Firs time at this location. Upon arrival they were very polite. Place looks clean and well kept and signs located within eyes view. I was instructed to sanitize my hands upon sitting. I was attended by Nimi or Nini of what I wanted done with my FULLY grown out eyebrows. She seemed to understand my request. She left the 1st eyebrow she started with shorter than the 2nd eyebrow. Very picky when it comes to my eyebrows as I've only ever had three people touch them, both Nimi and Sangita are amazing with the thread and precision of the eyebrow. They accommodate your natural shape and don't over do it. They both have a very easy hand, I have never left this eyebrow place with sore eyebrows unlike other nearby shops. My eyebrows have never been tugged, pulled, or skin cut with the thread. They keep their areas and establishment fresh and clean. They have plenty of customers but the wait time is never more than 10 minutes. Very friendly environment and exceptional customer service. 10/10 recommend this place to friends and family. read more

This place is the absolute best! I used to go to one place for over ten + years but when I discovered this place this year, I've never been back to the other place, nor I ever will. the other place turned into a chain and their work was a hit or miss type of thing. Anyways so... Last Thursday I got out of work late so I was running late to get here. I called and asked if they'd be willing to stay 5 minutes after 7 PM and not only did they help me out with this, the lady who did my eyebrows and upper lip took her time and as ALWAYS did a wonderful job. I explained to them how my office holiday party was the next day and I really wanted to look my best. They do such a clean job I didn't want to do it myself and mess up the shape. My first visit was on a weekday afternoon on warm day in January. I was the only person when I walked in so I was treated immediately, I did have to sign in however, and noticed a few others had signed in before me. As much as I love trying new places I'm typically reluctant in this shopping center because nothing lasts very long. The threader did a great job but I feel that I need to go at least once or twice more to give a true review on a new beauty business because, well, you never know if your great service was due to it being new or if it was genuinely good service. So stay posted for an update. Now to the review: It's a small location, with about 2-3 stations (no one else was there, just the one woman and I didn't catch her name, sorry). Being that it was pretty warm outside I was hoping they'd have the A/C on but they didn't. So maybe they're electric-conscious, I don't know but I was hot. The woman had gentle hands, so gentle she didn't leave any nicks on my eyebrows. The price was GREAT only $5 for eyebrows and $3 for upper lip. I didn't ask for other prices but I'll update with more deets soon enough. I paid cash and don't remember if they offer credit card acceptance (another thing to mention in the update). The woman was very nice and offered a frequent threader card, so after 10 or so threadings, you get one free. I will definitely be back and let you know how it goes. It's right next door to Maywood Nails so I hope they get good business from the foot traffic. Big parking lot although you may not find parking right in front because there are so many businesses in this shopping center. read more

Recently moved out here in Bell and was in need of a brow clean up. I'm very hesitant on trying new threading places but since my go-to is a little further now, I turned to yelp for help. Zena was one out of two places I was willing to check out. Decided to go with Zena since it's super close by. On their door and yelp, it's listed that they open at 10:30. I arrived at 10:35 and the place is empty and locked. I decided to wait a while more, in case they were running late. It's 10:50 and still nothing! I even called but no answer either. I've been coming to Zena Threading for 7+ years NIMI is my favorite gal, she's so gentle and knows just how to clean up and keep my natural brow shape. I started coming here because they were the best priced in my area and continue to be! I've tried going to other places but I'm not as satisfied with the service or my brows. At first I was super excited to have this place super close to work and after reading everyone else's review and the fact that all I read were positive reviews, I was definitely looking forward to giving this place a shot. I sat in the chair super excited since it's been a while that I've had my eyebrows threaded. As soon as she begins with the process it begins to hurt so I took the pain like a grown @ss woman. Not even 5 mins later she tells me that she's done. She did not get the tweezers to take off any left over hair, no "oil" used to sooth the redness and to top it off, my eyebrows were uneven! Unfortunately I did not notice this at that moment since my eyes were so damn watery. I'm definitely not going back. I tried fixing my eyebrows on my own but it's still a little noticeable. So I work in this area..approx like 2 mins away and I noticed that this threading salon had just opened. I was very hesitant to walk in since I have never tried threading. I decided to try it out since I was on my break and my eyebrows desperately needed a cleaning. The salon is right next door to Maywood Nails, in the plaza where the Subway, Yoshinoya, and Western Dental is at. The salon is beautiful when you walk in. I love that that the walls are painted in different colors and the chairs in the waiting area are so fancy and comfortable. It has 3 stations to get the services done. I have been here so far three times and I have loved every experience. I love the fact that as soon as you walk in you are greeted so you don't feel like your being ignored when you walk in. She has a sign up sheet which is great because then she can know who came in first. The eyebrow threading is wonderful! She has patience and is very gentle. My friends would always tell me that threading hurts so I was surprised that it doesn't hurt at all. I believe waxing hurts more in my opinion. I love that she's fast and knows what she's doing also. I love that everytime I go she leaves my eyebrows look like a celebrity. The eyebrow threading is $5.00 Lip Thread- $3.00 I believe she also offers in the threading the underarms, forehead, neck, sides too and also does Henna Tattoos, which is pretty cool. She does accept credit cards, but charges $0.85 fee to use it. So it would be better to bring cash! She has a frequent eyebrow threading card, so once you get 10 eyebrow threadings done, you get a free one which is pretty cool. (I'm on number 3) Almost there! (: If I could give this place 10 stars I would, but since Yelp only allows me to give 5 stars, so I guess I have to settle with that. lol If you are ever in this area or need a good eyebrow threading, def. check this place out. Finally found a place that does my eyebrows the way that I like them!! I got them done by a young girl I believe she said her name was Henna? She was very quick and i felt that she knew what she was doing. Some people are too gentle, too slow and give you the feeling that they don't know what they're doing. The cost is great, $5! It's really hard for people to get a tip out of me but this time was a must. They also offer a stamp card for every eyebrow thread. Acumulate 10, get one free. Definitely recommend! read more
