They went ahead and billed us for one of the locations anyway. When I complained, they told me they were sorry and they had processed a refund for the improper billing. But, they said it would take a week for it to show up in my bank account. Two weeks later, I still do not have the refund they promised for the unauthorized charging of our card. Today, I talked to a representative, who claimed they could not process the refund until they had received their equipment back. This, ladies and gentlemen, is theft. They stole money from our account and are holding it hostage until we return the equipment. We have it packed up and ready to go, though it took some doing to get some of their equipment off the roof. And we will send it back. But I would never recommend this company.

I complained that because they gave me bad info, I have to invest in additional equipment (sync module, echo show, and new router. From what I've been reading on the forums. It doesn't play well with the xfinity router). He told me they weren't charging me for the security equipment or installation so I let it go. I find out today, they actually are and they basically tell me there is nothing they will do. Sso much for their "satisfaction garauntee". Maybe I'll keep it. If I pull it out, I'll let you know how it goes. Just be careful when you talk to these them. I've been getting bad information. They might wonder why I never stick around for their surveys. It's because it sometimes takes a week or so before you find out the customer service agent didn't do what they told you they did. FYI: The system itself works OK for what it's supposed to do. I just wish their people were knowledgable enough to have told me what it was supposed to do instead of telling me what I "wanted to hear".

Huge packet loss numbers (30+%) and pathetic speeds were my main issues. UPDATE TO MY YELP REVIEW FROM SEPTEMBER 18, 2026…read more This is an update to my September 18, 2026 Yelp review regarding my experience with the Verizon store at 810 W. North Avenue in Chicago. Unfortunately, additional issues have occurred since I posted my original review. I was a Verizon customer for about seven years. On September 12, I went to this store to pick up a Samsung Galaxy A17 5G that I had already ordered. I had no intention of leaving Verizon. I simply wanted to pick up my phone and continue my service. Instead, Alex tried to upsell me to a more expensive Samsung phone. My wife, my two young grandsons and I ended up spending about an hour and 15 minutes in the store. When my wife became frustrated and said we would go to T-Mobile, Alex handed me the A17 and told me, in substance, that if I wanted to return it, that Verizon store couldn't take it back. We went to T-Mobile, where I ended up getting the same A17 on my wife's family plan. I later returned to Verizon for my account number and transfer PIN. Assistant Manager Brandon Aguilera was professional and helpful in person and accepted the phone back without a problem, which contradicted what Alex had told me. However, Brandon gave me the wrong account number. I had to return to the store again, and he gave me the wrong number a second time. I finally asked to look at the information myself, recognized the mistake and got the correct number. On September 18, I emailed Store Manager Erica Valdez and Brandon a written complaint explaining what happened. Neither one responded. Then something else happened that I believe deserves an explanation. On September 14, Verizon refunded the $27.62 I had paid. On September 18, I submitted my written complaint. On September 22, I received notice that my $27.62 refund was being returned to the merchant. I'm not saying my complaint caused the refund to be reversed because I don't know that. I'm simply stating the order in which these things happened. I believe Verizon should explain why a refund that had already been issued was later returned to the merchant. I called the store on September 22 at about 5:13 p.m. and spoke with Brandon. He initially said he didn't know about the situation, but after I explained more, he remembered it. When I asked about my $27.62, Brandon told me there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call Verizon. I told him that this was exactly my problem. I keep having to spend more of my time trying to straighten out something that should have been simple. When I told him that I would be filing formal complaints with the appropriate consumer-protection agencies, he hung up on me. I'm a U.S. Army veteran, full-time college student and senior citizen. My time and my money have value. I've made multiple trips to this store, made phone calls, sent emails that weren't answered, dealt with incorrect account information twice, and now I'm trying to resolve a $27.62 refund that I had already received. All of this continues to cost me time and money. What makes this especially disappointing is that I walked into that store wanting to remain a Verizon customer. After about seven years with Verizon, I left for T-Mobile that same day. Because of my experience at the 810 W. North Avenue location and what has happened since, I am submitting formal complaints and supporting documentation to Verizon Corporate and executive leadership, the Illinois Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Yelp readers can also view my original September 18, 2026 Yelp review/complaint for more details about what happened during the original incident. I'm posting this update so people can see what has happened since my September 18 review, look at the timeline and come to their own conclusions about my experience with this Verizon location.

From start to finish, the entire experience installing my Samsung Frame TV was flawless. Scheduling was seamless, communication was prompt and professional, and they arrived exactly on time--even giving me a courtesy call 30 minutes beforehand. The installation itself was next-level. Stefan was extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in his work. He took the time to ensure everything was perfectly aligned, secure, and clean. I especially appreciated his patience--he walked us through different height options and gave thoughtful recommendations. We even changed our minds during the measuring stage, and he happily showed us the new dimensions again and was very accommodating. He was quick and knew what he was doing, didn't need frame template. What really stood out was the attention to detail. I've never had an installer go the extra mile like this--Stefan and his partner spent time thoroughly cleaning the TV screen and even wiped down the console area. They didn't rush anything and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The quality of work, professionalism, and overall experience exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for TV mounting, Stefan is absolutely my new go-to. I'll be recommending HDInstalls to all my friends and family without hesitation--and will definitely be using them again!
