They have amazing bacon, eggs, and of course bagels. If you ever get a chance come by and try it out. The only thing I wish they had was more "Zeitmans" shirts or stickers. This place is my heaven. If I'm having a bad day... I go to Zeitman's. Food is amazing and staff is even better. Everyone is so nice and kind. I'm going to miss this place when I move back home. Very cute place. I tried a sample of their daily bread and ended up buying half a loaf. I also ordered the Richie Rich bagel sandwich on a plain bagel. It was delicious, large portions, so I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for later. My friend got the Israeli which she said was spicy but very good. I'll update this review after I actually eat here, but I wanted to at least post about the vibe and how helpful and responsive the staff are. I frequent the Brazos Valley Farmers Market most Saturdays, and this weekend was no different. I was looking for a recommendation for where to find Baguettes locally (other than Panera or the other fast food bread place.) The tamale guy and the pastry guy both said to check out Zeitman's. They said if anyone could do them well, it' be there. I walked down and checked out the new grocery/deli/shop, and it was hopping at lunch time on a Saturday. It smelled amazing! Bagels, sandwiches, pizzas all coming out hot. They had some of their sweet breads and cinnamon rolls out for sampling. There was a great variety of flours, staples, spreads, salads and baked goods to take home. I asked the girl at the bakery counter about baguettes, and she said there wasn't a regular bread schedule, but suggested calling or stopping by in the morning hours when the bakers were here. I reached out on FB messenger to see if there was a baking schedule or rotation for breads, and got a very prompt reply. They said there isn't but that they have the starter and would love to make a batch and hold some aside for me! Yayyyy!!! (And y'all are welcome to enjoy the extras!) They've made me fall in love with bagels- their everything bagel is wonderful! The amount of bacon on the breakfast bagel is impressive too. I'm also in love with their black and white cookies, which are huge! My only complaint is it's such a tight space and the weekend morning rush makes for a mess. I've only been twice since I live in Houston but my beef is why weren't they opened when I was in college?! This place is carb heaven: barberry bread, banana bread, and bagels on bagels to name a few things. The Richie Rich bacon egg and cheese is unreal... Literally save the bacon for another meal or breakfast. Worth every penny there's also crack in the cream cheese you can buy tubs of to take home. With my lunch timer on and my stomach growling I came across a very busy bagel/deli shop. Prior to going in I asked 2 patrons if it was good and was informed they were very busy which seemed to be a good sign but it was their first time there. Upon entering I saw what appeared to be a well running deli with a variety of sandwich options and many customers waiting for orders. I didn't order off their sandwich selection board but instead kept it simple ordering a turkey & mortadella with everything on a hoagie type roll. SIMPLE RIGHT? First I watched the customers that'd been waiting leave then a new group arrived and left whereas I asked the guy making sandwiches if mine was coming soon? It was at that moment that I was approached by the female sandwich maker with the ticket in hand asking me what it said. I explained it was turkey and mortadella with everything and I'd been waiting for over 25 minutes. I was given the respectful were busy but that didn't coincide with her not being able to decipher the ticket? Approximately 5 minutes later I got my meal and I honestly would not of cared "One iota" about the prior glitch if my sandwich hadn't looked like it went thru a washers spin cycle! First off I thought the turkey was VERY SALTY and the mortadella was not real Italian Mortadella but some sort of saltier cousin. The lettuce was placed over the top of the sandwich, NONE INSIDE, a small amount of mayo and an even smaller schmear of mustard was observed. What I really wish was I'd taken a picture of the sandwich before tossing it as there were 2 TINY peices of red onion and what killed me was the tomatoes! Their idea of 2 slices of tomatoes were literally the very tops of the tomato at the vine and were as thin as if cut by a mandolin. Whats odd is how does one get the tops of 2 tomatoes? Where'd the other slices go? Is there a tomato shortage I'm not aware of being hidden from the public? So yeah, I REALLY had wanted to of found a deli that was great and if the sandwich was good I'd of shouted it from the rooftops but given my first experience there I'd only say sandwich foodie beware! read more

An east coast deli in Bryan? This they do. The bagels alone had me. The egg bagel will have you thank the chicken, no joke. The lox, very very good, and piled high. The bakery items were all fantastic. Particularly this berry bread. Ill need to check and see if they have a Ruben next time, or maybe Schmaltz or some delightful Gribenes. Texans need to try em. This place can be packed and take quite a while to wait for your sandwich order- expect to wait. The Italian sandwich is now my favorite so far- I've tried the Italian and the cheesesteak but honestly the Italian IS WAY better!!! The cheesesteak was bland, barely any veggies and even the cheese was pretty much unnoticeable. I've had other delicious ones in town so this one was just a letdown in comparison. However there's a lot of great things at this cute local store! Check out the bagels and other baked goods! They have fun samples out too to taste.
