I found a cute little tray for $1 that I came home and redid with some $1 oops paint from Lowe's and leftover wallpaper from a previous project. Pricing was reasonable I thought. Big store! I needed to drop off some items, but didn't see any sign for directions below the big sign for donation drop off. So I popped inside to check with staff who gave me directions to drop off in back. There are some small bins inside for small donations, but I had several boxes. The big bins are in the back of the store. There wasn't an obvious way to request a receipt, otherwise it was efficient. read more

I went back today to check the gross women's restroom that I saw a few weeks ago. Today's visit (6/18/24) was still gross. Last time it smelled terrible with lots of tp on the floor. Today's visit found more grossness. One picture is a pipe behind a toilet that is covered with dust and the other picture is of the dist covered ceiling vent. I've been to several Goodwill stores in California and Arizona and this is a nice, above average one with a nice clothes selection. I bought some nice pants and very comfy shoes that fit perfectly for a total cost of only $11.00! Great value and these shoes are great to walk in. I would have rated 5 but the cashier committed the somewhat egregious faux pax(somewhere between tripping a senior and putting a chocolate bar without permission in a jar of peanut butter)of ignoring me several minutes while she was on the phone. Paying customers at checkout must always come first over phone calls. Recommended Goodwill store with plenty of center parking. read more

No longer an enjoyable experience, all the new policies are awful. No carts outside, have fun hauling all of your heavy purchases to your car. No dressing rooms, most stores have completely removed them. Terrible return policy, very strict and short return window. Employees yelling at customers, or just rude in general. I was here once and the Casher was yelling at customers and almost physically moving them to where she wanted them to stand in the checkout line, just completely unnecessary, And you won't experience this anywhere else by at Arizona goodwill stores. They now charge for bags, the amount of reusable bags they are selling they could easily supply shoppers for free if they really cared about recycling. Buy bags or carry out your individual items. I glanced around most of the store and noticed how crowded it was on the racks and shelving. The clothes were really scrunched together making it hard to want to shop and the items on shelves were thrown around and piled on top of each other, again, making it hard to sort through and see what I'm looking at. I will add, though, at checkout my woman granted me the 20% off coupon from her own phone to save me money and it was a very kind gesture. read more

The assistant manager (Taylor) is very belligerent and threatening. When I inquired about the price of an item, she grabbed it out of my hands, yelling, and pointing her fingers in my face. When I told her to stop pointing out me, she became even more hostile, continuing to scream at me in front of my children. read more

Bought an item and asked if it could be returned because I didn't know if it would fit. Cashier said yes. I come back a few days later and wait 15 minutes in line to return it. Cashier says she can't do a return and to go to different register. Wait another 20 minutes for a manager to come do the return. Just to get a goodwill gift card instead of money back. To top it off the bathroom had no toilet paper or soap. read more

Why are they putting the extremely sticky price stickers on the back heel of boots? The stickers leave a distinct sticky residue rectangle that does not come off. Especially on suede. It ruins the shoes. I have spoken to 2 employees regarding this in the past. Yesterday, every pair of boots now has the stickers on the outside heel. read more

Been to the store twice today, unloading 2 suv loads of donations. Both times, two different employees didn't even acknowledge me. They just wheeled up a cart and walked away without even making eye contact, let alone offering their help. I took everything out, having to leave most of it on the asphalt. They never came back so I got in and drove away - both times. I guess I'll go back to donating to Savers. They're always nice, show appreciation, and at least they actually donate a considerable amount to charity. read more

Besides the Book Bin, Bookmans, and Savers, this is one of my favorite places to go and find used paperbacks. I stopped here during lunch today and picked up a LeCarre novel I have been looking to read. They also had several recent Lee Child "Reacher" novels as well. The store is well laid out and the employees are super helpful in finding something for you. This Goodwill has a lot of furniture, along with a good assortment of kitchen appliances, such as coffee makers and toasters. A great thing about their book section, is that most titles are in the $0.99 to $1.99 range. Used book stores will usually pay you $1.50 to buy them back. So, it's sort of my own lending library. BTW, I put back the 2007 edition of Phoenix area restaurant reviews, since Yelp does it so much better! LOL read more

The beauty of shopping in North Scottsdale is the abundance of high quality items that people in this area will donate to thrift stores. Here I found a wide selection of clothes, home goods, and costumes since it's Halloween season. For instance, on a quick browse through the jeans section some brands I found were True Religion and Lucky brand. Since it's a Goodwill, prices are definitely reasonable. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for (Igloo cooler) but I did pick up a large Rubbermaid storage box for a whopping $.99. read more

Went in for t-shirts to use in crafting and found great colors in a well organized system in both the men's and women's sections. I purchased a few books and both the cashier and I forgot to make sure that I grabbed that bag with my other three bags. However, she was kind enough to store the books in a cubby for me and they were there when I returned! I like going to Goodwill and feel comfortable to destress somehow in this one I didn't feel comfortable I went into the fitting room they still had an hour until closing time and a worker knocked on my door one time asking if I was going to take everything in my cart ????? If I wasn't why would they be in my cart. 2 minutes had passed and same worker knocked on my door again to rush me because there was someone out waiting ??? Again theres 6 piece limit and I was taking 6 pieces at a time no where did it said there was a time limit but also its not like I was in there for a whole half an hour.
