I'm going rare air here... 5-Star! Everything from the friendly and fast Valet parking to ALL of the staff is FIRST RATE! We recently went here at 6 p.m. on a Sat. night, immediately got parked and seated as soon as we arrived. Of course we had a reservation, but at that time, it could have been a disaster. We had so many people come by our table, I was sure we would have received multiple drinks, a duplicate food order, etc. Nope, just a well oiled 'professional' machine there. Adults too! No kids working there which makes a huge difference if you're spending a little money. So the menu was outstanding! Incredibly authentic, very generously portioned Italian dishes! Check it out for yourself online before going, but between their Specials and their regular offerings, you're going to be pleased! Loved the fact we didn't have to ask for fresh crushed peppercorn as they came without asking, and even remembered to bring the crushed red pepper I had requested (which was actually hot!)! You will pay a little more for some items here but some items are surprisingly less than what you'd expect. Overall, I thought the value was quite equal to the experience! They did get us on the wine though -- took a hit on that. Will definitely return the next time we want to drive somewhere or in Port Chester. read more

If you like cheap Italian food loaded with way too much cheese and sauce, this is the place for you. We found the food to be barely edible, the broccoli was pure mush, there was so much mozzerella cheese on the pasta dish, my granddaughter choked on it. We sat outside and swatted bees for the entire dinner. The music is loud. Honestly, the only nice thing I can say about the place is if you want leftovers, you'll have them because the portions are very large. Not very good, but very large. Had dinner with friends here. Everything was fabulous. To start, I had the stuffed artichoke which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was huge and equally tasty. For entrées, we ordered chicken franchise, a seafood special, and chicken Sorrentino. Chicken was extremely tender and portions were very large. The seafood was fresh and amazing! My daughter was able to get a last minute reservation yesterday on Mother's day the food was SO delicious I wanted to lick the plate but didn't because I want to come back! The staff was very accommodating and service was outstanding considering it was a packed house. The ambiance was perfect families celebrating mothers day someone at one of the tables even read a passage from the bible to his family it was a lovely moment. All in all I would give this place TEN stars if it where possible! Ps we had the stuffed blue crab ravioli, shrimp & scallops and the lasagna ALL where delicious!!! The place is very nice. The Devore isn't extraordinary, but it has a comfortable feel. It was chilly inside and they had a heater going in the middle of the restaurant. Something was wrong with the heater. We got the baked clams for an appetizer and they were delicious. For our entrees, we got the filet mignon and the OssoBuco Both were done perfectly. Dessert we got an order of hazelnut gelato. We also got some espresso and cappuccino. Over all it was a lovely dinner. read more

Old school NY Italian where all the tables are taken up by regulars (I dined as an out of town guest). Food was delicious - the red tomato sauce on our pasta was... you could never replicate it. The pasta was home made - perfect al dente. Had great wine specials. I give a four only because service seemed pressed and we waited on a few things. I totally recommend the restaurant, not least of which is the complimentary valet driver who juggles 30 cars in a .20 acre space if that - he is amazing and if you don't care at all about food then this place is worth the visit if only to see him in action! 5 stars for you my Sir! read more

I really thought this was a great restaurant. Firstly I loved. The ambience. Secondly they made a GREAT Cosmo The waiter was so professional and very nice and nothing we requested was a problem. My Grandson ordered gnocchi Alfredo that was to heavy for him and the waiter without any attitude switched it to Marinara sauce. It was our fault for ordering Alfredo but he made it seamless. The shrimp dish my daughter had was incredible as was my filet of sole. Both served piping hot and the accompanying vegetables were hot and fresh. Great overall dining experience. We came in on a busy Sunday evening and the staff were more than capable of handling the rush. We were promptly greeted and seated . They offer a large list of specials that I was tempted to order, but I went with a classic favorite of mine the chicken cutlet parmigiana. And I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had, huge portion and perfectly cooked. I had the rice pudding for desert which is another favorite of mine and they nailed it. This is a great place for date night, family dinner, or a celebration as they have a side room to accommodate bigger party's. next time I'm craving Italian food, I'll be going back to Pasquale's. read more

I chose this place for a special family event because of some of the great reviews, but looking back, I guess I should have realized that a restaurant that has been around so long, should have had many more reviews than were posted. I hate to be critical, and I suppose many others felt the same and perhaps just decided not to leave a negative review, but it was a disappointing experience. On the plus side, the dining room is beautifully decorated, and the tables situated far enough apart from each other, making privacy and the ability to communicate with your party comfortable and pleasant. On the negative, both the food and the waitstaff service could use some improvements. The pasta is boxed (not homemeade as indicated) and overcooked well beyond al dente. The side vegetables seemed boiled (not steamed) and although not overcooked, were lacking in flavor and texture. They were also not drained well, so they sat in a puddle of water in their plates. Both are an easy fix in the kitchen. As for the other entrees, I might suggest not saturating them in such a heavy sauce. The fish was quite overcooked and drowning in a sauce far too heavy for a white fish, leaving it quite undesirable. The breaded veal was soggy. The sauce was good, but overwhelmed each dish. As for dessert, the Italian cheesecake was rich and had a lovely citrus flavor, but the chocolate cake was heavy, very dry, and tasted like a frozen box cake that had been thawed out a few days ago. For $8.00, the tiny slice would have been a disappointment had it tasted better. In addition to the aforementioned comments, my suggestions for improving the diner's experience would be as follows: have the waitstaff replace bread baskets as necessary, slice through the loaf entirely so people do not need to handle the bread to separate the slices, and have the waiter speak to the customers about the specials, rather than posting a messy whiteboard at the table and walking away. Most of us at the table could not read the board at such a distance. Also, since you have a vast selection of wines, why not offer a wine menu? We were told there wasn't one, which makes it awkward to know what the choices were or what the cost would be. read more

We had our first dinner out since March aand had a really nice meal. We chose to sit inside and avoid the heat and was happy to see that tables were quite spread apart. Each of us ordered different appetizers and main courses and they were very well prepared and served. The staff is very friendly, but that being said I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food tasted like a teenager, who was first learning how to cook, prepared it. No one enjoyed their meal the night we went. We started off by ordering minestrone soup and New England clam chowder. The minestrone soup was very insipid as if they only added teaspoons of tomato sauce to boiling water. There was no pasta in the soup which is fine, but the vegetables were not even tender. It was obvious that the cooks had just tossed in frozen diced vegetables into the soup. The clam chowder was also very watery as if they mixed leftover chowder with milk. First clam chowder I've ever seen that was not thick and creamy. The fried calamari were average at best. My chicken francese was a little too acidic and the side of fried potato slices had potential, however they were clearly not fresh when brought to the table. Some were still crispy, but most of them were soggy like stale french fries. Other entrees served to our table were lobster and shrimp, pasta carbonera and stuffed peppers. I remember someone commenting on how rubbery the lobster was. The side order of string beans, brought our table to laughter because they looked like something out of a middle school cafeteria. Again, they were probably frozen string beans that the cooks just threw into the microwave and had left on the counter for a couple of minutes. For what it's worth the day that I went to the restaurant it was mostly occupied by elderly diners. Considering that the restaurant has a banquet hall and valet parking, the food couldn't even hold a candle to a pizzeria. read more

I love when I go in there and the owner Frank is there because he always knows exactly what I want and exactly how I like it. Every time I walk in there I feel like I'm at home. Have gone to Pasquale's previously and very good, however this visit was a dissapointment. Seated in side room even though the restaraunt was not full and not as nice as the main room. Meatball appetizer was excellent. However the Cassalinga special was poor. The sauce was very bland and the ;obster tail in the pasta were tiny and overcooked. The shrimp in the other dish were not jumbo as listed but medium. Also charged $4.00 for 3 small biscotti for a table of four. read more

Recommended from a friend. Great meal for our last night in NY. The staff accommodated our large party of 28 beautifully. Everyone's meal was served hot and at the same time, a rare feat for such a large party. From the valet guy to all the waiters and servers, the staff was on point. Menu was overwhelming. Came here last Friday for dinner with a couple friends. The food was delicious so I could easily overlook the dated decor and uninspired plating. I also didn't mind the sloppy handwritten specials board they plonked down on a chair at our table like it was about to dine with us. I was even amused by the curious three tined fork I received with dinner. However I can't get past something our waiter did that is unacceptable. My friend asked for more bread for the table. There was one slice left in the basket, attached to a bigger chunk of crust leftover from what people had taken already. Instead of simply taking away the basket and bringing a new one, he actually picked up the remaining slice with his bare hands, tore it off the chunk of crust, and placed it on my friend's plate before taking the basket away. What kind of place is this that their waitstaff think its ok to handle customers' food with their bare hands. It makes me wonder about their kitchen practices. I wanted to give this place more stars because it has that real "been here forever" feel, but I am too disgusted to return. =( read more
