Small space and it was busy when we came. I got the pad see ewe with chicken. It was a little dry and a big chunk of noodles were stuck together and didn't get any sauce at all. The curry fried rice was really good though.

From the whole atmosphere to the food, and of course the service was really what caught my eye. There was a tall individual, thin, with a bun in their hair. His customer skills were through the roof perfection! It was my wife's first time trying noodle soup and she loved it. It was her first time there as it was mine, and we both absolutely loved it!!!

An amazing college town restaurant that serves well priced comfort food. The basil fried rice here is a huge favorite of mine. The quantity is large as well.

Both my daughters were arriving home for Easter so I wanted to treat them to lunch. Crazy Noodles was the choice. Very nice casual place. A counter to order and pay at and numerous tables spaced reasonably apart where your food is delivered to. Fairly large menu with several different choices from beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options. I choose the wonton soup as an appetizer which was piping hot and loaded with pork filled wontons in a nice simple chicken broth with onion, cabbage and celery. Very comforting. I then had a noodle and green curry with shrimp that was again served piping hot. Nice and smooth with a savory bite at the end. I only wished I had ordered a side of rice to help soak up the extra curry. Very satisfying and great value. Plenty of food for the price. Both my daughters got pad Thai and were pleased with the dishes. I will definitely be back as the menu definitely has other item I would love to try.

my kids and I invited my parents to Crazy Noodles for their anniversary. We already loved this place; but now more so! We walked in as the skies opened up with torrential rains....my poor mom was soaked through! The gentleman gifted her a free Crazy Noodles T-shirt! So generous and kind! And as usual the food was delicious!

It has a traditional looking interior with wooden plaques around. I would have to recommend getting wontons no matter what dish you get, the sauce is so good and we were picking at the peanuts. I got my favorite Hot n Spicy noodles, this was a little more sour than I remembered so if you don't like sour soups I wouldn't recommend. The Dan Dan Noodles were great although could use a little more sauce. The cucumber dish was good, a little small but was refreshing to eat.

We walked into a casual but welcoming space that fits the style of food being served, the kind of place designed around hearty meals rather than a quick stop, with dishes meant to be shared and enjoyed together. The dining room has a warm, unpretentious energy that encourages lingering over a meal rather than rushing through it. The biggest highlight for us was the soup dumplings and noodle dishes. The soup dumplings had a good balance of thin dough, flavorful filling, and broth inside without feeling too heavy, and the wrapper held together well without breaking. The beef noodle soup was another standout, with tender beef that fell apart easily and a rich, aromatic broth that made it a satisfying choice. The handmade noodles had a great texture, with a chewy bite that added more depth compared to typical packaged noodles, and they absorbed the broth well without becoming mushy. We also enjoyed the other dishes that leaned into Northern Chinese flavors. The dan dan noodles had a strong savory profile with a good amount of spice, while the potstickers had a nice contrast between the crispy exterior and softer filling. The menu has a good variety, making it easy to order multiple dishes and try different styles of food in one visit. The portions were generous, and the balance of flavors across the table kept the meal interesting from start to finish. The restaurant can get busy, especially during peak meal times, but the wait was manageable. Service was friendly and helpful throughout the meal, with the staff checking in at the right moments and offering guidance on the menu when needed. The pricing also feels reasonable for the amount of food provided, making it a good value for a meal that feels substantial and well prepared. Lao Hu Tong is a solid choice for Northern Chinese cuisine, especially if you are looking for handmade noodles, dumplings, and comforting dishes. The food feels focused on traditional flavors rather than trying to reinvent classics, which is what makes the experience enjoyable. It is the kind of place that delivers on the promise of a warm, satisfying meal without unnecessary fuss.

Formosa has an affordable lunch menu, and even on busy days has delivered my meal within ten minutes. Don't be astounded yet, because I would easily wait twenty minutes for this food. When their food arrives from the delicious variety of their lunch specials, you will be treated to crispy tofu, a nuanced spice for chili or jalapeño meals, or fresh vegetables that will make you wonder: who is introducing you to the best cuisine that southeast Asia has to offer? Sichuan meals, Mandarin meals, and even with a Miso soup that is vibrant and delicate in flavor, you may not have any difficulty in deciding at all because any meal you choose will be cooked with what tastes like generations of expertise, love, and wisdom. It is not possible to follow a recipe, or a video, or a shopping trip and recreate the food at the level of Formosa, nor at the price of Formosa, and I say this after years of enjoying their meals. If you are in the area and you are hungry, you will want to visit Formosa as it is an unbelievably satisfying trip for almost any person in the continental USA, and likely for international travelers from near and far. Please tip your staff generously and leave a review to share this love--there is no amount of business they can do that will do the history and delight in their food justice. Their food is accessible to the local public, and they also donate to local causes as well. Amherst has more than universities that educate people here, they have restaurants with generations of stories and wisdom in every meal. You'll be amazed at the silky luxury their hot and sour soup is, with a texture matching the fresh micro mushrooms inside. Be prepared and humble, the staff are dedicated, responsible, and attentive to the public as much as they can. I would love to read a book about the story of this restaurant some day.

Anything we needed anything, they were happy to help. The chef was also very nice but I didn't ask his name. We ordered the Ginger Tea, Seaweed Salad + Gyoza (vegetable dumplings) to start, along with a small rice. The ginger tea is made with fresh ginger and is slightly sweet, the seaweed salad was authentic. The Gyoza were phenomenal; I asked Peter his advice on fried or grilled and he recommended fried. For the main course, we ordered the Fantastic Roll and the Koala Roll which were heavy hitters. 100% recommended. They have sake and are BYOB, big plus! We came back a second time, and I ordered the same thing: veggie gyoza and Fantastic Roll. My friends daughter loved the veggie dumplings just as much as I did. My friend and her daughter shared the sushi meal, and it came with sashimi that they loved. We also tried their chicken teriyaki appetizer and the meal. The appetizer comes with spicy mayo sauce which came on kebab sticks, and were too spicy for the kids but I thought they were perfect. The meal did not have spicy mayo and was sliced on a steaming platter. It was delicious as well, but I personally preferred the appetizer style. Eric and Peter were amazing servers the second time.
