She's also very proud and stubborn sometimes, so she didn't ask for help until she was almost failing the quarter. With one day before her end of quarter exam, she finally asked me to find a tutor for her. I found Lance here on Yelp and he was able to fit her in for a last minute lesson. My daughter was being very timid on our way to meet him, and I could tell she was having a major confidence issue since school generally comes easy for her. We met Lance, and they got right to work as I sat at a nearby table to give them space, even though I'm pretty protective of my baby around strangers. After the hour was up, I saw the confidence back in my little girl's eyes again, and she was all smiles and compliments as we talked about how she liked Lance, and how the lesson went. She said she really likes him, and that he took the time to explain everything in detail. She also said he made the lesson really fun, and that it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it was going to be. She was pretty stoked about the composition book he gave her with all of their notes and sample equations in it from her lesson. We will definitely be coming back, Lance really did a great job.
