Oh yes ! Wow! A vegan pizza restaurant! If I lived near by I'd be here all the time !! It's located literally just off a trail ! My pizza was out of this world && my cupcake sooo healthy and tasty! I miss you. lol read more

Large restaurant; order at counter; they bring food to table. Roasted yams are fantastic; sweet and tasty. Black bean burger was fine; patty on the small side and dry; glad I added sauteed onions. I didnt want to use the aioli sauce; wouldnt be dry if you use the sauce. Bun was terribly dry; I took one bite and decided not to eat the rest of the bun (was it a GF bun?). I'm thankful to have found this vegan restaurant. If you order the black bean burger, get a lot of toppings. read more

Our food was good, dishes were a bit lighter and less flavorful than I expected, but overall the flavors were good. We tried garlic knots, Bianca pizza, Mac & cheese, black bean burger, and almond joy drink. Plenty of parking and clean space with lots of unique vegan pre-prepared takeout options as well. It was not busy when we went and food came out pretty quickly. read more

Pulse Cafe - Vegan Near Me

Longtime vegetarian and had been wanting to try this place. Everything was fairly alright, but wished they had some cheese options without nuts in them. My burger claimed caramelized onions but the onions were certainly not caramelized... just regular cooked onions. For the price, which was almost $20 a burger, this was pretty disappointing. Also, prices are a bit too high to be expected to clear your own tables IMO. read more

Love this place. Everytime we visit my Mom in Easthampton we drive to Hadley to eat at Pulse. It's great for both vegans and non vegans because they offer items that are so good my family can barely tell the difference. This time we ordered a Large Blanco pizza which was great because there was plenty to take home for lunches throughout the week. I had the Tex-Mex burger for the first time. It came with a choice of house-made black bean burger, Impossible patty or Beyond patty. I chose the Beyond and I'm really happy I did because it was so good. Normally I would suggest a Cubano sandwich but they were out chick'n and waffles is great too. But today the burger really hit the spot. I had my choice of fresh greens or roasted potatoes which was a no-brainer. These potatoes are the best. I ordered a second order for my Mom to take home. She loves them. Imagine biting into a firm roasted potato skin with a velvety buttery mashed potato inside. Yeah, it's that kind of good! Today was a bonus, I accumulated enough points for a free small pizza of my choice! Heck yeah, that heats up nicely back home for lunches at work during the week. We might have loaded up on desserts... cookies, chocolate mousse, cupcakes, rice pudding, pastries. Oh yes, it's dangerous! There is seating inside and outside in nicer weather. Order at the counter and pay, take a number, find a table and they will deliver your meal to the table. Don't forget to tip your servers! Also check out their grocery and refrigerated section! read more

What a treat to find someplace 100% plant based with such an appealing menu! My adult daughter has been vegetarian for 30+ years and so often when we dine out she is stick getting the same boring veggie burgers or salads that most restaurants offer for vegetarians. The restaurant is low key - if you are dining in, you order at the counter, are given a number and your food is delivered to your table. We enjoyed sitting by a wall mounted fireplace that created a nice ambiance for our night out eating delicious and healthy food. Plant based is definetly the healthiest way to eat in my opinion so it is fantastic that it is available and delicious ...check them out! read more

Pulse Cafe is one of those places where I want to order one of everything! I most recently got the southern comfort bowl. For protein, I was leaning toward the tofu, but I took the cashier's recommendation of the soy dumplings instead. Good choice! Everything was amazing, including the garlic knots and coffee cake. I just wish they were open on Saturdays! read more

Sooo tasty and well worth the wait! We constantly missed getting in (closed Saturdays and latest 7 PM (some days earlier) -- so maybe we were too eager today. We had the almond joy and the elderberry iced tea to drink. Then, who can resist sweet corn tamales? Not us! They went perfectly with the cream and guac! My DH had the cubano and I had the chimichurri black bean burger -- Deliciousness! I will say this -- It was a lot of food and we were beyond stuffed for hours. I just wish there was a Pulse in other places... Until then cannot wait to go back! read more

I had a lovely lunch at Pulse Cafe. It's a casual, family friendly and nicely appointed spot to a quick meal, although you could linger if you wanted to. While it's vegan, several in our group weren't vegan and found plenty to eat. I was particularly fond of the smoothies, with the piña colada one being my favorite. We tried a couple of the calzones. I really liked the one with spinach and mushrooms. I chose to get it without the vegan cheese. Someone in our group got the tamale appetizer and it was very tasty. I'd stop in again if I was looking for a lunch or dinner spot in the area. read more

I have been hearing about this cafe since they opened but I never had a reason to be in this area. So when I planned to trip to Vermont, i got to come here. Wow, this must be the biggest vegan eatery I have been to ever. Like really!! Their food options to dessert to smoothies, everything is amazing. The people there are welcoming and rest rooms are super clean. Note: The pizza options look delicious I didn't get a chance to try pizza this time but I will be back again. read more

Don't let the name fool you. Pulse is way more than a café. You get to choose from a full menu, which is apparently different during the week. Also, there is a small market, which we didn't take the time to explore this time. Our host is local, and chose this place for the one vegetarian in the party, moi! Our meals: the crimini calzone, the chimichurri burger with Impossible burger, and the "chicken" and waffle. All were consumed and enjoyed, and the omnivores liked their choices as much as I did. Sorry, no photos today. We dug in too quickly, and then everything was GONE! The lentil curry soup and pumpkin pancakes were tempting, as were the pastries! Wish we didnt live so far away! So apparently this place was a buffalo and ostrich farm a little while ago. Hope this place lasts a long, long time. It's clean, the menu is creative, with something for everyone, and there's plenty of space for diners. Support this earth-friendly, independently owned restaurant! read more

I had one of the best lunches here in a long time. I guess it should say I had one of the best lunches I've had in a long time at this place. I had the black bean burger with the guacamole, etc., and the side of sweet potatoes and it was all so very good. Quite a healthy lunch really. This was not what I was expecting. The place is clean and it wasn't too busy so I was able to get my food reasonably fast. It was a little pricey, but that's partly because I bought a drink which was over three dollars. This is a great place for lunch. read more

Good food. Gluten Free options. Nice atmosphere to eat in. Glad I finally went in after passing by so many times.

Great food, quick service, and love the high-quality vegan food! In particular their desserts are worth it! Also a cute, homey place. I have been going here my whole life and I love how many different vegan options there are. read more

I was at Pulse a few days ago. The tamales were excellent, as was my sandwich and potatoes. I also loved my turmeric latte. I love Pulse and visit it as often as I can! read more

The food was quite good, the room and building are large and clean, and the staff was friendly. What more is there?

So many delicious options! I really loved their black bean burger. The chocolate mousse, too! The food was filling with high quality and good portions. Atmosphere is rustic, but classy. Service was good - we came in just as they were closing, but they were good enough to serve us anyway. The only downside is their weird hours. Check before you go. They close at 2PM Fridays, and they aren't open on Saturdays at all. But if you're there at the right time, this place is well worth a drive. read more

Great vegan out of way spot Never expected this kind of find in Hadley Comfort bowl with soy drum sticks, Mac and cheese, collards, black eye peas was great and filling. Had to skip the salad we purchased. Have had their bean burger Tried tex-mexdstyle with sweet potato fries before. Great dish. Super and filling Almond joy shake. Pretty spacious in door dining area. I didn't realize it was an order and sit yourself type of restaurant, but that was ok. The inside is very nice and spacious, although I feel like it lacks a little character and comfort... still feels too sterile. I split the blueberry pancakes and chicken n waffles with my mom and they were yum!!! The blueberry waffles were amazing and I would go back just for them. The chicken n waffles were a little underwhelming and dissapointing, the chicken was just triangle cut breaded tofu... tasted good but seemed lazy. ???? Also they didn't have coffee??? So I got some barley tea which is supposed to mimic coffee but it sucked. Do not order this if ur on the fence lol. We also got the banana pudding and carrot cake cupcakes to split and those were delicious! Would easily order them again and want to try all the other deserts available! read more

I am not often a huge fan of vegetarian restaurants with lots of vegan food however this place has amazingly delicious fresh food that tasted like it deserved a five out of five star rating. I highly recommend this location to anyone wanting healthy fresh delicious food. There were so many different options of things to order from gluten free pizza, to salads, to black bean burgers. The Caesar salad had the most delicious dressing, croutons and smoked tofu. I typically don't even like tofu but it was perfect and tasty. My friend had the black bean cheeseburger and she said it was delicious. The eggplant calzone was perfection with had nut cheese that was so creamy and melted perfectly. Highly recommend trying this place to enjoy a delicious healthy meal. read more

Brought my omnivore parents here for lunch during the week. They weren't very excited because they typically like to eat meat but I am vegan and couldn't wait to try this place out. The place is large, open and beautiful. Very clean. The staff was nice. My dad ordered Mac n cheeze and it was the best Mac n cheese any of have ever had. He loved it! My mom ordered a gluten free blanco pizza that was delicious. She loved it. I ordered Buffalo chicken pizza. It was also very good but I liked their meals better. It was pricy but worth it. Their hours are a bit strange and they aren't in the most convenient location but I'd say it's one of the best restaurants around. I hope others will come and support this lovely restaurant. It would be a wonderful place for private events too. read more

The lunch was good, but not as fantastic as I expected. Sorry, but I found the wait to be very long, the ambiance is pleasant but cavernous, and the food did not leave me wanting more. I often saw this huge building from Route 9 after shopping at LLBean and Trader Joe's. I knew it was vegetarian, which was a big plus, and was eager when I came at lunch time. The building is indeed cavernous. There was a very long line when we opened the door. People were ordering pizzas and other complex items. The good part is that the restaurant customizes. The bad part is that each order took a lot of time and there is only one person at the counter. You find a table in one of the rooms after you order and display a number. At that point you wait until service is ready. The server was too busy to be friendly. I don't need to have my hands held, but the experience left me cold. The food was acceptable but not exciting. read more

Pulse Cafe - No need to ask about ingredients because the food is composed of REAL food....vegetables and fruits - Vegan Near Me

My sister and I came here for a quick lunch. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with its ambiance. It was a pretty quiet setting, fire places surrounding several tables, super spacious dining areas. The workers were very friendly and provided great service. We only wanted something quick that would fill us up, so we ordered a couple things to share. Pineapple Glow Pulse Juice: - strong scent of cucumber - fresh tasting - stronger flavor of mint as an aftertaste - taste of the pineapple really sweetens the flavor of the juice Southern Comfort Bowl: - loved the combination of the tofu, beans, mac n cheese, and the collared greens - the portion size was large enough for a quick lunch for two adults Pecan Pie Bar: - much less sweet than your typical dessert bar - I thought it was pretty dry but my sister really enjoyed it Overall, I highly recommend The Pulse. Strategically located between the two neighborly college towns of Northampton and Amherst, this palatial restaurant evokes the welcoming experience of a college dining hall. With the food all vegan and its diverse ethnic clientele either veg or leaning, I adored this café from the moment I drove down the long driveway set so far back off Route 9 that the motorized hum of that busy highway was barely audible from its spacious parking lot. Indeed, while dining outdoors seated on the sturdy all-season stone tables, rather than car traffic we heard the songs of red-winged blackbirds perched atop native cattails (no invasive phragmites here!) on the surrounding marshland that buffers this restaurant from the hubbub of civilization. The ambiance is heavenly. The food nearly so. The Burger menu is enhanced with the choice of Gold Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes, both perfectly roasted. (If you happen not to order a Burger, do get the Potatoes as Small Plates.) The Black Bean Burger is noteworthy, but can greatly benefit if its spongiform white flour "artisan" bun were upgraded to whole grain. The rest of the menu of Pizzas, Bowls, and Salads consists mostly of wholesome foods, but is sullied by the Burger added choice of the two leading brands of industrialized mock meat burgers suitable only for omnivores who wish they were vegans, and for vegans who wish they weren't. With these two nonfoods frequently sold at non-veg restaurants, veg restaurants have no call to lower their nutritional standards. If Pulse dropped these noxious ultra-processed burgers from the menu, this café could ascend to become a true Vegan Heaven. Easily overlooked because it is located in an adjoining room, the Juice Bar provides nourishing liquid libations to enhance the nourishing solid fare. That day's two soups-of-the-day, Pea Soup and the Ginger Carrot, both are excellent. In addition to two for dine-in, a wider array of soups awaits you in the takeout fridge. Better still, that fridge offers other side dishes, too. Lucky us, we drove home with takeout Potato Salad to save for later, and it indeed was worthy of savoring as a dessert. We ate here on a weekday in the summer when the college crowd was largely absent, so the dining areas both indoors and outdoors were roomy and peaceful. I look forward to returning here during the academic year when the crowds and noise level might evoke my nostalgic memories of college dining halls, thus further enhancing my culinary experience. read more

while its odd hours and strange location have always made me wary of pulse cafe (and the fact that i am not a vegan), i have always wanted to try this place. the misattributed thomas edison quote on their wall can be ignored, as the food at this place is pretty smacking. the prices are a little insane given that it's vegan food, but i respect the hustle so oh well. service was quick as it's a walk-up order situation, and the inside is beautiful and instagram worthy. garlic knots were delicious and the half caesar is enough for one person. read more

Pulse Cafe - Smoothie Bowl was so good - Vegan Near Me

5/5 - A True Gem for Vegans & Gluten-Free Foodies Alike! Pulse Café is hands down one of my favorite spots -- especially as someone who eats vegan and gluten-free. It's rare to find a place that doesn't just accommodate but embraces different dietary needs without sacrificing flavor or creativity. Let's talk about the vegan gluten-free mac & cheese -- oh my god. It is the freaking bomb. No exaggeration, this is the best vegan GF mac I've had anywhere, and I've tried a lot. It's creamy, flavorful, comforting, and honestly, I'd make the trip just for that dish alone. My only complaint? They don't serve it on Sundays due to their punch menu, and that is truly tragic. The pizza is solid too -- the gluten-free crust was a little soggy, but to be fair, I did get it to go, so that might've played a part. Still tasty, especially fresh. Their chocolate mousse is rich, decadent, and an absolute treat if you're a chocolate lover -- though definitely something to savor slowly because it's intense in the best way. The vibes are warm, welcoming, and the staff is always super kind and helpful. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but for the quality of food and inclusive menu, it's so worth it. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying, feel-good meal -- whether you're plant-based, gluten-free, or just down for some seriously good eats. read more

We need more places like this. We drove about 30 minutes to get here but it was worth it, the food was spectacular! One of the best burritos I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy and so big that it was enough to share with others. Their seasonal squash pizza was delicious!! I honestly can't wait to go back despite the drive. Also, they make a delicious turmeric latte, and just a note that turmeric is great if you suffer from headaches or inflammation so its not only delicious, but good for you; win/win! Service was great, food was great, can't wait to go back even if the drive is kinda long, its worth it. read more

Ooh this was a delicious spot for lunch. We all decided to get the All-American burger with a variety of patties: Beyond and Impossible. My friend got a side of garlic aioli and I tried some, super good. There are a lot of tables as well as some outside, and it's a really cool building. Pulse is a huge building, with a parking lot to match. I see outdoor festivities in their future, if not being done already. There is a small market area with cold drinks like water, and you order at the register to have the food brought out to you. The cashew mozzarella on the pizza was very light and fluffy, almost marshmallow-like without the sugar. The Mac and cheese I wish was a bit creamier, but it was hard to tell it was vegan. The garlic knots and Almond Joy smoothie were both awesome. The smoothie was refreshing and had a great almond taste. read more

I happened to notice this place a few years ago when I was driving to North Hampton for the first time- I always wanted to check it out but live in RI. Today I decided we would make the trip. First off, the place is very spacious, bright, clean. They have a vegan grocery section which is very cool. I ordered a Caesar salad, build your own pizza (garlic, black olives, artichoke) My BF and I shared some knots with cashew cheese/ he got a buffalo chicken pizza. The Caesar salad was my favorite part, I am obsessed and would totally drive the 1.5 hours to eat that again! Whatever cheese and dressing they use they should totally sell! I'd buy it up! The knots with cashew cheese were also delicious. The pizza was gigantic, FULL of tons of cheese but the toppings were scarce. That was my only reason for taking one star off. You have to pay a bit to get the toppings and normally you'd get more at an average pizza shop or vegan place. My BF loves his buffalo chicken pizza. I can't wait to come back!!!! read more
