I was initially taken aback by the entry of the shop. They had a coffee shop and a large sitting area. I also saw stairs, so I assumed this would be a multi-level thrifting experience. We moseyed around the area just past the coffee shop and found lots and lots of glassware. Dare I say too much glassware? The linens and trinkets sections were disheveled with a handful of visibly broken items sitting on the shelves. The main area of the shop was more visually pleasing and was a bit more organized, but we remained underwhelmed. The biggest disappointment, however, was that the upstairs was restricted to employee access only. We were so disappointed that there weren't more thrifty treasures to be uncovered. The exterior of this shop was deceiving as we thought it would be massive, but it was actually quite small. Bummer!

You can buy them, try on at home & if they don't fit, bring back & get a store credit. I love finding treasures & always spend more time than I intended. When I finally made my choices, I headed to the only line they had set up. Two people in front of me had LOTS of stuff & then there were four people behind me. That's seven people & only one cashier. Come onnnnnnn! I saw one guy walking around, on his phone, who looked like he might be in charge. "Are you the manager?" I asked. "Yes" he replied. "Can you open another line?" To my utter shock & delight: "Yes sure." I learned that they were short staffed which made sense, since usually I see more workers out on the floor. Manny opened up another line to get things rolling AND shared a 20% coupon with me. YAY! I was soon out of there & off to dinner! Thanks Manny (the manager) for delivering excellent customer service! P.S. Rather than complaining when out at a store/restaurant, please try being proactive, by asking for help from someone who works there. It doesn't always work but it's worth a try! (Yes I've worked retail & waited tables - not easy jobs...)

I'm not exaggerating when I say at least 90% of my wardrobe comes from here. It is where I go to buy outfits for everything: dates, work, travel, my own baby shower :) Every visit feels like someone with good taste went through the racks first. One of my favorite things is that the store is organized by color. Consignment shops can feel overwhelming and disorganized, but here it's easy to browse and actually find what you're looking for. Even better are the people. Emily and Claire have gotten to know my style over the years and pull things they know I'll love. When I ask for an honest opinion, I get one, and it's always genuine. I've been bringing my son in since he was a baby, and he loves it there too :) They remember him, ask about him, and make him feel welcome. After all this time they feel less like store employees and more like friends I get to visit with when I go in. Going to Poor Little Rich Girl is something I genuinely look forward to, never a chore. I'm so glad this store exists and as much as I would like to keep it a secret...you should go!
