The pork chashu was cut nice and thin, and I was able to watch him torch the pork right in front of me which was cool. The menma was really flavorful and added some depth to the bowl. I think the only thing I'd hope for going forward was a bit more broth in the bowl (it was enough, but felt like there could have been a bit more added). They have a cool loyalty program too (which of course I joined, I'm a sucker for rewards programs). (There were young guys walking around refilling our water glasses, so no need for her to do that.) We finished our meal and "Hellen" stopped at our table to leave the dinner check. Never once during our meal did she ask if everything was okay. She also didn't ask if we wanted another drink or, perhaps, dessert? (If they serve such a thing.) And it didn't appear to be just us. No one else on either side of us got another drink or was asked how their meal was. It seemed like it was just, "Here's your meal, hurry up and eat and leave so we can clean your table for the next people." Horrible service. Ruined the end of a nice day for us.
