    Yummy pancakes

I am going on a mission to try new spots for breakfast and hit up Ziggie's today. The service was good and the food was tasty and ready quickly. I enjoyed chicken and waffles, coffee and I really liked the fluffy waffle and delicious juicy chicken tenders. I was able to sample their pancakes and they are homemade and really flavorful. They make a delicious Denver omelet and hashed brown potatoes as well, sampled.

After attending a funeral, our group of about 20 family members needed a quiet place to gather and unwind, so we headed to Ziggie's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had reserved their spacious private room in the back, which easily accommodates 30-40 people--plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably without feeling crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setup was ideal for our needs, offering a bit of seclusion during an emotional day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff couldn't have been friendlier; they handled our large party with genuine warmth and efficiency, making sure drinks were refilled promptly and orders came out hot. I ordered the Pork Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy, accompanied by a side salad. The pork was spot-on--tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly without being dry. The mashed potatoes were smooth and hearty, complemented by rich gravy that elevated the whole dish. We kicked things off with the Texas Fry appetizer, piled high with crispy bacon and melted cheese; it was indulgent and satisfying, just the kind of comfort food we craved. All in all, Ziggie's delivered solid Midwestern fare in a welcoming spot with excellent prices. If you're hosting a group event, even under tough circumstances, this place hits the mark. Would definitely return.

Plates 1 of the best Walleye you will ever eat outside of Minnesota or Canada. Awesome. Get here soon

STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING! Jump, walk, swim or fly here immediately. Leaping lizards - I have found the Mother of All Friday Night AYCE Fish Fries!! This is not your usual generic, wore out Southern Catfish Fry (a fine treat but...). It's Friday and Ziggie's is offering AYCE Walleye. Walleye? Are you kidding me? Typically I have to to Minnesota or Canada (called Pickerel up North, eh?) to just hear a story about this marvelous treat. Walleye, IMHO, has a firm, white flesh that is as sweet as maple syrup (ok, exaggerating) but it makes Cafish/Tilapia taste like used motor Ziggie's presents their Walleye as 2 enormous filets, lightly breaded in a delicate batter resembling Panko coating. The chefs in the back cook it just right - beautiful to look at amd even better to taste. Each bite melts in your mouth with a subtle hint of brown sugar and butter but that's just how Walleye taste to me. These people do it RIGHT! I wanted to write this earlier but I could not stop wolfing these slabs of friend goodness long enough to write. I have demolished a small school of fish now, so wanted to share. They close at 2030 hours (8:30 PM). I have no idea if this is a daily/seasonal thing. Apologies. If their sign shows AYCE Walleye, turn in immediately and strap on a feed bag. This meal is not for the faint of heart. If you are novice fish fry beginner or an accomplished gourmand - you can thank me later by visiting. P.S. they have proper malt vinegar, homemade coleslaw that will make ur heart skip a beat, and homemade tartar sauce. Excuse me, going to try the Pecan Pie. Stop in for yourself. I'm coming back for breakfast - that is epic as well.

Not great, but good. Reminds me of a diner style of service and food. Wait staff seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else.

Made it back to the place and another good visit…read more - see that bacon jam sauce on the burger?....that is darn good. I'm not one to mess with my traditional burger taste. But that bacon jams sauce really works! - The corn dip we had for an appetizer - that dish was really good. Did I say really? Yeah, really good. - Chicken sandwich - If I was you...I'd skip that one. Nothing special. Dry. Just not a good menu item. To the owners if they read this: The place is too nice to have counter service to order. Both times I've been here, it is always backed up and takes a good while to order. We were the 3rd group back last night. Parties of 2, each group was. And it takes too long. To end on a positive note: the place is neat and always great to have people revitalize an old building in our town.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to share the story behind the owners' vision, which made the experience feel much more personal. Their menu recommendations were thoughtful, highlighting both customer favorites and their own go-to picks, which is always something I appreciate. Everything we ordered was excellent. The coffee had exceptional depth of flavor without being overpowering, and the quiche was perfectly prepared with a delicate, buttery texture that paired beautifully with the cranberry-orange muffin. It's clear that attention to quality and consistency is a priority here. Beyond the food, the atmosphere deserves recognition. The space is beautifully designed, with tasteful décor that feels inviting without trying too hard. Whether you're meeting friends for lunch, enjoying a coffee date, catching up over brunch, treating yourself to a quiet afternoon, or looking for a comfortable place to study or work, this café offers the kind of environment that suits just about any occasion. We'll definitely be back--next time with friends to explore more of the lunch menu. Springfield is fortunate to have such a thoughtful and well-executed addition to its local dining scene.

Unfortunately, I left disappointed because the food quality just wasn't what I remembered. I had been telling my wife how great the food used to be--almost like gourmet bar food--and was really looking forward to sharing that experience with her. The smash burger no longer tasted like the duck-fat burger I remembered, and the fries definitely didn't seem to be house-made anymore. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday. Overall, I still enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the great service, but I hope the kitchen can get back to the food quality that made Lindberg's one of my favorite spots in the past.
