This used to be the location of my favorite Chinese restaurant in the valley so I thought I try the new place. It was just okay. The pork fried dumplings were ok and I got chicken with broccoli wasn't very good. Broccoli was cut in huge pieces and the chicken was rubbery. I really wanted to like it. Scallops drunken noodle is amazing. Lamb hibachi cooked to perfection. I think this is the best Asian restaurant in the area.

Definitely will be returning. A very VERY solid meal for our first there. Ideal date spot before or after a movie at Amherst Cinema. Service was prompt and attentive. Server maybe lacked a little confidence, but could be new to serving. For our first time there, we wanted to try a variety of items. * Crystal Shrimping Dumplings - very good, standard - what you'd expect. * Pork Shumai - I love good shumai but sometimes hesitant to order it, because when its bad its usually dense and chewy - and bad shumai is pretty common in western mass. However, THESE were excellent - super delicate, clearly fresh, and great flavors. Will be ordering at least two orders next time. Easily one of the most memorable Shumai's I've had in while. * Karaage - Unfortunately this was not karaage. This just seemed to be bits of chicken thigh fried in panko, where Karaage is usually more significant pieces marinated and fried in potato starch. That said, while it was not what I hoped, they were yummy (who doesn't like chicken nuggets?) and crispy. Not super bold flavorwise, so probably would make for a great choice for some picky children. * Steamed Duck Buns - these were listed alongside the Steamed Pork Buns, and we were expecting your usual big puffy steamed buns that were stuffed, but instead we got two nice bao buns with crispy flavorful duck and some cucumber (i think). * Pork Belly Pad Thai - Really nice standard Pad Thai. Good flavors. But would order the shrimp pad thai next time - pork belly was a bit dry. Pad Thai could use more peanuts, cilantro and lime as well. That said, would still order it again. Noodles were perfection. * Stir Fried String Beans (Aka Garlic Green Beans) - Absolutely perfect. Fried to perfection without burning anything, while still having a nice crunch to the green beans. One of my favorite dishes of the night. Highly highly recommend. And of course, we HAD to try desert. * Egg Custard Tarts - very tasty, exactly what you'd want from an egg custard tart but filling was a little gritty. * Rice Pudding - was quite surprised to see this. First off, BIG portion of black rice with red bean paste - served with some fruit on top. A really nice change of pace from your typical rice pudding. It was not super sweet, but the red bean paste just set it off. Such a great dish. Would absolutely order that again. So lots of great stuff and definitely above a lot of the usual chinese/asian fare in the area. Will be back to try the Ramen, and the crispy flounder and some other spicier dishes. read more

The place was quiet when I visited, most tables empty. I ordered steamed pork buns and the Tonkotsu ramen. The rolls came out first and they were pleasant to look at, nicely put together. Unfortunately the pork itself was exceedingly dry and even a bit crunchy around the edges. They described it as pork belly, but it didn't look like belly at all. The ramen came next and it was obvious that I had ordered poorly because the pork was the same as the buns, thin, and exceedingly dry. The broth wasn't too bad but I did ask for some chili oil for it. Oddly, even though the place wasn't busy, the waitress cleared some dishes, did some things up at the counter and after about 5 minutes came by with the chili oil. Just odd. When I ordered lunch, I also ordered something "to go" but asked her to wait a few minutes before putting it in. I must not have been clear because once I finished my meal and wanted to leave, the "to go" order hadn't even been put in. Oh well. I simply skipped it I might try this place again but honestly, that pork was so dry that I'd be a bit reluctant to do so. It should never have been served that way. read more

First time there for lunch. We had steamed pork dumplings and the Japanese Tako Ball appetizers. The dumplings were served in a nice steaming basket and were very flavorful. First time having taco Balls which were delicately fried with a rich Octopus filling...both very good. Then we all had tge spicy Ramen bowls..Two with Pork Belly one with shirt rib The broth had the perfect balance between spice and taste..the portion of pork belly and short rib was perfect as well...out sever took the time to explain the differences between the different ravens, appetizers as well as different Korean dishes. The chef came out to make sure we enjoyed our Ramen....great spot with a menu of different offerings...and pleasant staff...will go back!! read more

Last time I went there with my cousin, and it was a disaster! She ended up with a crazy allergic reaction after eating their super-spicy chicken--but here's the wild part: she's ONLY allergic to shellfish! Either that chicken had a secret seafood mix-up, or her allergies just declared war! Either way, never again! read more

The broth for the ramen is excellent. Never had broth so rich and creamy. The rice dessert is also very cool. I feel all the food is homemade and interesting. Not your run-of-the-mill recipes. Nice people, too. Would totally go back. read more
