Prices are a little high. The selection of stuff is just ok. Waste of a drive from Avondale for me.

Feed My Starving Children - Warehouse

2/14/26 Purpose…read more My study groups Team event. Fourteen of us from BCC did a Community volunteering activity to pack box food for children in need. Today we are focusing on specific overseas underserved villages and dietary needs of the children. Parking 5/5 Abundance of private parking Facilities 5/5 Very impressive building, large well suited for Feeding My Starving Children's mission. Teams which can be families, business teams etc may sigh-up in advance to be scheduled to participate in a meaningful and needed service for fighting hunger. Our day began in their Large group welcome and information room. Run by a great orator of their organization we learned what we were going to do and who would be receiving the product of our labor. Very nicely done! Surrounding this great room was the organizations special store. Items available for purchase were made in many of the countries they serve. Packing room 5/5 After dawning head and facial hair nets and gloves we were organized in sub team groups to a specific job. Activities/Effort 5:/5 in the progressive line from bulk dry food products to measuring, funnel dumping into bags to scale to add or remove product to meet bag weight requirements the to a sealing operation and final case building and taping. Teamwork 5:5 There must have been 8-10 teams with ~14 a team in a fun and motivational competition to maximize the Total food each two hour shift could produce. I enjoyed how our team with some ASU students developed teamwork that was flexible. Event take-away 10/5 Facts about food shortages and malnutrition are real. Child development is impacted both physically and psychologically. There are nations like ours who have organizations like Feed My Starving Children who have the networks, logistics, raw food based sources that utilize nutritional targets with environmentally stable ingredients. What we were shown today is the manual labor needed to meet the output requirements to feed those in need can be accomplished by organizing people of all colors, creeds and religions come together to serve a common goal, Feeding Starving Children. Everyone can benefit from moving out of your comfort zone by sacrificing 2-4 hrs to serve others, and to send a fundamental message to those around the world of Hope and Love through food. And in the process lean how you can work well with others from a wide spectrum of society for a higher cause. Get your families, work colleagues neighbors etc together and have fun helping! Be humble and gracious to others my friends-SYOY!

Amazing! Very structured, organized, and clean!…read more Employees were amazing and helpful. Only thing I suggest is maybe don't have a quiet person in the warehouse explaining how to do things without a mic- could barely hear her over the chatter of other groups and just static of the air. The introduction went smooth, warehouse is my favorite!!! Lots of moving around, heavy lifting, and quick thinking. This is a great organization to be part of if you want to volunteer, especially for a Christian business! They offer anyone who wants, to pray over the food boxes at the end of your shift (optional) they also have a "gift shop" which is all around you as you come in, so you can purchase goods made in other countries and know the labor is being fairly paid for! Everything priced well! 29¢ is what it takes to make one meal for a child, so every donation is significant, no matter how small! They're based off donations and don't take any assistance from the government, so any type of support you can give them is appreciated ! Attached is a picture of our ending numbers

Whatever materials they have are all at one location. 3) From what I can tell it seems to be less busy/popular than other libraries in the Phoenix area and if you're trying to reserve materials you'll get them quicker here. Library is clean and pretty well organized. Parking is easy as well. I wish they were open maybe an hour later, but it's fine.

The library location in Tempe is so much better than the downtown chandler library. The selection here is way bigger, and it's more teenager friendly. My son was able to get some good books he was interested in reading. In the downtown chandler location he couldn't find one book that peaked his interest. I got way more books than I expected. That's a good thing! I need to get back into reading. The employees here are so much more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable than the Chandler library. So safe to say I won't be back to the Chandler library. This library I will be a regular at even though it pretty far from em.

    Master Accounting and Tax Service

    (29 reviews)

If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this accountant at all costs…read more My family hired William Mease of Master Accounting and Tax Service to help with my elderly mother's taxes. She is in her 70s, has dementia, and needed a professional who could patiently and competently navigate the process. Instead, we encountered an accountant who was lazy, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. From the very beginning, Bill failed to read or absorb the information I provided, forcing me to repeat myself multiple times. Rather than listening or problem-solving, he fired back condescending emails filled with attitude. At one point, when pressed for guidance, his response was: "There is nothing further I can do for you. You will need to find a tax preparer that doesn't know what they are doing in order to get the return filed. Good luck!" That's right -- instead of doing his job, he essentially told my family to go hire someone "who doesn't know what they are doing" if we wanted the return completed. What kind of professional speaks to clients like this? This wasn't a one-off slip in tone -- it was a pattern of arrogance, laziness, and outright neglect. Bill showed zero compassion for my mother's condition, no willingness to problem-solve, and no respect for our time or circumstances. He seemed more interested in blaming us than actually providing solutions. An accountant's role is to help clients through complicated situations, not abandon them when things aren't simple. Bill made it clear that he doesn't have the patience, professionalism, or empathy to handle real-world clients with real-world challenges. Prospective clients: take this review as a warning. If you entrust your sensitive financial matters to William Mease, expect rudeness, blame-shifting, and zero accountability. There are plenty of capable, compassionate accountants in Arizona -- do not waste your time or money here. EDIT: I appreciate that Mr. Mease took the time to respond, but notice what he doesn't do: he never denies sending the unprofessional tirades I quoted above, including telling my family to "find a tax preparer that doesn't know what they are doing" and ending with "good luck!" That's because he did say them, in writing, and his response here conveniently sidesteps his own words and tone. Throughout this entire process, my messages to him were cordial and respectful, even as I had to repeat myself multiple times. His replies, on the other hand, were consistently dismissive, combative, and unhelpful. The problem wasn't that he insisted on accurate information -- any competent accountant should. The problem was his failure to communicate, failure to read the documents provided, and his repeated choice to lash out with condescending emails instead of guiding us toward solutions. Professionalism isn't just about refusing to "compromise integrity." It's also about having the patience, empathy, and communication skills to work with clients in difficult situations. Bill demonstrated none of these qualities. His responses showed the emotional intelligence of a toddler -- reactive, defensive, and incapable of constructive dialogue. So yes, I absolutely stand by my original review: if you're looking for a professional who will handle your financial matters with competence and respect, look elsewhere.

I had a nightmare of an experience with a different tax service that wouldn't answer my phone calls…read moreonce I dropped off my tax documents in March and waited until the last minute to file and fired me as a client the day of April 18th even though they promised to file an extension if it was needed...leaving me without my original documents and nothing done the day everything was due. Luckily I had made physical copies before dropping off my documents to that other service and I found these guys on Yelp. Evelyn was very friendly and booked me an appointment right away and offered their help to file an extension and prepare my taxes at a later date. Bill saw me in person hours later to explain everything and what to expect. When he saw how simple my filing was he offered to do it right then and there so it would all be resolved. Despite hitting a few roadblocks with getting all the information needed from me, he patiently helped me figure it all out and ended up getting it all filed. After a horrific experience elsewhere and this office's kind and quick service, I will be returning here in the future. Instead of being insulted and ignored, I was treated with kindness and respect even though I am not a big money account. Bill managed to do in an hour what my last Tax Service couldn't get done in a whole month. Thank you!!!!!

But honestly, Saint Joseph's Camp was AWESOME, and our kiddo had the time of their life! We were a little nervous at first (who isn't?), this was the first child in our family going away for the week to camp. Seeing our kid this happy and already begging to go back this year? We are sending her for two weeks this time. Seriously, from the second we pulled up, we just got a good vibe. There were enthusiast staff and teens welcoming her in and soothing her jitters. We totally felt like our kid was in good hands, which was a HUGE relief. Non-Stop Fun Stuff: We heard ALL about the lake, horses, the campfire tales, the epic games, and the cool crafts. They were never bored, that's for sure! So much to do! We got enough updates/photos to see online to keep our worries at bay while she was there. When she got home she was bouncing off the walls with excitement and seemed so much more independent. She tried new things, conquered little fears, and came back with a giant pile of amazing memories.

He was very reluctant to go and so glad he did. He came back happier. The following year, I came to know how much the camp cost. I saved as much as I could to afford it when it was time to send him. When he turned 15, he wanted to be a camp counselor and absolutely loved it. He continued to be a counselor for another year only to focus on summer working thereafter. As my daughters turned 8, they both started attending St Joes. I'm so glad I made the sacrifice. My daughters love camp, meeting new kids and building friendships over the past 10 years. My oldest daughter, now 18, was sad she couldn't be a counselor and because of travel couldn't apply to be staff. Next year, she plans on applying to be staff. My youngest daughter, now 16, was a counselor this summer and will be for one more year. All of my children grew up with St Joes. It is definitely a camp I would recommend to anyone and everyone! It's a sacrifice but worth so much more. My children love the camp, the activities, the friendships, the leadership skills and simply getting out of the Phoenix area heat to enjoy a bit cooler temp. Thank you St Joseph Youth Camp and thank you to all who have made this place a place my children have called their summer home and family for the past 14 years!
