I didn't enjoy the music so I wasn't able to shop long. I asked for 80s rock but I was blown off. I think the music is more for the employees than the customers. If you like this type of music come on over. In addition, the cashiers were complaining about customers. Saddam A GoGo song by GWAR on the album This Toilet Earth is a mix of heavy metal, crossover thrash, comedy rock, and alternative metal. GWAR is an American satirical thrash metal and punk band that formed in 1984. They are known for their unusual monster costumes and vulgar lyrics.

Wow! This place is amazing & very dangerous for my finances!! The vinyl selection alone is really great, and they have so much other cool stuff, books comics games tons of fandom related goodies. Great customer service for my experience, I can't say anything about selling goods here but usually its safe to assume that once you start amassing lots of books and media it's better to resell on ebay or just hold on to your stuff and realize money spent is gone for good. Play those records and enjoy!

A lot of goodies!

In fact, I can usually find something to check off my ever-growing wish list--which is why I keep coming back. The catch? You're going to have to put in some serious time digging through the racks. The bagged-and-boarded comics are loosely organized by DC, Marvel, and Indie, with the individual titles generally alphabetized. They also have a section of bundles, which is always worth a look if you're hunting for complete runs. Unfortunately, nothing in the bundles made it onto my wish list this time. After spending a considerable amount of time working my way through the DC and Marvel sections, I wandered over to the magazine racks and discovered even more comics--some bagged and boarded, along with plenty of raw comics that were definitely in the low-grade, $1-bin neighborhood. The downside? This section appeared to have absolutely no organizational system. Consider it the comic-book equivalent of an archaeological dig. Bring patience. And possibly snacks. I also checked out the video game section to see if there were any must-haves hiding behind the glass. I found a few games in the locked cabinet, but some were priced about the same as buying a brand-new copy. I'm not really sure how that makes sense for a resale store. If I'm buying used, I'm expecting at least a little bit of a "used game" discount. Overall, Bookmans is worth checking out if you're hunting for comics, especially if you enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Don't expect everything to be perfectly organized or easy to find. Be prepared to spend some quality time flipping through racks, digging through the less-organized sections, and hoping the comic-book gods smile upon you. I didn't walk out with a massive haul, but I did find something worth adding to the collection--which makes the hunt worthwhile. Four stars for the potential, the selection, and those occasional hidden gems. ‍

I just left the Bookman's Store on Country Club and Southern, and I was abused and disrespected by…read moreone of their staff members. I was shopping, and waiting for my trade offer for some items I brought in. I asked to look at a Collector Comic Book that was locked in a case. I asked the staff member if I could take the book out and look a it because I wanted to make sure nothing was cut out of the comic. He immediately became defensive, and his attitude became hostile. I said "if there is anything cut out it's not worth $25 and I want to check. If I damage it while looking at it, I'll pay for it." His response wasn't helpful or understanding, it was pushy and abusive. "You should just get these while you see them. No one has these, and I've never seen one in our store since I've been here". I said "I have been collecting comics all of my life, and if there is anything cut out, it's not worth $10 to me". Again, instead of being friendly and asking anything helpful or asking questions, he was pushy and forceful, and became even more irritated when I pointed out the water damage on the back of the comic and told him I didn't want it. He was very unfriendly from the start. A toxic person, to be as kind as I can be. I received notice that my trade offer was ready, but I cancelled my trade offer, and walked out of the store with the items I had brought to trade. I WILL NEVER RETURN AS LONG AS THAT PERSON WORKS THERE. When I advised the staff of what happened, they seemed disinterested in doing anything. I asked them "how can you allow a person who treats customer this was to work here, and why would you want to work here if the business allows this?" They all looked at me with blank stares on their faces. A manager did talk to me, but it was the same attitude as the rude employee. He didn't introduce himself my name. He didn't try to find out the name of the employee. His attitude, like the rude staff member, was an attitude of not wanting to be there, an attitude of feeling irritated that they have to actually talk to a customer and assist them, an attitude of superiority and entitlement, an attitude that their customers do not matter to them and that they don't respect people in general. I advised their manager on duty that I work as a customer service consultant, and the employees treatment was unacceptable. He did offer complimentary credit, but did not indicate how much. I declined and told them honestly "I don't care if you pay me a Billion dollars in cash, I don't want it if that person works here. What he did was unacceptable and he should be fired". I am sure they won't do anything, and I want everyone to know that Bookman's is a TOXIC company who does not appreciate their customers, and they will screw you over and abuse you if you go there.

That simple gesture meant a lot and made his day even more special. The store itself was very clean, well-organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of tables and seating areas where people could sit down, play games, trade, or open their new cards. Their selection is incredible. Whether you're looking for trading card game products, comic books, accessories, collectibles, or just about any other hobby-related item, they have an impressive variety to choose from. It's the kind of store where you can spend a long time browsing because there's always something new to discover. Another thing I appreciated was their pricing. I compared prices with another card shop nearby, and Amazing Discoveries was noticeably more competitive. From booster packs and sealed boxes to even many of the single cards, their prices were generally better, making it an easy choice for where I'd rather spend my money. Overall, Amazing Discoveries delivered everything you'd want in a local game store: a huge selection, fair prices, a clean and welcoming environment, and staff who genuinely care about their customers. The birthday surprise for my son was the icing on the cake, and it's a memory he won't forget. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing Discoveries - Tucson Location…read more I've been a long-time customer of Amazing Discoveries in Tucson and have supported this store for years. What happened during my most recent visit was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to share it publicly. I went in to pick up an online order and the interaction escalated into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Multiple employees were rude and dismissive, including Eric Molt (store manager), Colton Stevens, and Josh Olson. The store manager, Eric Molt, refused to provide his name, snatched paper out of my hands twice, and escalated the situation instead of resolving it. Outside the store, he confronted me, got in my face, and used racist and derogatory language toward me. No customer should ever be subjected to that kind of behavior. I reported the incident to the district manager, Jonas Sosa, who acknowledged the seriousness of what happened and said an investigation would be conducted. After that, I sent several follow-up emails asking for an update. I never received any response from anyone at Amazing Discoveries -- not management, not ownership, not the district office. I was told that the owners, Dustin Ochoa and Florence Dei Ochoa, were made aware of the situation. In addition, all of their stores were notified about what happened. Despite that, nothing was done and no one ever contacted me. After giving more than enough time for a response, I can only conclude that ownership is choosing not to address this incident. Based on their silence and inaction, it appears they condone racist, aggressive, and unprofessional behavior from their management and staff. I will not be returning to this store, and I believe the community deserves to know what happened.
