An update to my previous review of Zeta Computers... When I first reviewed Zeta and Tim - I said that I had hoped to never see him again because that would obviously mean that I was having phone problems... Well, as fate would have it, I have seen Tim again, however it was for my wife's phone. Same comments as before super responsive, great service, quick repairs and in both cases, we were back on our phones within the hour - swiping left, right, up, down and selfies all around town! But seriously, as much as we rely on our iphones for work and personal life, it is critical to receive such great service. Zeta is highly recommended! read more

My iPhone 5 is my world. I use it for everyday use and for travel. GPS Navigation via my iPhone is always a must when I go anywhere I don't know. Imagine to my surprise when my iPhone started to not charge overnight and had to meander around New Mexico on a recent October 2016 without any assistance whatsoever. I felt lost without my iPhone to guide me. Asking for verbal directions wasn't going to help much. After getting back to Honolulu without incident, I went back to Zeta computers here in Chinatown and was amazed at the speed and effectiveness that the service was. I came to Zeta computers once before to an inflated battery peaking out from my iPhone sometime last year (2015 or this year 2016). I don't remember. While that was a distance memory, I returned here for a second time, since I remembered that they do good work here. While I had gone to the Apple Store at Kahala Mall the night before and they couldn't do anything for me - other than giving me the doomsday scenario of getting a replacement phone and losing all my data, I couldn't bear to lose all of my photos and already written reviews on Yelp on my Notes app (but not posted). I'm glad things didn't work out with the Apple Store, since I would probably have to send the unit to the back of the store or to the mainland to fix it. The risk of losing my data was too important, since I didn't back it up before my iPhone officially died while I was in New Mexico. The overall experience here at Zeta computers was great the second time around. While I could have waited for my iPhone to be fixed in a few hours after dropping it off on a Tuesday around lunch time, I needed to get back to the office and told them I could get it the next day after work (Wednesday). I was glad to have gotten my iPhone back, so I can get my life back on track. I arrived here at Zeta Computers here in Chinatown, Hawaii 96813. They are a small business that's located in Chinatown's Cultural Plaza. When I first came here, it was hard to find this place, but give them a call to make sure where they are location. If you are in the Chinese Cultural Plaza and found the statue of the lady within the fenced enclosure, follow the alley way and there will be a couple of doors that will lead you to Zeta computers. There is a sign above the door and you will need to press the button to let you in. Zeta computers is convienetly located at 100 North Beretania Street in Honolulu. They accept major credit cards, which is always a good thing, as well as cash. Parking can be a bit of a problem while in Chinatown, so best bet would be to use the parking garage connected to the cultural plaza or find street parking nearby. Either way works. If you are like me, many bus routes come through Chinatown or come close to it. Choose the right route that best serves you and get here for your iPhone or mobile phone repair needs. I'm grateful that the repair was fast and effective. I didn't lose any data or photos during the time it was being serviced here at Zeta computers and the price was quite reasonable, especially when you're without a phone for about 4 days and needing it back badly to function normally again. Oh, the sign of the times these days. Lol. The service here was phenomenal. Tim was awesome and he provided fast and friendly service. He notified me that the port was damaged and it wasn't emitting enough power to the rest of the phone. The guy at Apple said something else and that kind of made me angry that he was generalizing stuff and not giving me a straight answer. Thanks to Tim for diagnosing the problem almost instantly and I actually mentioned Pokemon Go and he acknowledged that 3rd party lighting cables and portable chargers are partly to blame for the bad ports for the iPhone. Needless to say, I am happy that everything turned out the way it should be and happy that the price was very nice. $65 for the port replacement + taxes was very reasonable, versus what Apple had recommended to me. 5.0 stars all around. I made a phone call in the morning to confirm the price and screen quality..The tech guy get the phone and told me it will be original screen quality and the price is cheaper than the other store so I decided come to this store. But unfortunately, the screen doesn't even fit my phone and when I call back to ask if he can fix it.He behaved very perfunctorily. Awful experience .. read more

Tim is the best! Brought in my son's iPod touch, 5th generation with shattered screen and he did a great job of replacing the screen! He's very knowledgeable and prompt with letting me know when the repair was done. His prices are very fair and it's nice to know there's a lifetime warranty on the repairs. I was pleased to find he also does PCs and iPads. Next time I need a new screen or battery, I know who to call! read more

I have gotten my screen fixed here twice, both times my phone was completely fixed within the hour! They were so friendly and prompt. But be aware that they do not open at 10, they open at 11am. They have had trouble contacting yelp regarding the change in business hours. Also!--They gave me a Starbucks gift card because they opened up shop a bit late. Terrific customer service! read more

I cracked the screen on my iPhone 6 called around and they were a little bit cheaper than the other stores I had an issue with my screen brought it back and they swapped it out right away with the new screen. I gave them four out of five because I had to come back and get a new screen installed otherwise it was fast service and friendly people read more

Called to see if they had or could get a specific part to fix my system and the guy just hung up on. Not sure if they are a legit business or not, likely just around to scam old people on unnecessary PC repairs. read more

We went in to have our ipad screen fixed. It was cracked pretty badly. We brought it in over a holiday weekend time frame and it was ready before we needed it for work. The level of service and professionalism was outstanding. Tim is now our go to guy for any of our repair needs. We hope we wont have to see him again, but if we need to, he will certainly make the process of getting our electronics repaired much smoother and more pleasant. My old dell needed some big time help so I went to Tim from a recommendation from a good friend of mines. Tim was so friendly and knowledgable. He walked me through everything he did and made my slow as Molasses computer work better than when i first remembered getting it! He even put on free antivirus and showed me tips to stay safe on the web and keep my computer from sludging up again! read more

Awesome computer repair shop. My HD4870X2 (the biggest baddest video card on the planet a couple years ago) finally died on me and I called the store up on a saturday (when they are supposed to be closed) and said they would come in to install a emergency video card. I even got a customary dust cleaning, new screwdriver, and was even given advice to buy a new card that would maximize what was already in my desktop and the amount I would need to spend. This place is EXCELLENT! I work from home and for weeks my computer had just been randomly shutting down on me in the middle of jobs and I couldn't figure out why. I had finally had enough and called around to a bunch of places to see when they could get me in. This was on a Thursday, I had off on Friday but had to work again on Saturday and every place I called pretty much told me they couldn't even look at it until Friday at the earliest. I had already missed so much work time, that time frame just didn't work for me. I called Zeta Computers and they told me to just go ahead and bring it in as soon as I could and they would take a look at it. Finding the place was a bit confusing but I just called and they told me where to park and where to go from there. I dropped my computer off around 1130am and received a call around 3pm saying that it was done and that I could pick it up! Hallelujah! I couldn't pick it up that day but I did pick it up the next morning. The hard drive had to be replaced, I don't have anything to compare the pricing to, but I would say it was pretty reasonable, $170 for the replacement and labor. I've been using it with the new hard drive for the past 3 days so far and not a single problem! Works like new :) They also installed a few extras for me as well. I give this place a 5 stars across the board and will be using them in the future for any of my computer needs! read more

I took my iPhone here after reading reviews for screen repair/replacement and I'm sure glad I chose Zeta. Their price was competitive but most satisfied with the quality and customer service. The replacement screen functioned and looked perfect, just like out of the apple factory. They get 5 stars because after about 2 months my touchscreen started acting up and they were happy to take a look and replace it, free of charge. It's getting harder and harder to find companies who stand behind their work, so I am happy I stumbled upon Zeta Computers. read more

Brought my sons phone in because it fell in water. He said he deep cleaned it and it still didn't work, so I paid his service fee. Wanting a second opinion, I went to the Apple Store. Come to find out, it was missing components, including the camera! I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but according to the guys at Apple, whoever put it back together would have have known the parts were not there, it would have been impossible not to. They also were wondering why those certain parts had to be removed in the first place. So, I go back and ask them where my parts are and the lady tells me she doesn't know, she'll call me back because she has to ask the technician. Keep in mind that his work area is basically a desk. I'd think it's pretty hard to lose anything on a little desk. Later, she calls me back and says they found my parts and I could pick them up. At this point, I was so upset at all the BS and going back and forth. I went back, and I ask if she could return my 40-50? dollars and she says no, because they did the work. Personally, I feel like someone was trying to salvage parts they could probably use on another job later...but what would I know, right? Told them keep the parts, which she put in a ziplock bag (I guess she expected me to put it back together myself), and they would hear from action line. Was so tired of all the BS, I didn't have the energy to seek help. So, I just bought my son a new phone. Now, months later, I come across them on Yelp and find the perfect place to share my experience. read more
