Stopped in for a couple slices before flying out of Westchester. Good size typical NY slice, nothing outstanding but nothing bad either, hit the spot. Service was efficient. Inside was standard pizzeria decor. Would recommend, bring cash.

I was driving to this town in Armock and I decided to walk in this pizzeria. At first sight as you walk in you can see that it's a very nice and very clean place. It a great place for family to sit and eat together. What I really enjoyed is that even tho it's a pizzeria you have a good selection of food. I would recommend this place if you are in the area and also they have beer.

Great service, amazing workers, and most of all delicious food. Some of the best food I ever had and I grew up in NY.

It's awesome that I work right next to this delicious pizza shop. I tried the penne vodka pizza and it was really good! Maytha

one of the top pizza spots in westchester. their square…read moredetroit style pizzas and their regular slices are all good. I think my favorite might be the 3 color (pesto, vodka, and... something else), regular cheese, and the grandma's slice. can't really go wrong though. crust has the right crisp and chew and the flavors are great. highly recommend stopping by!

I have been meaning to check out this pizzeria for months based on all the Yelp reviews. I finally…read morestopped in today. First of all, I really couldn't decide what I wanted with all the beautiful looking pizzas in the display case. I decided on the Triple Grandma, even though I'm not a big fan of Pesto sauce. The pie is a traditional Grandma with three sauces: Traditional Pizza Sauce, Vodka Sauce, and Pesto. The sauce is arranged beautifully in diagonal stripes, which adds to the appetizing aroma. The beautiful aroma was wafting through the car as I drove home, only making me more hungry. Hot home, opened the box to reveal this thing of beauty. Now, if it only tastes as good as it looks... Wow! Absolutely fantastic! I asked the owner to make it well done and the undercarriage was just the way I like it. Crunchy, the perfect chewiness, the dough is made dense enough to hold up to the wet and heavy topping. Perfectly constructed Grandma pie . I had a nice conversation with the owner. Very cool guy. I will be going back to try all the other pies (and there are many). You can probably eat there every day and not have the same thing for a month. My next selection will be one of the Detroit style pies. They looked delicious. Finally, a great pizzeria in Westchester. We've been deprived of a top quality version of this popular "American" staple for far too long. There are a few that straddle the line between good and great in these parts, but in my opinion, none I have tried have made it over the line until today. Go check out Pizza Fenice. You won't be disappointed.

Fortina - Spicy Meatball Pizza with fontina, calabrian chili, onion, and vodka sauce

Fortina is another restaurant that we discovered primarily because they're dog friendly: They have…read moreoutdoor seating on the patio in nice weather, and many servers genuinely like dogs. Dog-friendliness got us in, but it has been both that and the food that kept us going back, a few times a year for at least six years. We've always found Fortina to be likable at a minimum and often very good. The food can be of variable quality depending on who's at the helm of the wood-fired oven operations (if you can forgive me the mixed metaphors: I know ovens don't have helms. ;). On this past visit, we ordered two pizzas, a salad, and a number of vegetable sides to share: THE BEET SALAD (beets, watercress, lemon, robiolina, almonds, poppy seed; $16) was made with extremely acidic beets -- probably a bit too acidic for our tastes and we do enjoy acid. (I think the beets had been pickled for a long while in undiluted white vinegar and were quite harsh as a result.) They would've paired very nicely with the fresh, slightly bitter watercress, crisp almonds and creamy Robiolina-based dressing had they not been so intensely and uni-dimensionally vinegary. The WOOD FIRED CAULIFLOWER (goddess dressing, chili crisp; $14) and BRUSSELS SPROUTS BRAVAS (spicy marinara, Calabrian mayo, Espelette, parm; $16) were both overdressed with creamy dressings, which overwhelmed these dishes. The cauliflower could've used a bit more time in the wood-fired oven. WOOD FIRED BROCCOLI RABE (garlic, chili flakes, lemon; $12) was simply and pleasantly dressed (read: NOT overdressed), but were more stemmy and tough than ideal. Tenderoni pizza (pepperoni, fresh mozz, parm, calabrian chili-honey; $20) and Spicy Meatball Pizza (Fontina, Calabrian chili, onion, vodka sauce; $20) were made with excellent dough, but the pizzas were underbaked and as a result, the dough was a little too wet in the center. (I know fans of original Neapolitan style pizza go for this, but we prefer the non-soggy NeOpolitan style that Fortina has always served in the past. Toppings were in good balance and flavorful, though, the dough a perfect balance of glutinous and tender. An Up in Smoke Cocktail (mezcal, tequila blanco, lime, chili honey) was delicious, not too wimpy, but perhaps spendy for the area ($17). We alternate between Meraki and Fortina every time we pass through Armonk. I personally have a hard time passing up the excellent and authentic, well-priced Greek food and lovely servers at Meraki. But sometimes the rest of the Fambly just needs to get their pizza fix, so I'm sure we'll be back!

This was my first time at Fortina, and unfortunately it will also be my last…read more The only highlight of the night was our server, John who was genuinely amazing -- attentive, friendly, and did his best to make the experience enjoyable. That said, the food and drinks were a major disappointment. The drinks were underwhelming, the arancini and pasta arrived cold, and parts of our order were not prepared correctly. For a place with this reputation, the execution just wasn't there. I appreciate John's great service, but overall the quality of the food did not meet expectations, and I wouldn't return.
