favorite spot.

Can't rave enough about Zingara! Try it ... you'll love it Don't miss the meatballs, just like my Italian Grandma use to cook

Cute little coffee/wine bar that opened up within walking distance so I was excited to try it. We got breakfast to go and got the chorizo burrito and breakfast sandwich, both of which were amazing. On Sundays they do brunch but their brunch menu doesn't start until 10, i wish it was earlier.

Best coffee and breakfast place by far. You literally can't go wrong with your food choice. It's a full Italian plaza and highly recommended.

This place just open recently and we decided to give it a try. My husband and I tried th matcha green tea and coffee and some pastries. Everything was delicious. They have a very nice set-up with tables and chairs. The patios overlook the mountains and it's very peaceful and serene. We also bought a few things like imported Italian pasta and raw milk. We haven't tried the restaurant at night but we'll be returning for a glass of wine soon. On the negative, it t is a little pricey. The staff is very nice... with the occasional barista being moody and getting a little uppity. Other than that, a fabulous little gem.

Clean space with brite fixtures.

Everything about the evening felt intentional, from the pacing of the meal to the service to the incredible sunset views overlooking the city. The space itself is stunning, with sleek glass walls, an open kitchen, and a retractable roof that makes the whole experience feel immersive without being over the top. You can tell Chef Christopher Gross has mastered the art of fine dining while still keeping it approachable. The staff struck that perfect balance too..polished and attentive without ever feeling stiff or overly formal. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant, but honestly, the atmosphere alone makes it worth experiencing at least once. Between the views, the wine program, and the attention to detail throughout the night, it feels like one of the few places in Phoenix that delivers a true dining experience instead of just a good meal. All the food was beautifully plated and flavor profiles with textures were through the roof! It was a beautiful blend of seasonal flavors! The wine selection was also a wow-factor and complemented the courses nicely. The views were incredible at sunset and I loved how the setting sun changed the landscape of the valley. The bathroom is a must go to. The service was also incredible - Bryan was a phenomenal complement to the restaurant and Chef Chris. I loved how this fine dining establishment was not stuffy or stiff. The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!

We arrived just around dusk and since the weather was beautiful, we got a table on the patio. There is such a contrast of two vintage homes, one being the Farish House in a sea of highrise buildings in downtown Phoenix! If you like a restaurant with a great wine selection, this is your place. I was lucky enough to have both of the owners (Kathryn and Greg) come by and greet us. This bottle (pictured below) of Pinot Noir was suggested to us, and we decided to have with our meals since our chosen dishes were beef and pork. One of the best wines I have had recently. We had the stuffed date appetizers which were devoured so quickly I did not have a chance to snap a pho My friend chose the beef short rib dish, which was well presented and extremely flavorful. After carefully reading each item, it was very hard to make a choice. I ended up with the pork chop meal, see cauliflower/potato mash, asparagus, and the awesome sauce along with the perfectly cooked pork chop made my taste buds very happy! We had service by Ella who is fabulous and also got to meet the owners daughter Alexandria. But there's more! After much deliberation and compromise, we both decided to share the bread pudding. I have been to New Orleans many times where they make fantastic bread pudding. The Farish House bread pudding can stand up to the best of the bread pudding in New Orleans and that is saying a lot. If you are a foodie and like local family owned businesses, this is your spot. Since I am only visiting, I will not be here for their Saturday Tea Service! Thank you so much for providing me with another wonderfu and delicious memory of my Phoenix visit. As Arnold Schwarzenegger says "I'll be back!" Bob, the Farish House cat ‍ was a delightful "host" as well.

Soup & Sausage Bistro is one of them, serving Ukrainian and Polish cuisine. Parking won't be a problem in the lot they share with several other businesses. Ambiance (3/5): Don't let the simple decor or the non-descript exterior fool you. While it's a casual restaurant, and a small one at that, I'm judging this restaurant mostly on the quality of its food as Eastern European food is generally hard to come by. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. There are five or so tables, so tiny as I mentioned. While casual, it is homey. Service (3/5): Pretty average service. They don't check on you. They're not overly friendly. Yet, once again, it's the food I'm primarily concerned about here. Drinks (4/5): Soft drinks and Eastern European beer for the most part. They have a nice selection of Ukrainian beers, which was a first for me. I enjoyed trying something new. Food (4/5): Now for the good stuff. As you would expect, there is a lot of soup and sausage on the menu. Including some famous one like borscht and Polish kielbasa. I've also tried their chicken meatball soup which was solid, but if it's your first time, go with the borscht. Don't let the purple color (from the beets) steer you away. Beyond soup and sausage, they have a lot of other classic dishes including pierogies, chicken Kiev, potato pancakes, and blintzes. And if you're looking for something sweet, their top seller is the honey cake. As good as it sounds. Everything I've had at Soup & Sausage Bistro has been above average to great. They have some nice combos that allow you to try a variety. The prices are affordable. Join their rewards program by entering your phone number at the kiosk and you'll get deals. All in all, great value for the money. And if you've never had Eastern European food before, it's a treat.
