It's clean, organized and the odor is not as bad as other Goodwill sites. The layout is good and spacing is better than other Goodwill sites, as well. Prices are getting out-of-hand, but that seems to be the case at other Goodwill locations, too. We decided to check out this Goodwill during their 50% off system wide sale. This is the first time I had visited this location and similar to other outstanding locations in the valley, this location is very well organized, clean, and well lit. I mostly focus on men's clothing, including suits, shirts, ties, and belts, and this was a decent location for those items. Unfortunately they mostly carry sport coats with very few matched suits. My homeboy was able to find a really nice suit right when we walked in but after 10 or 15 minutes of perusing the rack, I was not as lucky. It was also towards the end of the day and I'm pretty sure with the 50% off sale there were a lot of shoppers that likely combed through the racks before we got to them. They have the full array of both men's and women's clothing, housewares, sporting goods, kitchen wars, etc.. they also had some furniture items, including a couple of love seats and couches. This location has netted two stars so far. Must be outraged shoppers slighted by long lines (?), disrespect (?) and such. It has the patented Goodwill scent, lots of merchandise - some interesting. Family is here for reading books today. My carcass is parked on an old sofa from a smokers house. Goodwill had nothing to do with that. Prices - not defibrillator level, but a flipper of stuff would have to shop very carefully. I have to go. Someone is ringing that cowbell I had my eye on. Way before covid, the goodwill on Peoria, in peoria Az took theyr Career Center out of the store, due to low staffing. Then we had Covid and they now are saying the dressing rooms cant be opened back up because of that! You purchase something at goodwill for a BIG price, you cant try it on, and you have a week to bring it back, AND you only get store credit, they win twice, they get the item and you have to spend the money at goodwill. They dont have the big sales like the 3rd week of the month, at 50 or 75% off! Why not? I know goodwill is a non proffitt and supposed to pay a percentage of theyr earnings but, a friend of mine works where they send the money and goodwill hadnt paid in a couple years. Goodwill needs to come down on theyr prices, way to hi. stop taking cords of the radios, hooks off shower curtains, and so on, sell them with the item it came with. STOP PUTTING THE TAGS ON THE FRONT OF READING GLASSES and ON TOP SOMETHING THAT HAS A LOGAL. I could say more but i will stop here. read more

No longer an enjoyable experience, all the new policies are awful. No carts outside, have fun hauling all of your heavy purchases to your car. No dressing rooms, most stores have completely removed them. Terrible return policy, very strict and short return window. Employees yelling at customers, or just rude in general. Had an employee slam clothing on the dress rack because we didn't move out of her way fast enough, she ran up on us we didn't even know what she wanted. They now charge for bags, the amount of reusable bags they are selling they could easily supply shoppers for free if they really cared about recycling. Buy bags or carry out your individual items. Prices are higher and higher. read more

I do enjoy going into this Goodwill location. The employees are friendly and present as wanting to serve the community. Depending on the time of day, it can be super busy and disheveled - but most of the time the store is clean and easy to navigate. 50% off Saturdays are definitely the most popular days! Dropping off donated items is simple - drive around the back of the store! Lots of clothes and seasonal items to choose from. I rarely find any decent furniture here - though that could totally be a timing thing. This location is super-easy to get to. It's on the SW corner of Thunderbird & 7th Street. Lots of parking and even a Wells Fargo Branch + ATM's in the same lot. Like any thrift-store experience, it takes several "experiences" to develop a good baseline/feel for the store. Plenty of parking. I started visiting Goodwill just recently, and I found that I thoroughly enjoy browsing the aisles. It is almost therapeutic. All the stores seem to be fairly organized and they have very low prices, with some special discounts depending on the day. I stopped here once when my friend that I was meeting at Starbucks was a bit late. At this store I got some wide mouth Mason jars that seemed to be new and I have been using them a lot to make my own yogurt. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they are very careful packing fragile items. read more

On 02-23-2023, I went in for an interview with Goodwill. I had my interview and was all but promised the job. I was told they would call me the following day to finalize the hiring process. I had heard back from them and I attempted to contact a manager at Goodwill with no luck. Finally on 03-02-2023 I was able to speak with a manager, and she told me in a very non-caring tone that Goodwill chose a different candidate and I should find another job and hung-up. read more

The manager, of all people, treated me like I was trying to SCAM him, just because I hadn't realized I was one day past the 7-day return period and asked him to let me return the 8.99 top for credit, anyway. After denying me the 8.99 credit, the manager also said very loudly that, "I'm not going TO JUST OPEN THE REGISTER AND GIVE YOU THE MONEY," which was ridiculous because I had only asked that he put it on a Goodwill card as usual. I was a regular customer who had never asked for anything before. Bottom Line: I'll go to another thrift store chain from now on where they at least have a two week exchange policy. read more

Yeah so I went in today just to browse and right as I walked in, the only sales associate at the cash register just stared daggers into my eyes. Like sure if she just glanced at me I would've thought nothing of it, but she gave me a very cold glare and didn't even say hi or anything. No, I don't expect amazing customer service from a Goodwill, but I would expect higher standards for customer interactions. I would've shaken this off, but the same exact thing happened as I walked out. No "have a good day" or "bye", just a really weird glance from the employee. Don't go to this store anywhere near closing time. The cashiers and managers literally start YELLING at customers 20 minutes before they close that they're closing. It's a circus. And then they will have 3-5 employees trying to get people to leave the store and one employee, usually an older woman, on the register. Meanwhile thieves are walking out the door with backpacks stuffed full of stolen merchandise while staff is only worried about closing the store for the night and getting paying customers to leave. Goodwill ought to be ashamed of the manner in which this store is run. The staff and manager there have a literal disdain for the customers. I go to Goodwills often and I've never seen a more poorly managed store or more unprofessional associates and incompetent "managers". read more

Management and crew need customer service training. If you are returning something beware of the Female night manager she will inspect every Little detail and if the other store did not price correctly she will refuse a return. I see street people walk out with stuffed stolen items in backpacks and the employees just ignore so it's beyond me why they would not take a return of 8 dollars read more

WORST. MANAGEMENT. EVER. Usually, I love going to Goodwill. I love finding those hidden treasures and they always have a great selection. However, as this Goodwill does have a wide and affordable selection of items, the customer service here is the more atrocious I've ever encountered. And surprisingly the worst customer service was given by the manager! How does someone get to a manager position treating people like trash?? -The story is, I purchased a large item from this Goodwill. I was told I would have 2 days to pick up my item (as I didn't have a big enough car to fit it), and if I didn't have a receipt the manager would be able to view their cameras to make sure I purchased the item for proof. On the second day, I go to pick up my item and borrowed a large vehicle from a friend. I have no idea where the receipt had gone. I go to talk to the manager, and while I am saying, "I can't find the receipt but-" She yells. "NO! We can't give it to you." And walked away. I had to catch up with her and get her attention again. I explained to her I already paid $50 for the item and I was told for proof w/o a receipt they could look me up on the cameras. Rolling her eyes, she refused to look at the cameras and said to come back the following day at 8 am for someone else to do it. She specifically said she could do it, just didn't want to. She acted like I wasn't worthy of her time. So now I had to borrow my friend's car AGAIN, just because she was too lazy and rude to do her job. Also, goodwill doesn't open at 8 am, they open at 9 am. So this woman doesn't even know her own store times. I feel sorry for the employees at this Goodwill who need to work under her. I didn't catch her name, but she has short curly black hair and a huge attitude. I hope she or her senior see's this review and takes her down a couple notches. read more

This particular goodwill has a tendecy to way way way overprice their items. I've seen it in other good wills but not to the extent as this one. Juice glass four dollars! Old scratched Little candle holder 5.99 ! A bowl with lid 29.99!!!!! These were not collectible items, or name Brand. They must watch YouTube and see a couple people who sell their stuff on eBay so they think everyone is doing that. Unfortunately they have no idea what they're doing. Also a couple of other people posted about people walking out with backpacks filled with stuff. I too have seen it an entire cart filled with stuff in the employee at the register just looked at the person as they were laughing and ran the door. People don't donate to this place. Most if it gets stolen or it overpriced. I am a mom that just adopted my 3 nephews in that whole process to add more kids to our family we have lost our home and our jobs, needless to say we are on a budget. So Goodwill has been my go to for many things for the kids and our home. Well just yesterday I told myself I need to focus on me and my health cause having 4 boys that some came with behavioral problems I have lost myself in the process. I decided to go to goodwill to find exercise equipment on a budget and in the past I have seen some nice equipment at a good price. Well I found one, actually I found several and they all was so over priced I could just bought it somewhere that would carry a short warranty and free delivery. They had an elliptical there that was priced at $799 lol no way to know the history nor does it come with a free or even a charged warranty. Shut down by the fact that I would need over a $1000 dollars at goodwill to begin my health journey I went to another goodwill right down the road found no equipment but saw some really nice toys for my toddler that birthday is going up soon. Well to my surprise they was asking over $100 for most of them. How dare you change this much, I told my story cause these are the people that shop at your stores. If we had money to spend $100 of dollars at a second hand store with NO guarantee that it will work for a decent amount of time but if it doesn't work we can load large equipment back up into whatever large car or truck someone has or Barros only to receive it in store credit is absolutely preposterous and it's shameful. I'm the face of goodwill shoppers the ones that want to have nice things but can't afford our kids are the kids that go to your store and see toys they want and we can't even afford to by that for them. I have found some great items at this Goodwill.They have some high end clothing (found a pair of J Jill linen pants for $1.00). The staff is also super helpful and friendly as well. When I arrived at 9am, there were already 20 people lined up outside and I started to wonder if this was a spot with really good stuff - turns out it was a 99-cent promo day. This is a decent-sized Goodwill that stocks mostly clothing with some housewares, art and small furniture. The clothing was mostly in good condition and ran the gamut from Target to mall designers, with pricing being a little high for what I'm used to - standard pricing looked like it was 9.99 for a dress and 5.99 for a top, etc. There's a lot of clothing but it's organized by size and color so it's easier to go through. In the center of the store are "better" apparel racks, and these didn't seem to be priced much higher than the regular stuff, actually. I saw some interesting mid century art - there was a 30x40 oil painting priced at 49.99 that I really liked, and some fiber art - and a cool end table that I would've grabbed if I had any way to take it on the plane. Someone else nabbed it within minutes after the store opened, so I assume this stuff doesn't stay on the floor long out there! read more
