This place had some pretty cool stuff. The store is well organized, and the staff was very friendly, as well.

i always find something beautiful and unusual! If the item is too big or too long, I take it to Veronica, a pro seamstress, across the courtyard to have it fixed. read more

Cute vintage store in the hive. I have scored everything from a 70s babydoll black satin dress to a vintage Lillie Ruben faux leopard swing coat to vintage dress tops, and shirts. Great store! The owner is a super cool lady who has such an amazing eye read more

Smaller store than I expected, but for a secondhand store, I've had the best experience here! I found three items that I loved and purchased all for $51- fair prices! Service was good, owner was sweet & talkative. ** this place is not located in the front of the complex, it's down the hall as seen in the photo!! read more

I have been there twice , the first time even though it stated online they were open and the door was open when I walked in the lady said we are closed. Not impressed with this place and quite frankly there is nothing thrifty about it. It sure why it comes up on the top 10 thrift stores read more

Very friendly and fast service. A bit small but owner likes to share business with neighbor businesses.

Driving on 16th street and what do I see?...a store with obvious charm and vintage fun , I whisper " that place is cool " , my husband being the smart guy he is says "Do you want to go ? "YES" I yell . It was a wonderful moment . And he immediately obliges with a u turn executed with finesse. We arrive back at the Bees Knees and I fall in love with the murals running on the sides of the building , a giant bee , a whimisical skull , a graphic mural ... Dee-- Lightful . Confession: I love vintage clothes , big bold patterns , amazing textures , great details ...it calls to me .... Stores that sell vintage clothes make me happy. Stores that sell cool old clothes that don't smell like attics are even more wonderful. The Bees Knees has impressive racks of womens and mens clothes with funky hipness that screams UNIQUENESS. Prices are very reasonable , wide range of sizes and the qualtiy is good. Not everything is old , but the colors and lines are interesting and hip. They also sell local artist jewelry , purses knick knacks and such. I found a beaded full skirt that has amazing textures as well as a bold print floral that is perfect for work. hubby found a Marvin the Martian shirt that was amazing but the wrong size. The Site also host a art space called the Hive. You never know what might be buzzing back there. ( I aplogize for the obvious.) read more

I love love love this shop. Such a beautiful, quirky space in one of the most unique compounds in Phx - The Hive (has a coffee shop, a zine shop- handmade magazines, a jewelry shop, a vintage shop, an art gallery, and a plant shop in the back). The Bee's Knees is like a thrift shop but with only good stuff! There's jewelry, mens/women's/kids clothes, accessories, kitchen tools, and art. read more

I've been in a real thrifting mood and finally made my way here. This place was a real treat for someone like me. Lots of curated clothing for non curated prices! Most items were within the $10-$20 dollar range and they had a large selection of women's clothes and smaller, but still worth looking at, men's and children's sections. There was also some local art in the front of the store. This thrift store is located close to another smaller second hand shop and coffee shop. There was also a small stage area where they host open mic nights. All in all definitely worth a stop in! Friendly staff and low prices make me want to return already. read more

I love thrifting so naturally I had to go check this little place out. Parking was a little crazy, but just park right on the little side street. The store is very organized, and you will for sure find something you cannot live without. I personally thought everything was very reasonably priced. They have a nice little fitting room in case you need to try something on for size. There were a little bit of everything in the small space you should definitely check it out. read more

Great little resale nook! Very friendly store manager/sales associate. Items are well-priced (ex-resale clothing worker here). There's a variety of clothing genres--from contemporary casual/bohemian, to unique retro and vintage pieces. There's something for everyone in this cozy spot! read more

Art and thrift clothes, memorabilia and jewelry. This place is so cool and a must see-stop if you're in Phoenix. The owner was so knowledgeable about the local art scene and really helpful; gave us the best complementary jamaica drink ever. You'll find some very cool threads and buy some sweet local art there. I have been to many thrift stores yet I have never been to such a cool thrift art store like this before. And girls, the dresses looked really cool here. Guys, sweet t-shirts (about $6) of all sorts. read more

I stop here every once in awhile to see what they have. Like any thrift experience, it is hit or miss. Sometimes I've left with a few items, sometimes none. However, I always enjoy looking at all the memorabilia, the jewelry, the art, and clothing. The owner is super nice. There's also a small coffee shop across the way wafting good smells your way. I've always found parking on the side street. read more

A really neat shop with a wide variety of vintage clothing and thrifted finds. The owner also has stocked the shop with lots of handmade goods from local jewelers and artisans. It's best to bring cash. read more

What a delightful little shop. Having driven by The Bee's Knees several times I thought I'd pop in and see what the store had to offer. The front of the store contained original artwork from several local artisans, as well as some really cool collectibles. The atmosphere was pleasant, and coffee and cupcakes were offered by the proprietor. Nice! At it's heart The Bee's Knees is 1/3 art shop, 1/3 thrift store and 1/3 gallery. The thrift store portion is mostly for the ladies, as the men's portion is one small rack. Still, the stuff is all pretty cool and reasonably priced. If you have an hour to kill and a few bucks to drop you should check out The Bee's Knees, you may find something fun. read more

What a gem! Such an insightful owner who's genuinely dedicated to the art scene in the area; followed up with great suggestions on things to do throughout the day. Everything's neatly kept and well priced, definitely must-see if you're interested in the raw, local scene of Phoenix. read more

Fun, funky little vintage boutique with lots of cool merchandise! I was on the hunt for clothing, but nothing quite worked out. I did buy a few cool vintage silk scarves though! At only $6 a piece. read more

I liked it and prices were more then fair on everything except the art (a bit out of range I think, but some pieces are nice, just too costly) great place! Felt like I found a hidden gem and the coffee was good! But watch out about your car - the area is shady and I almost had my purse snatched when I got in my car around the corner (not the Bee's Knees fault though - just warning!) read more

Thrift store meets artist co-op = fabulous! What a great idea. I scored a nifty shirt for the husband for $2 and best friend found a super cute top for $4. Plan to meander - even though it's a small-ish store, there's lots to see. read more

So, this was our first stop right out of the rental car gate in lovely Phoenix, on our fist visit to the city. What a lucky set of events! Not only was the shop stocked with fantastic handmade local goodies and wonderfully curated clothes and accessories, we were treated to the full local insiders list of *other* great places to shop, eat, and hang out in Phoenix. Julia, the owner, wrote everything down for us (yes, we like paper and pens) and we dutifully followed her expert instructions. What a treat to have kind folks who share their time and knowledge. We scored some super cool skateboard bracelets, acrylic optical brite necklaces, and a sweet handmade saguaro felt cactus. Then we had a superb iced coffee at the shop right next door, and enjoyed looking at the incredible paintings in their adjacent gallery space. What a joy. It's a must-do, a win-win, and the Bees Knees! read more

The Bee's Knees - Neighborly fun place - Thrift Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I'm so happy they're back from Summer vacation! I popped back in and found an outfit to wear out on Saturday night. The clothes are cute, hip, and affordable. The owner has a great eye and is fun to visit with. Great way to see some local art, too. I highly recommend visiting this shop! read more

I really really wanted to like this place, but once going in the door I noticed it was very dark inside. There were lots of things to look at all over and the prices were terrific, but I found nothing really special inside. They do have vintage clothing, but once again nothing really outstanding or special. There were more vintage men's clothing than most stores. I must admit that I am spoiled by the vintage clothing stores in my hometown, so I might be a little bit of a skeptic. They also had some art and homemade jewelry. With this name of the store I was hoping for something more eclectic. read more

Wow! I had the great fortune to happen upon this place after seeing a post on Coronado Historic District's facebook page about a sale. I went in today trying to take advantage of the sale that is going on and was blown away by the great selection, the beautiful art space and gracious owner. All of their items are reasonably priced, they have a great selection of clothing and accessories for men and women and the environment is chill. It is easy to miss this store driving by, if you don't see it... Look Again! :) read more

This store is a 16th Street treasure! I happened upon the Hive when I was living and working in the area. Great art, great accessories and wonderful selection of clothes. The owners have impeccable taste and are always helpful in putting together outfits. I have found quite a few event outfits here, some still have the store tags on them! While you're in the area for lunch at La Condesa (which is just down the street), stop by the Bee's Knees and see what treasures they have to offer. You won't be sorry! read more
