We were at the restaurant an hour and they asked us to move to a different table because they needed to accommodate a party of 10. We had completed our meal but we're going to have desert so we accommodated the request begrudgingly. So we had desert and coffee and they came over and asked us to move again because they had 300 reservations (like our reservation did not count). They asked us to go the bar and have desert and drink. Not realizing we had desert already. We got irate and the boss came over and told us we did not have to move. What a horrible way to treat people on Mother's Day. ( this is one I will never forget). Saturday night my husband and I we had dinner with our friends here. The place was recommended to us by other close friends who often come to this restaurant. The food was a pleasant discovery *delicious* , the waitress service was exceptional, but after all these good things we must also say that what ruined us in this beautiful evening was a brunette girl with a tail (maybe the helper) I don't know...!!! all the times she came over at the table she only combined disasters...!!! example; spilling water outside while falling the glass. After having finished our main course, which I had (Bistecca Salernitana " R" ), at the time of cleaning she came to help and she spilled all the liquid leftover from the stack on the table, on my pants and my shoulder. She left without even apologizing or trying to remedy the damage.!!! That made me very upset. But the worst thing was, when we saw here coming with coffees, without even the tray and with the sugar under the armpits was the must disgusting thing ever...!!!! Honestly we had the disgust of drinking that coffee, just thinking how hot that night was and how much a person could sweat. Conclusion: I would say that, this restaurant needs a manager, because I don't believe it they have one, otherwise it would be a shame to let this happen...!!! Very disappointed. Restaurant was very noisy I felt like I was at a football game. They served bread reluctantly with two pieces of Focaccia and when we asked for more they said they ran out of it. The manager explained that the bus people gave people too many pieces and it was only 8:30 PM. Then we had a mozzarella roasted pepper appetizer that had three sorry looking pieces of roasted pepper 2 blobs of mozzarella and one Basil leaf which cost around $12. The main course did not include any vegetable any potato just a Porkchop slapped onto a plate for $24. I had a shrimp and cannellini bean appetizer as my main course. The 5 tiny shrimp were tasteless and it was really a bowl of beans for $17. They had a new bus girl there from Milan who had only been working there for two weeks. She told my fellow female diner that she looked like she didn't have too many years on her and that she was very beautiful. My husband said ,"what about my wife !?" and she said with hesitation "she's cute." So not only was the food inferior but the staff was insulting. Pizza was good but the shrimp in my Fagioli was way over cooked almost to the point where I think it was precooked and then warmed up for my meal. We went for lunch and it wasn't busy so no excuses. I was so looking forward to dining here... and so disappointed. Several times I've been to Zero in the Bronx and had excellent meals. Maybe the pizza here is good but we came there for a non-pizza dinner. The food portions were small (especially for the price), the menu was limited (with no flexibility for changes or substitutes), no half portions of pasta, and the food was uninteresting. The branzino was on the menu as a whole fish but served filleted. The server was clumsy and poorly trained. (for example, 2 people were still eating, the waiter came by and asked us if everyone was done so he could clear... was she on a timer!) And when the table was cleared, she reached around to the far side of the table and also caught she shirt on fire. With so many excellent choices in Armonk, I don't think we will be back. read more

I really was skeptical having seen the less-than-stellar responses that the Armonk outpost has been getting so today I was pleasantly surprised. I had been to the other 089s including the Manhattan location. Lunch on a Saturday afternoon was perfect. We were seated quickly as there were few tables inside and outside making it a great, calm experience. Other reviewers complained of it being loud and boisterous, but I guess we lucked out. We had our heart set on the antipasto freddo which must be on their dinner menu, because it was not listed on the lunch menu we were given. This was not a problem, as our server was able to get that to us regardless of it not being on the menu during the day. The antipasto had just enough for two people to share, including two generous slices of culatello. While this may not seem very significant, it is for me as I am a huge fan of this delicate salumi. For those that may not know it is the Ferrari of prosciutto and to find it on an antipasto platter is rather rare. The marinated eggplant, sopressats and other items were equally delicious and the cheeses were very comparable to those you'd find in Italy, or at the very least Calandra's Cheese Store on Arthur Avenue. We opted for two pizzas, the salsiccia, provola (smoked mozzarella) and potato and the Capricciosa. They were both perfectly executed-- deliciously salty, a wonderful char and perfect chewy crust. My Aperol Spritz, while shockingly not on the drink menu, was prepared without haste and was pretty spot-on. We finished with what we thought was the absolute star... the dessert. We had the Sogno di Cioccolato and were pleasantly surprised at the moist cake, covered with the most delicious gianduja (hazelnut/chocolate) outside shell. I am so glad we didn't opt for the nutella pizza, as there was no comparison to this wonderful dessert. We plan on returning and I will be dreaming about this meal for many days to come. I am guessing that this place is mainly where you go for pizzas as many of the other negative reviews seem to be about their other dishes. I don't know why you would go to a pizzeria for anything other than pizza...so there you go. read more

Went here for dinner on a Friday night 630pm reservations. When we first got there it wasn't to busy we sat outside as it was a great sunny evening. We ordered pizza and grilled octopus for apps, after we finished we ordered dinner , had the veal osso Bucco special and linguine with clams. By this point the restaurant was busy and moving. However, when we asked our waiter to please inform the people at the table next to us that they were obnoxiously noisy, he was unable to understand us, as it was too NOISY. Went there with the wife and daughter. They don't take reservations. Strike 1. I just don't get that. Three apps ordered: 1) wife had beet and burrata salad. She enjoyed. 2) Daughter had the mini meatballs and polenta. Polenta could not have been homemade. Bland. Unseasoned. And rubbery. 3) I had the shrimp I guess au gratin special. More potato purée than shrimp. Meh. For dinner daughter had nightly special gnocchi which was good. Two pizzas were meh. First was the butternut squash purée with truffle oil pizza. They got to much of the skin and the purée was bitter. I had the pizza with tomato sauce, pancetta and basil. Way too much sauce and so much "pancetta" that it was a sloppy mess. And my meal was awful but I didn't say anything to the others I was with since I didn't want to bring everyone down. Then, at the end of the meal my friend turned to me and said "that was one of the worst meals I ever had". Waiters rarely came over through the meal to see if we needed anything. Really enjoyed Zero Otto Nove. Lived here for almost a year and haven't gotten around to try it. Dinner with the wife. Service was good; they seem to go the extra mile (serve your food to individual plates if you are splitting, serve your first slice of pizza, clean the table, etc). We started with the eggplant/zucchini Parmesan. Very good....a bit heavier than I wanted but what would you expect for for eggplant parm. Then had a Margherita pizza - which was delicious and then split the Seafood Rigatoni special (a bit small and the pasta was not excellent but still very good). Each had 2 drinks (I had 2 decent wines; nice selection by the glass and the wife had 2 orange martinis which she enjoyed). We split the Cannoli which was unique - 2 canolli pancakes with cream in the middle. Gluttonous but delicious. Bill was about $150 for 2 with $50 or so in drinks. Not cheap but not terribly over priced. Anxious to go back. Pizza was very good....slightly better than Fortina's IMHO (who I also love). Nice space; indoor/outdoor. Loud enough and spacious enough so you're not on top of everyone and they can't hear your conversations. Plentiful parking. Very enjoyable. read more

We are owners of Luca Bella restaurant in white plains so we are picky when we eat out...We had the cold antipasto and the grild octopus fantastic light full of flavor.. Then we had the skirt steak and the meat Ragu both outstandinding!!! We sat at the bar and had one of the best service dinning experiences,,, the server bartender Ilian was outstanding and added to the experience the super Tuscan wine selection and good recommendation for food by him was second to none....we will come back to try the pizza etc and the price is right for such high quality!!! Food was delicious! Bread was so fluffy and fresh however it didn't come with any oil/ pepper or butter so we had to ask. For one app we got the seafood salad, the calamari was surprisingly so tender I have no idea how! It was not chewy at all. We also got a side of the cauliflower with breadcrumbs and flavor was good however the cauliflower was over cooked. Over cooked veggies lose all of their nutritional value, plus it was super soft (I like a little crunch). For my main I got the Radiatori in Cartoccio. You can tell the pasta is homemade, comes fresh out of the tinfoil I loved it. Flavor was spot on as well and pasta was cooked perfectly. We didn't like where we sat since it was on the side of the building on a sidewalk towards the dumpsters and very secluded but because of Corona I understand they didn't really have any other choice.
