OVER PRICED AND JERKS! STAY AWAY FROM HERE! This was our second time in there. BUT WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. The owner is an ass, no hello, and he wanted to know who left this "mess " here. Then reminded us that they only want cash and they have no room for discounts. My husband and I had a large pile of comics to buy. We wanted to know what the title and number of a foil comic was, and we got reprimanded for opening up the plastic to look. We are 50 not 15, we have experience and we were handling it gently and appropriately. Owner has a bad attitude. His rudeness in saying we can't open anything was astonishing. We left about $500 sales and will not be back ever. The lady or his wife was the jerk we dealt with last time. She sold us a "lady death" comic and because we couldn't look at it we came home to find it was a different comic all together. His attitude towards my husband caught me off guard, I couldn't believe how rude a seller could be. The comic had lady death advertisement on back and it was facing backwards. We lost $$ and got no apologies for the mishap. As for the lady who left a comment about her son wanting a job- what a jerk response to the nice lady! I would buy 10 comics from a sweet child/teen helping me vs the asshole who replied to her. His reviews say he doesn't care about yelp, yet he responds to each one. Wonder what response I'll get. Doesn't matter as long as real people are honestly informed of the truth about this store. Karma is a real thing and your "multi million" crap store won't be worth much if this behavior stays the same. EVERYONE PLEASE STOP SHOPPING HERE (let's show this store how much we don't need businesses like this) AND SUPPORT OTHER MOM AND POP SHOPS. There are better stores to go too! read more

I just moved too Tempe on university drive & thought I'd give the comic shops a look in the area . Im pretty sure I spoke to the wife of Brandon and she didn't have a problem helping me out . Brandon and Jennifer have a well stacked comic book store. They stock all the weekly titles (loose), along with the limited editions and speciality covers (w/boards). The store is very large, very well laid out, bright and clean. No over crowding, or old book store smells. If you are looking for some older, hard to find titles I would give them a try. read more

This is an awesome comic book shop out here in Tempe. I discovered it today when I wanted to sell some comics. Brandon took a look at what I had and they did not need it but he was very polite in how he did not want them. Meaning after going through what I had they just weren't what They needed and now I get to keep them still! He's been around for 2 years now and is very welcoming. Let me tell my stories and joke around with another customer who was from NY too. We talked about sports and life and it was great! Then there is Tyler. He showed me some brand new comics and some of his favorites. I needed a little extra motivation from these guys before I am going on my trip to Vegas! While I've been through a lot; Brandon and Tyler and my guy from NY taught me some new things about life! Ok so now for Covid update: please wear your mask in stores. Please show some respect in the store. These guys are working their ass off and you need to understand that. Be kind to them. I found some dope comics I didn't know existed because Brandon and Tyler showed me! They put some awesome comic movies on the TV when I had to cut my cable because of Covid myself and how expensive my bills have been. Almost comical and very disturbing customer service, and owner tried to go "gangsta" on me. I was looking for a new comic shop to buy some keys after All about Books and Comics unfortunately closed down. I messaged who I assume is the owner of the shop for a simple stock, condition, and price check on two books and well this is how he replies. See for yourself. He beats around the bush, says he doesn't have time to answer my question, tells me to come see for myself during a pandemic, and then proceeds to threaten me and tell me how rich he is.. I was visiting local comic stores in the area during my free time. (I'm from NY state.) And the customer service was very poor and, although they had some nice selections of books, they only accept cash for books over $200. Do they really expect customers to carry thousands of dollars of cash on them to buy their books? But even despite the policy, the manners displayed and rudeness shown was very off-putting. I recommend going to Fantastic World Comics! They are much more polite and willing to work with their customers. read more

Stopped by today since I was in the area and I'm so happy I did. When I first walked through the door I was immediately greeted by Brandon and informed of a sale that was going on through the weekend that was 50% off a large portion of the store including wall books/key issues. This is huge because they legitimately had some great key issues for sale. If I had found any I really wanted, I'd have been really excited. It's a good space, the prices are decent and they have some room for growth too. Please note that this is a comic shop. No gaming, no collectibles like Pops and such either. If I lived here, I'd definitely stop in from time to time to check on new stock. read more

Been here twice first time was great the woman working was very helpful and guided me in the right direction. The second time I visited was very different. Awkward and uncomfortable, the owner I'm assuming didn't really welcome me in and didn't even consider looking at some books I brought in for trade. Best comic store in the Valley. Awesome setup and great feel, complete with a 1000+ game arcade system. Even has sofas to relax and watch TV or Netflix which is pretty cool. Most importantly though, the store has an amazing selection of comics (organized alphabetically and numerically thanks to Jen!). Inventory is constantly updated once or twice a week, and it's the only store I've seen with New Release Variant covers I can't find anywhere else! Really sweet CGC (come here if you need anything graded!) and paperback collections make this a true "one-stop shop" for comic nerds. Brandon does an outstanding job, as he is always looking to improve/innovate. He keeps it fun with weekly and monthly raffles and mystery boxes too! Can't say enough about this place. Where to start! I have been a big collector of comics of different series and one day months ago I saw this comic shop and for awhile was debating on checking it out and I am glad I did. This shop has everything a comic collector could want! I was one of the first customers for the shop and talk to the owner everytime I'm there. This is definitely the best comic shop in the valley. Their set up is great, and always improving. They have all the things you could need, but spaces to just hang out, snacks/drinks, and even an arcade game/tv. Brandon and his wife are so friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about his customers. He in constantly doing awesome giveaways and raffles which make his profits less, but he doesn't care. Even for me, who is a noob when it comes to comics, he takes the time to teach me and get me interested. I would recommend his shop to any age group! For a brand new shop it's very clean and very well organized. For someone so young, Brandon knows his stuff! His prices are very competitive & had a wide variety of selection. He offers a variety of ways to win comics and even CGC ones. I took a chance on a mystery box and drew the "Loser" box, which wasn't too surprising, which meant the comics inside were not worth the cost of the mystery box...HOWEVER... the cool idea in such a box (which he assured me everyone wanted) is he provided 4 raffle tickets instead of 1. What a surprise to receive a phone call from his helper Chris and also another from Brandon...saying I had won 2 prizes...both CGC graded and worth approximately $750!!! Even though I declined to have my pix taken or video taped as a winner...Not once was there any pressure to change my mind! Worst part (or maybe a good thing for me) is the shop is 90 minutes away from me..ha ha HIGHLY recommend BRANDON'S COMICS read more

This is the best place to buy back issues in Tempe, because they have really good deals in their back room for dollar/2 dollar books. This place is awesome ! Came into the store looking for Walking Dead comic books for my niece. The atmosphere is laid back the Owner was a super nice guy . Brandon not only had the WDs I was looking for which were half off by the way. I took my time looking at all the different comics and realized how many terrific movies have been made from these comic books and I thought what a great hobby for a kid to start collecting yet enjoying reading. While I was there I noticed a Father and his young son come in the young boy handed Brandon a piece of paper and Brandon yelled we got an A on a test go get your free comic Tim. He gives out free comics to any kid that gets an A on a test. He has raffles and mystery boxes what a great store I walked into .
