This is a diamond in the rough. I found what I was looking for (a Skinny Puppy record) and sp much more! The band shirts are wild, the music in the walls (premium stuff) is priced great, and the cashier guy is super cool. And I mean, look at the help! Love this place.

I got this pretty vintage dress here. Super cool place! Don't miss out!

I have told all my friends who are rock and roll aficionados about this place since I went several weeks ago. The vinyl selection is extensive and comprehensive. I bought some cool vintage clothes and books as well. Great rock and roll vintage memorabilia. The guy who runs this is a hard working soul. Let's support the mom and pop places while we can. This place is a little bit of Los Angeles in Tempe. My son and I loved it. Great for exploring. Go now!

Stopped in during a road trip. Found some rare vinyl at a good price. Will definitely come back if I'm in town again.

The store is…read morealways well stocked with both new releases and back issues, and it's the only shop I've found that consistently carries a large inventory of Spawn back issues, including several key issues. I've checked out other comic shops around the Valley, but none of them seem to have the Spawn selection that Collector's Choice does. They also have a great selection of graded comics and variants, which makes browsing even more fun. One thing to know before visiting: new releases and back issues are handled as separate transactions. So if you bring a mixed stack to the counter, expect to do one transaction for the new books and another for the back issues. I've never asked why they do it that way, but after shopping here several times, it's just something I expect. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. During my last visit, the owner was interacting with customers by offering 25% off any item in the store to anyone who could correctly answer his random comic trivia question. Nobody got it right while I was there, but it was a really fun way to engage with customers. For the curious, the question was: "What was the final issue of Conan the Barbarian published by Marvel?" Answer: #275. If you're a comic collector--especially a Spawn fan--this place is absolutely worth checking out.

They told me that if it is up then they have allocation. Fast forward to June when the set releases. I had to find out via reddit that Strange Adventures said that they do not have enough allocation to fill orders and instead would do a *raffle* vs queue order. They said they would post who won the raffle the following day. This never happened. They also said if you want to get a refund on your preorder, you need to *e-mail* them (vs them initiating the refund). There's also other reports of customers getting charged post-announcement as well. I've sent an inquiry e-mail days ago with no response. Now before we get our panties in a twist, hear me out. 1 star review for unfriendliness of the workers. We walked around the whole store and looked at what was around and nobody acknowledged us. There was a iron man bobble head that was marked with a bright orange sticker on it saying "$6.99". Go to the register and was told the total was $16 and some change. My boyfriend pointed out the sticker on the front and the male worker tried to take it off right in front of us. A lot of the funko pops in this place have brightly orange priced stickers on the front. A lot of them are marked down. Now most places of business would honor something how its advertised. Guess what? Not here. They don't really care about honoring their own wrong pricing or apologizing. They are more focused on conversating with each other (workers). Don't go here. Such a let down.

ONLY FANS... Listen,…read morebub! ONLY real FAN boys and girls know about this O.G. comic book store that's been in the valley over the decades. The best way I can pay homage to a business that was a memorable part of my childhood is to say this is one of the BEST comic book stores EVER. The store has had multiple locations around town back to the first location circa early 1990's. Atomic Comics still serves as a haven where kids of all ages can immerse themselves in fantasy and adventure and stimulate their imagination. The shop has all things comic and pop culture from figures and toys, books and graphic novels, cards and games, clothes and accessories, even a section for manga and anime. The vibe of this place is a clean, fun, safe space where kids can escape and decompress. I would even say it is a therapeutic experience and positive for mental health zoning out to comics. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and personable and willing to strike up a conversation with patrons. If you need another reason to gather here, the store hosts a variety of events and tournaments which you can explore on their website for schedules and info. If there was a nuclear fallout, Atomic Comics would be one place where I wouldn't feel bad about hunkering down. Deciding to come here is not splitting atoms. Do yourself and kids a favor, create memories and make this a tradition with your children like my dad did, and stop in to get your kid to get a comic book (or 2) every week. You'll love it, 3000! Nuff Said!

There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. At one point I genuinely forgot: What I came for, which direction I entered... who I am as a person. Every time I thought I found the "main path," I'd turn a corner and BAM! secret pocket room. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. Now, to be fair, if you are someone who enjoys treasure hunting, rummaging, discovering trinkets you didn't know you needed, and time traveling, this is your Disneyland. There is stuff. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. Three stars because it's impressive, chaotic, and an adventure... but if you go in with a mission, be prepared to lose it. Possibly along with your sense of direction. Would return. With a map.
