Forget what you think about thrift stores and come check out this one on Indian School. I've driven by it a million times and was surprised when I finally went inside for the first time. The store is clean and well organized and not crammed full of items. The prices are very reasonable and there are things on sale every day. It is evident that they select the very best of things to sell because it is supporting a great cause. It will be my go to place to buy stuff and donate things. One of the things that will keep me coming back besides the great selection of stuff you never knew you needed and that it supports the Hospice of the Valley, is the manager and the people who work there. My teen wanted to go thrifting for some clothes, and we ended up here. There was a sale for 25% off everything, which was nice. We both found some earrings and my kid found a few clothing items. Everything is organized and displayed well and it feels clean for a thrift store. Bathroom was clean as well and parking plentiful. More staff than customers, so if we needed help it was available. Also, having fitting rooms is really great and they were clean and uncluttered too. Prices were higher than a standard thrift store, probably on par with Goodwill prices, but I think that's ok for a nicer selection of stuff and supporting a good charity. read more

My sister and I were in the mood for some thrifting and we stumbled upon this White Dove location. We were really impressed by the size of the store, as well as the vast array of sections in it. They had large selections of housewares, clothing, shoes, craft supplies, and even furniture. The building seemed small on the outside, but was actually two stories full of thrifted treasures. I ended up getting some earrings (jewelry was another massive section) and some sneakers. The sneakers were Nike brand, worn maybe twice, and only $15. The cashier was a delight and told us that our purchases go towards supporting Hospice of the Valley, which is a non-profit that I think very highly of. This was a great experience. If you haven't shopped at a White Dove Thrift Shoppe location, you are probably missing out on some great finds. White Dove's stores support the non-profit Hospice of the Valley. I take all my good donations to them. They often inspect your donations and don't take shabby items, so you won't have to sift through a lot of junk as you shop. It's not unusual to find new merchandise. They have a little furniture, some artwork and a great household/kitchen section too. They do such a good job of organizing the stores. Clothing is neatly hung by size. They even have a boutique area for designer and better label garments and shoes. I encourage you to shop at any of the four locations, including this one on Indian School, and Scottsdale, Mesa and the large newer location for the Glendale store near the Arrowhead area. read more

First time I went to the white hair shop was on a Monday, which is senior citizen day so I got some great deals. I was very pleased

This is the 2nd time the store manager has refused my donations- I had 2 beautiful modern chairs this time (03/31/2026) but she allowed a white cabinet & a box of clothing that I brought, to stay- Said they were overcrowded... Last December 2025, she refused to take a dining room set for the same reason, this was after I had unloaded it & had to reload it) Told me to take it to Goodwill.! I'm sorry but I never knew a donation store to "Pick & Choose" what they want & don't want- This "So Called" manager is losing the Hospice Organization money.! This is very sad & I won't be donating or shopping at this store again- Someone needs to look into this employee also... It's Just Not Right & I'm going to tell everyone I know about this.! read more

The mostly female staff in this establishment is extremely uncomfortable working with people of color specifically African American women. I've been to this location a multitude of times and each and every time I am treated as if I am a burden to the staff when asking to see a potential case item. Anytime I am waiting in line. I am asked to wait longer or push aside so an employee can service someone else. I've never been to this location and did not make a purchase or multiple purchases. Today someone decided wait outside the store for me after i paid and want to speak with me about how I'm being treated, instead of talking to the staff about how they are treating me. It's a joke. I will never visit this establishment again and will make it very apparent to others this business is NOT one of diversity and inclusion, and they will ostracize you any opportunity they get. read more

There are two floors - the first is homegoods and women's and second mens, luggage, books, and artwork. I frequent this store often, and I always find amazing items. There's a large selection for anything you're looking for. New items are added daily. I've brought many friends and family to shop with me. Some have never thrifted before and are in awe of the selection. Everyone there is very kind and friendly. They greet you with a good morning and a big smile. Special shout out to Janey, Stacey, and Abel, whom I've gotten to know so much from going there. They are so nice and friendly. Everyone at this location is great! Check their website, as they offer daily specials. I've recently become a thrift shopper, and this is one of my favorite locations. Visit and bring a friend. Really fun. What separates this from other thrift stores is their organization and quality. They have treasures here folks! Plus it all benefits the incredible Hospice foundation. I found the most incredible coin bracelet. It's was super dirty and tarnished. For $45 I took it home and spent hours cleaning. It looks beautiful. I debated writing this review, as it is not positive but needs to be known. I frequented this thrift shop last week, July 24th and had an awful experience. My daughter and I started at the front of the store where there were some lovely finds in the housewares section. We then went into the clothing area, where I began to browse through the dresses. At some point, a man that I assumed worked there passed by and looked me up and down, which I ignored and continued to shop. ( after some time I realized that he did in fact work there). A little later my daughter asked a question and was in a section behind me which prompted me to turn around. As I did so, the same man that passed me previously was standing behind an archway of an adjoining wall watching me so hard that when I turned I had no choice but to make eye contact with him, he could not hide or stop staring. My daughter also caught him. I became so uncomfortable that I would not allow my daughter to leave my side and decided that it was best to leave. I did tell the lady working the register of my experience and asked that someone be made aware of this behavior; although initially she acted as if she was not sure if he worked there or not. It was made quite clear when he passed by during our conversation with clothes in hand to place on racks. I checked out with the three items that were in my basket and immediately went to the car; but not before requesting once again that she make note of my experience there. (The following statement is for knowledge purposes only): I am currently visiting and staying in Scottsdale where I am never followed or watched; to then go to a "not so great area" of Phoenix to not only be watched but practically violated. It could almost be comical; but unfortunately it is nothing short of disgusting. Especially with the human trafficking issues coming to surface here. I am not sure of his intention in watching me but whatever reason initiated this behavior is not acceptable. Ladies if you plan to go here, make sure to take a friend or family member. This apparently is a new store. It's very clean and spacious with 2 levels(Men's clothes on 2nd level). There's nice furniture, clothes and electronics. I found a nice blue shirt(name brand)with a $6 tag. I was very pleasantly surprised to pay only $3 since it was 50 percent off day. I'm wearing the shirt now and it fits great. read more

By far my favorite place to thrift! I have found so many beautiful pieces of furniture, lamps, kitchen ware and art, all at very good prices. Poor service. My coworkers and I brought our members into the shop and were told immediately that we are to supervise them at all times and to make sure they don't "get into things." Our members have disabilities and we are liable to make sure we have to be aware at all times of our members. However, this particular woman felt the need to single us out and claim otherwise. She claimed she had a bad experience with a previous group, which is not fair. We left immediately because we did not feel welcomed in the place. We felt that the woman was discriminating our particular group and making assumptions that we would not behave well. It was truly a poor experience and we will not be returning. read more

I swear during Covid 19 work from home orders- to my dismay, I've turned into my mother, and want to have my own cute little garden! I don't know who I think I am, but I consistently forget that I am Queen Plant Killa! So, buying colorful pots and stuff for such a steal- looks like I'm going to continue my killing spree! I found a huge antique mirror ALSO for 75% off! The original price was $150, then was marked down to $75! And 75% off of that! What??!! I don't even NEED a mirror and I was arguing with myself that it would be okay to buy one more!! Maybe even if I put it outside in the garden??! So here is what this place does. Coax elderly people into donating their valuables as 'charity'. They then appraise each and every item using Ebay and put the highest prices on these items they were given for free. I can't understand why anyone would shop at these stores. The new store is terrific, but the prices are stratospheric. I saw a price tag of $275 for a floor lamp yesterday, and while it was nice...this is a used item that was donated to charity in the first place. And that wasn't the only thing that was on the high side... I didn't look at the clothes, but all of the home furnishings seemed to be priced way higher than they used to be at the old store. I'm an avid thriftier of this location and their few others. I was just in there looking around & picked up a belt from the boutique section. The only reason I had picked this belt up was because it was under $30... while shopping the tag fell off. As I went to check out, I informed the lady at the desk that I had lost the tag while looking & wasn't sure of the EXACT price. (it was 25) She went to the back and came back out and priced me $40??? Absolutely ridiculous to market yourself as a charity run thrift store then try to scam your customers for more money??
