If you're in BCS there's really no better place to go for kolaches - and bonus! It's a chain so there's probably one relatively near you. The smaller ones tend to be better than the larger ones - I think possibly they use a different kind of sausage for the larger kolaches and the taste difference really does change things up a bit. Quick and lovely service as always - Oh College Station, the memories and feels.

This is supposed to be a ham & cheese kolache. Where's the ham & cheese? It's bread & tiny squares of something.

What has happened here? Possibly a change of ownership? This was a pathetic excuse for a ham and cheese ANYTHING! No longer would recommend this place. Now I see why they closed the store on Texas Ave. No one will pay for this crap.

Very good and quick breakfast. Happy to be able to eat at the restaurant instead of in my truck.

Very good fruit kolaches and cream cheese kolaches. No one makes them as good as GM did but these are pretty good.

Kopaches among the best I've had in my life, and beyond reasonably priced. Only complaint is that they could be hotter.

Waitress was extremely rude and continuously left in the middle of serving us. Food was mediocre at best and left a bad aftertaste.

Today is Sunday of memorial weekend and surprising there was only 2 tables so super slow but we…read moreordered a regular (they have a snack, regular and large version) chicken and waffles with the aoli sauce and side of syrup. The perfect amount if you want to split something and not be overloaded after. Chicken was so hot and fresh and the waffle was perfect. Clean environment, nice staff, and always so good.

I finally tried Mess Waffles in College Station after hearing so much about it, and overall I'd…read moregive it about a 7.5/10. I ordered the Upcluck and Away mac and cheese, plus a snack portion of the chicken and waffles with the maple aioli sauce. The food was definitely the highlight. The mac and cheese was really good, and that maple aioli sauce on the chicken and waffles was so good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were decent for what I ordered. I also got the banana brûlée matcha. It was good, but the matcha itself didn't taste ceremonial grade. It had a slightly chalky texture that took away from it a bit. One downside was the wait. I stood in line for about 30 minutes, which was longer than expected. Overall, the food hits, especially if you're craving something savory and indulgent, but the wait and the drink quality keep it from being a higher rating for me. I'd still come back, just maybe at a less busy time, so not the weekends at all!

UPDATE-- Upon having spoken with management and the owner of this particular Sweet Paris…read morerestaurant, an effort was made to prepare for me a French omelette which closer aligns with my desired doneness. The conclusion, in brief, is that cooking such an omelette is not entirely possible given the structure of the kitchen. That said, I stand by my claim that their eggs are perhaps the opposite of "French-style" (which demands a low-and-slow cook), and should be avoided IF you are expecting a creamy dish of slow cooked French eggs. If you don't care about French-style, however, then the eggs are certainly okay. Leagues above what you'd get at a place such as Denny's, but definitely below Mess Waffles (scrambled eggs), Toasted Yolk, Broken Egg Cafe, and First Watch for my personal liking. Being that the centerpiece of this restaurant is its crêpes, and having witnessed a dramatic improvement in the stiffness of the crêpes in recent visits, I will bump my originally harsh 2 star review up to 4 stars. It's a quality restaurant if you're looking for a high quality crêpe (albeit the fillings are occasionally a little too cold for my liking). Yes, the store offered me a $30 coupon; no, this has not influenced the change in my review score. As a very picky and stingy restaurant goer, I only give positive reviews to places worth the money and time. Sweet Paris is the best place to go for a crêpe in all of College Station, hands down.
