We sat on the patio and Robin was our server. She was very friendly and checked with us many times throughout our dining. It was wine night where most bottles were $35. They gave us a little tasting of the two whites we were considering. We got our calamari quickly. It was delicious and crispy, with two sauces. We shared a unique wedge salad made of romaine and a hefty drizzle of balsamic, plus the normal blue cheese. We both got chicken dishes that came with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. That was a bonus for me, so I didn't have to order pasta. The bread came out after the entrees. We splurged and ordered one piece of delicious cheesecake to share after our meal. They gave us complimentary limoncellos while we waited. It was a positive dining experience.

I honestly don't understand all the 5-star Yelp reviews for this restaurant. After reading so many…read moreglowing reviews, we went in with high expectations and were thoroughly disappointed. The first red flag was walking into the restaurant on a Friday night and seeing only two other tables occupied and a couple sitting at the bar. The restaurant felt strangely quiet and lacked any real energy or atmosphere. That should have been our cue to turn around. We came for the first night of Restaurant Week, with a 6:30 PM reservation, and were already told that one of the prix fixe menu items, the salt fish fritters was unavailable. On the very first night. I ended up ordering the watermelon skewers instead, which were sad-looking and underwhelming. My sea bass was decent, but the pilaf was way too salty. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops, which he described as anemic, served on a bed of mushy, tasteless rice with overly salty broccolini. For dessert, we ordered the regular-menu Burnt Basque cheesecake, and it was quite possibly the most tasteless cheesecake I've ever had. It didn't even taste like cheesecake, it was more like an egg custard. Ironically, the special bread pudding they whipped up for Restaurant Week was much tastier than the Burnt Basque cheesecake, although the outer edges of the bread pudding were burnt and hard. And then there was the service. Terrible. This was a three-course dinner that took two full hours to complete. The server never once came over to ask how the dishes tasted, and we had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled. By the end, we couldn't wait to get out of there. Overall, the food was subpar, the service was painfully slow, and the entire experience was frustrating from beginning to end. Whatever everyone else is raving about, we certainly didn't experience it. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We ordered a delicious salad, the one with the goat cheese and slivers of dried apricot. The filet was perfectly cooked after a redo. We had a shrimp cocktail with it. We had the grilled asparagus. The star of the show were the French fries which were fried in duck fat. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Dinner was accompanied by a Bloody Mary that while spicy, the tomato juice was not thick as it usually is, so with the ice it watered down quickly. Next time no ice. I made the mistake of ordering a chicken dish at a steakhouse. That was not a smart move. The chicken was tasteless as if no spices or marinade had been used. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were delicious so I had a vegetarian meal. A complimentary birthday cake --chocolate and whipped cream was a light finish to our meal. We had an awesome server Sherianne-- attractive, spunky, friendly, attentive. She's a keeper! Thank you Sherrianne!

Immediately, we were asked what we'd like to drink as bread, butter, and a chip/ dip bite special arrived from the kitchen within 5 minutes. The bar staff was absolutely hopping, but they were very on top of all of their tickets, remained calm, fun, smiling & upbeat as they dealt with people in and out, asking for drinks and doing turns on the stool seating. We ordered everything off of the happy hour menu - Caesar salad, Cobb salad, meatballs, shrimp, and coconut shrimp! The hubs said the best were the salads, I agree they were delicious. But I also loved the coconut shrimp, which looked too well done but they were slightly crunchy and my favorite. We will definitely be back. Oh, and there was live music, a piano player and singer. 10 out of 10 evening.

The atmosphere inside is relaxed yet sophisticated with an overwhelming feeling of being in on a secret no one else knows, so cool! We happened to come early enough in the day to where getting a table wasn't an issue but I would say make a reservation when coming as it is limited seating and absolutely worth it. I came with my husband and my bestie for some birthday cocktails and bites. We were actually lucky enough to have our Uber driver point out the door on the way in, I don't want to give away any secrets but keep an eye out for a door marked with the goose silhouette. It was very back-door, hush hush The cocktails were fantastic! The Clover Club was by far my favorite but everything we got was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting some bites while you're there too, we got the charcuterie board and it was plenty for the three of us. Nick took great care of us, making excellent recommendations throughout our visit but the star of the show was Miss Bella! She was so sweet right off the bat, welcoming us in and wishing me a very happy birthday! She very clearly takes a lot of personal pride in her customer care and it shows! Plus, her nails?? Gorgeous!
