Just had the best dinner at Saddle Bronc with friends! The service was outstanding, and our meals were fresh and delicious. Saddle Bronc has a fantastic menu with so many delicious items to choose from, along with an impressive selection of beers on tap. You can really taste the quality and the family recipes behind each dish. I had the broasted chicken, and it came out piping hot, perfectly crispy, and incredibly juicy. I also can't say enough about the ranch beans and homemade coleslaw--they were absolutely delicious! My friends ordered the daily prime rib special and the chicken sandwich, and they loved their meals too. Overall, Saddle Bronc is everything you hope for in a small-town, family-owned restaurant. Different experience, just not for me. It may be good for anyone reading this. It's worth a shot for you to make your own assessment. It is on the classy side and no where near a dive bar. Staff is helpful and food options are plenty and delish. They are usually worth the cost. Be prepared to pay more than you might expect. Happy hours may exist here, just have not found that to be common or much of a deal. If money doesn't matter, the bar is a cool and comforting place to meet locals and visitors. You may just need to move to another seat to find people that like words like I do. That is true of most places though. Good place to stare at your phone instead of doing it at home. Just costs a lot more than the latter. Which J do instead of going here. Honest here, have no problems. But if you want an enjoyable experience there are other options in Fountain Hills worth a try. read more

We decided to stop in here for a Sunday lunch! What a Welcome Wagon it was!! Elliot, our bartender/server was Super friendly from the time we walked in until we left! He is definitely an asset to the Saddle Bronc Grill! GREAT service all the way around! I ordered the John Wayne half pound burger with fries and my husband had the Broasted Chicken sandwich and fries. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection! We love the Western ambiance as well. Delicious!! The Salmon & Asparagus salad is very fresh and the asparagus itself was outstanding. However, I wish there was more asparagus and the salmon didn't have a fishy taste but there was definitely a very small, hardy noticeable, underlying hint of something fishy-related. I also wish the salmon was a bit more smooth and buttery in texture. Our waitress, Traci was very kind and attentive. The staff here are always thinking about the customers. There was a live singer performing inside and it's was quite busy so the atmosphere was pretty loud. I like how pretty much everything is house-made. I used to like the food here, but not so much, anymore. With recent takeout meals, I ordered a burger & fries, and a crispy chicken sandwich, with a side of broccoli. I asked for a well done burger, it was pink in the middle, fries were soggy, they forgot my side of broccoli. All this for $54 (I regretted adding a tip to the order after this). Sorry to say, it's overpriced, average food. The food is probably from a GFS, or Sysco food service, that comes in frozen, and is heated up. I love the food, ambience and people at the Saddle Bronc. Whenever we visit AZ we come here. The food is excellent and they have some healthy entrees and sides. Most entrees include 1-2 sides and they have more than one or two veggies. They have homemade soups that are phenomenal. Not the first thing you think of ordering when it's hot out, but more than worth going out of your way for. My favorite is the Brisket platter, but they also have good broasted chicken where you can specify white or dark meat. Fill bar service with a nice selection of mixed drinks , wines & beers. Love the atmosphere and the staff is always nice . Had the broasted chicken the Ruben and the ny strip steak . The steak was done well and tasty . The Ruben was done just right , the meat was soft af the bread thick and lightly toasted which was better than most because the sandwich did not fall apart as I was eating it. My wife and I came for early Sunday dinner. The place was very busy due to playoff NFL games being played on TV. Our server Linda took our drink orders, and my wife tried a 16oz Wow beer, and I got a 16oz Coors Lite beer. We decided on the Sunday French Dip sandwich for each of us. My bride loves the baked beans so she got them for her side, and I got a dinner salad for my side. My salad came quickly but I had to ask for crackers to go with it. Yet another great place I have neglected to review. Life has been busy! We first came here on Super Bowl Sunday this year when we were house hunting. I don't recall what we had then but it was good. We went yesterday for lunch and sat at the bar. We were served by the very sauve and highly entertaining bartender, Javier. Our food was delicious! I had the grilled salmon, expertly grilled, still perfectly moist with a char finish: YUM! The 2 sides I chose were the coleslaw and side salad with blue cheese dressing. Wow!!! Highly recommend this fun restaurant! I enjoyed the yummy fish tacos and my fiance loved his fish and chips! When we were there we were greeted by a smile from Denise. She immediately took our order. She said their 3rd waitress went home sick she said and she was happy to take our order! She worked with us to create a personalized menu and let us take over a corner of their very busy restaurant. I decided to try the "in-house made" Reuben with salad as the side, and iced tea. Price for the sandwich is $14.99, $18.99, or $23.99, depending on where you look. The Reuben is my favorite sandwich, but this one was nowhere near the top of the list: it was tasteless and the bread was burnt. A Reuben should be a variety of tastes, with the dressing, meat, sauerkraut and cheese. Mine, although claiming to be made "in-house", was bland throughout and at the $23 price point was a disappointment. I've had much better Reubens in FH for much less money. What a cool place walking in. That is where the good ends. I am not quite sure how a restaurant can successfully operate with servers, bartenders and food expos that have zero common courtesy toward their customers. It took 15 mins to take our order. Another 15 mins to get the chips and dip I ordered. When it finally did come the expo spilled the dip all over my phone the table and in my drink. Than didn't even acknowledge it, apologize or clean it up. He just turned around and walked off. When he came back to drop off my salad I said " hey can we get some napkins and a new drink since you poured it all over " he laughed and said ya ok and left. ( did not return. Did not replace my drink. ) I'm not sure how that is acceptable in anyway. The food was very boring for the price I was expecting to come away satisfied and I was not. Know one does it better in the valley than the Saddle Bronc. I also love the pork tenderloin sandwich, the John Wayne burger with bacon, chicken fried steak and the prime rib dinner. This has been our go to place since moving to Fountain Hills. We even went there to celebrate signing the papers on our new house. We go with just the two of us and we've gone with a group of friends several times and we've never been disappointed. We've tried a lot of different things on the menu and I don't know if I can really pinpoint my favorite. Of course, Walleye Wednesday! Just had the blue burger last week and it was fantastic! I also loved the salmon and asparagus salad. It was out of this world and cooked beautifully. Chicken tenders, brisket, quesadilla, and the nachos. Oh and love the broasted chicken. They have incredible side dishes with mashed potatoes and asparagus being my very favorites. Great coleslaw and french fries too. What's not to love?
