Pistacchietto, lemon bar, and avocado toast with egg
Gretel Y.

What a beautiful space! Found myself on this part of Scottsdale one Sunday and decided to treat myself to brunch at Zingara. I don't normally dine by myself, but thought this was a great opportunity to. They had a handful of diners and weren't super busy. I was seated right away. The staff was super friendly and made great suggestions. I ordered the following: Pistacchietto $7 Avocado toast, $10 with egg +$3 Lemon bar The pistacchietto is a double espresso topped with Bronte pistachio cream with whipped cream. I expected it to be sweet, but was pleasantly surprised when I realized it wasn't. The avocado toast comes with Noble bread, avocado, sprouts, evoo, sea salt, pickled onions and feta emulsion. Oh my goodness, this was one of the best avo toasts I've ever had! It was a burst of flavors in my mouth. It was so good I almost ordered another one! Instead, I ordered the lemon bar to end my meal on a sweet note. It was a solid lemon bar. After my meal, I explored the market side which offers specialty foods, bespoke gifts, and more. Can't recommend Zingara enough. I'll definitely be back!

The food was good, but came out cold, leading me to believe that everything is prepared beforehand and then refrigerated or frozen until ready to serve. The interior of my breakfast burrito was definitely cold, but the exterior was quite warm. Microwave? The service was a little odd. Not very attentive or welcoming, and seemed almost put off when I was trying to order, because the two counter persons were engaged in personal conversation for several minutes while I waited. I also am not a local and didn't realize they had a limited menu that day, so my annoyance factor was high to these employees. I also found it less than ideal that they have you take a number to sit at the table, but then call you up to the counter to retrieve your own food. Then I saw that they were actually delivering food to tables with numbers that were near the counter. It was only me and one other person whose number they called out loud to come and pick up our food from the counter. The tables closest to the counter seemed to get the service, while the furthest away tables got a holler. It's a cute and fun-looking café with a nice vibe, very clean, but I probably won't be back because I like a little more welcoming atmosphere and for my food to be hot when served.

Went to the Sunday brunch, the food was great. The burrito was very tasty and the salsa it came with was delicious. The morning sandwich was also great too. The latte was just the perfect sweetness. Our server was very good and the food came fast! Also you can't go wrong with a homemade cinnamon roll with what tasted like cream cheese frosting. The ambiance was very inviting and the place had a good atmosphere. The items they sold also were cool, such as the Oasis raw milk and local eggs.

Everything about this place is amazing!! The cute coffee, the breakfast sandwiches which we have been back now twice, the shopping & wine bar. I would recommend it to everyone - walk or drive take your dog & you can sit outside!

Updated ambience! Beautiful, welcoming....perfect for celebrating our lower temps and fall! Coffee, pastries, breakfast fare still wonderful! Ambiente rinnovato! Bellissimo, accogliente... perfetto per festeggiare le nostre temperature più basse e l'autunno! Caffè, pasticcini, colazione ancora meravigliosi!

Zingara is a new, exciting, and unique coffee shop & market (including "gifts for the gourmet") that transforms into a wine bar and bistro at 4:00, offering a special menu of French & Italian sharables, Spanish tapas, exquisite solo choices, and charcuterie boards. Every detail is authentic and exceptional! We visited yesterday just before sunset, which was beautiful, and the ambiance of the place was wonderfully welcoming and relaxing. On the "Small Plates" side of the menu, you'll find options ranging from "Crispy Fingerlings" with garlic, rosemary & Parmigiano for $9 to a luxurious Caviar Service with crème fraiche and chives for $250. And there's everything in between, including an elevated grilled cheese, steak tartare, and bone marrow. Since there were just two of us, we opted for two salumi and two cheeses for a charcuterie board. It came with a delightful bowl of marinated olives featuring mingling flavors of garlic, spices, and citrus. The tiny pieces of orange added a perfectly balanced zest to each bite. For a salumi, I highly recommend the Mortadella al Pistacchio, a mild salami (resembling bologna in size) with pistachios inside, thinly sliced into a generous mound of delicate slices. One of our favorite cheeses was the 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, which paired wonderfully with the focaccia bread and our wine. Next time, I plan to order one or more soft cheeses, and I would be ecstatic if it came with their fantastic crostini! Let me tell you how to get that crostini and the "menu must-have" - the Polpette! To call these meatballs is a huge understatement. There are three of them, made with American Wagyu among other ingredients. They are incredibly tender and delicious, served in a fantastic tomato sugo/sauce, accompanied by three crostini that are the best I've had anywhere. I hope they offer them for purchase in their market area to complement charcuterie when entertaining at home. Speaking of which, the Zingara market section is where you'll find absolutely everything to create an exquisite charcuterie board. They also have wonderful dinner solutions like American Wagyu burgers, Gnocchi, and much more in the refrigerated section, serving as your local market for organic milk, a carton of eggs, a fresh grab-and-go yogurt with fruit and granola, sparkling water or special juice. On the shelves, you'll discover unique gourmet finds like coffee-infused syrup, raspberry jam to tomato jam, cinnamon snickerdoodle almond & cashew butter, and a vast array of incredible olive oils. This is the perfect place to find extraordinary and chic gifts for someone, or even yourself. They offer gorgeous items for the ultimate in entertaining. I thought of something cute to bring to a friend's home. Instead of the 'ole bottle of wine, give a "pairing" of the "Di Vino" hand soap with one of their beautiful kitchen towels, along with a special cheese. If I haven't already captured your interest with my description of the "meatballs" and how extraordinary they were, let me tell you that Zingara is owned by Hera Ambrosio of the Sodano family, who (fortunately for Scottsdale) moved from Sorrento, Italy in 1993 to bring us the famous Casa Mia Italian Restaurant and subsequently CM2 Pizza next door. Hera was there, ensuring everyone enjoyed their dinner, and her lovely daughter was there to seat us and assist in the market area. Our server was delightful, and the sommelier was educated and friendly. I plan to return next week for breakfast (available until 4:00 for us late risers, haha) to enjoy one of their specialty coffee drinks and savor a French Galette or the Quiche of the Day. I'm thrilled to make this my favorite spot.

Cute little coffee/wine bar that opened up within walking distance so I was excited to try it. We got breakfast to go and got the chorizo burrito and breakfast sandwich, both of which were amazing. On Sundays they do brunch but their brunch menu doesn't start until 10, i wish it was earlier.

Best coffee and breakfast place by far. You literally can't go wrong with your food choice. It's a full Italian plaza and highly recommended.

This place just open recently and we decided to give it a try. My husband and I tried th matcha green tea and coffee and some pastries. Everything was delicious. They have a very nice set-up with tables and chairs. The patios overlook the mountains and it's very peaceful and serene. We also bought a few things like imported Italian pasta and raw milk. We haven't tried the restaurant at night but we'll be returning for a glass of wine soon. On the negative, it t is a little pricey. The staff is very nice... with the occasional barista being moody and getting a little uppity. Other than that, a fabulous little gem.

Clean space with brite fixtures.

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

We made a reservation ahead of time and had a table ready for us on the outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and could instantly tell this place is legit. The ambiance isn't modern it's more home-style but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? The service was excellent and incredibly fast. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they helped us wrap everything up right on schedule. For drinks, I ordered a Cosmo and oh my one of the best cocktails I've had. The flavor was perfectly balanced and so smooth. For appetizers, we tried Emma's dumplings, beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and burrata. They started us off with house-made bread and homemade butter, I could eat that all day. So good! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing vegetarian options. The Brussels sprouts, beet salad, and Emma's dumplings were definite winners each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the penne vodka. I had high expectations, and while it was good, it was more on the average side compared to everything else. And finally the butter cake for dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. You could literally taste the butter in every bite, Unreal. Pricing is very reasonable, and overall the service and food were beyond exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff were so sweet to write us a handwritten note, this really started off our night on a good note so props to you guys! As a lemoncello connoisseur, their lemoncello in general was fantastic and the spritz was very refreshing and bright! It makes me very happy to know that they make everything from scratch, including some of their liquors. A little intimidated by the menu, I asked our server what he recommended. He was very knowledgeable and very descriptive when explaining the dishes! I got the short rib pasta, and my boyfriend got the shrimp linguine. This was seriously one of the best pastas that I've ever had! On both of our meals, the protein was just incredible. The shrimp was tender flavorful and I appreciated them keeping the shell on the shrimp it just tasted so fresh! For my short rib, it was just truly incredible. The sauce was rich and flavorful without being too heavy or overwhelming. The short rib just melted. Honestly, in this day and age it's very hard to find places like this in my experience where the service is top-tier. The ambience is welcoming, warm and you can taste the actual care and love that goes into everything that they put out. I look forward to bringing my friends and family to try this gem. In the meantime, I will be forever dreaming about my short rib pasta and lemon cello. Thank you DiMaggio's for making this a wonderful experience!

My Italian friend recommended Uncle Sal's as an authentic Italian spot -- so I had to go on that…read morerecommendation and I definitely thought the food was good. I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.
