David Han is a magician. Not the kind who dazzles you with card tricks or saws his lovely assistant in half. No, not at all. David's the kind of magic man who can take a 15-year-old suit of clothes that no longer fits as it once did (in my case, a dark pinstripe jacket and slacks) and transform it into a newly tailored set of threads that fits perfectly and actually made me feel handsome. How he did this is beyond me but probably involved a magic wand of some sort. I cannot recommend Zeglio Custom Clothiers on Broadway in Lake View highly enough. And David gets a solid 11 out of 10. read more

If you're looking to purchase a tuxedo or a new suit, I highly recommend Zeglio Custom Clothiers. Their prices are extremely reasonable--especially when you put into account the craftsmanship you'll be getting--and their products are made specifically to you!! I found Zeglio by accident years ago when I needed to get a cheap tuxedo altered for my sister's wedding. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted by Richard. He happily suggested a nearby place for alterations, but before I left, he put one of Zeglio's bespoke jackets on me to show me the difference in fit. When I left that day, I knew I wanted to have my wedding tuxedo created by these people. When that day finally came, I called Zeglio's Lakeview location to begin the process. My call was warmly answered by Richard and the experience began. Richard is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable designer. During the design portion, he was informative, patient, and considerate, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. I did my fitting and alterations at Zeglio's store in Loop. The place is super slick inside and the tailors really make you feel important: from the professionalism all the way to the small details most people would overlook, but makes a HUGE difference (suggesting I have the length of one of my shirt sleeves shorter than the other so my watch can be visible or altering the length of my pants so my socks show when I'm sitting down). Just an amazing attention to detail! My tuxedo only required a few minor adjustments. When I finally put everything on I was shocked at how flawless everything felt--I've never worn anything that has fit me so perfectly. This tuxedo made my wedding experience so much better. I wasn't nervous because I knew I looked good! It's amazing how your confidence is affected by the clothing you wear in a situation. read more

LOVE this place. I came here a few months ago to get a custom suit for my wedding. I worked with Richard and David who were both amazing and easy to work with. I was expecting a super sales-y high-pressure process but it was the total opposite. Aside from literally two optional upgrades that bump up the cost $20 or so, the price of your suit is solely dictated on whatever type of fabric you choose. That's it. They don't try to upsell you at all which was very appreciated. They're very easy to work with, highly detail-oriented, and on time as far as when your suit will be done. Overall it was an incredible experience and I loved customizing my suit from the ground up without having to pay an arm and a leg. I'm already planning on coming back to replace my $150 ASOS and H&M suits! read more

David is great: high attention to detail, helpful, and down to earth. Not inexpensive, but I prefer Zeglio's whole experience and service over others. I've gotten a custom suit done, a shirt, along with various other adjustments on other items I have and I feel great in them. read more

I got my suit for my wedding made by David and Zeglio and I would definitely recommend going here. I have never done a bespoke suit (or custom clothing in any way), and Zeglio made me realize it's not just the end product for my wedding that was important, it was the entire experience. I was a bit intimidated by the first design meeting, but Richard quickly put me at ease and led me through over an hour of designing every part of the suit. I never expected to enjoy this process as much as I did, and I give Richard all the credit for that. When finished, he gave me his contact information and encouraged me to reach out to him for feedback on shoes, ties and future clothing. Jake and his assistant led me through my next visit, a fitting that felt both efficient and thorough. He was nice and professional, and I walked away with total confidence that the suit would turn out well. When my wedding day came, Zeglio did not disappoint. I simply felt great when I put the suit and shirt on. I don't think much more needs to be said about the final product. Zeglio gets my highest recommendation. My only advice is, prior to committing, make sure you have the time to do 3 separate visits to the store (including the final pickup). It's time intensive when travel is included, but it really is worth it! read more

Had a suit made here about 6 months ago - the fitting was quick and precise, turn around time was fast, and the quality of the finished suit is excellent. It has quickly become my favorite and most worn suit - even versus my higher end off the rack pieces. While I can easily vouch for the product, the best part of Zeglio is the customer service. Shout out to Susan and David for going above and beyond. Here's the story: When I got fitted, I told them that I needed a conservative fit, but when I got the suit, I wanted it to be tighter in certain areas. They were able to make the adjustments same day for an event that evening with no hesitations. Talk about clutch. read more

This is a very Late review. I bought a suit for my wedding in 2016 and I had an amazing experience. First Richard ( I believe his name is) was wonderful. He made me feel very comfortable and provided great service. When I went to get fitted the owner himself did all of the measurements. The suit fit like a glove and I looked absolutely amazing in it. I should also mention that I am a woman who wears men's suits. I have attached pictures of my wedding suit and another suit jacket I have purchased so you can see how great the fit is. I will mention I did shop around a bit before my purchase and found I was not only very pleased with the price but the quality as well. read more

Zeglio is my go-to for custom made shirts. Great selection of fabrics, either heavier for winter or lighter and breathable for summer, business or casual. After searching for a shop to get a custom suit, I came across Zeglio. I chose Zeglio based on the reviews that I read on yelp and google. I am glad that I did because the price is great and the suit is even better. Like people says, once you go custom, you will never go back. After got my suit, I ordered 5 more shirts. Richard is very knowledgeable, and doesn't push you to go out of your budget. I was able to know more about suit from him while picking out fabric and the detail for my suit and shirts. Also, take advantage of the yelp gift cert, I was able to save $50. https://youtu.be/-EEji2qgCDg read more

Overview: Nestled in Chicago's leafy Lakeview East neighborhood, Zeglio's unassuming presence on Broadway is a far cry from flashier stores up and down Michigan Avenue. And therein lies the point. Buying a custom suit at Zeglio is akin to the kind of experience to which men in London and Milan have grown accustomed for a long time. By going through the process with Zeglio, you are investing in a relationship with an experienced business who will work with you to build your wardrobe over time, rather than buying a suit from a luxury department store where the brand seems to trump the fit (and often the quality). In the end, over time you should have a "uniform" that speaks not to of-the-moment fashion, but instead demonstrates your subtle attention to every detail. Brand & Approach: As Richard, Zeglio's long-standing brand ambassador (and himself a luxury men's clothing designer) will patiently point out, the Zeglio model is built not on fashion but rather on permanent style. Too many men today are increasingly aware that their clothes should appear more tailored, but they remain unaware of the difference between buying an overly-tight, off-the-rack suit and investing in a suit that is truly "bespoke" (as opposed to a "custom" suit that is off-the-rack with mere alterations). Zeglio is firmly in the latter space, and after you work with the team, you will notice the difference, both in your own clothing and when comparing your suits to others' attire around town. These suits are made specifically for your body and based on thorough measurements taken by an experienced tailor. Process: Working with Zeglio is a two-part process: (i) You will work one-on-one with Richard, who will walk you through the process of buying a fully bespoke suit, from fabrics to color to customization, and (ii) you will return for a fitting with a master tailor, who will ensure that the suit will be cut to match your particular frame and style preferences. Typically, you will then be invited to return when the finished suit arrives in-store for a final fitting assessment. The process can take from 4-6 weeks in total and is well worth the wait. Importantly, once Zeglio has your custom measurements on file, you can rely on those measurements and order your subsequent suits more quickly. Summary: I now live in New York City but I only have one tailor. I have purchased five bespoke suits through them and just ordered my first tuxedo. The quality and hand of the fabric has been consistent across each suit, and I still often get compliments in Manhattan when I am wearing a Zeglio suit around town. I recommend setting up a time to meet with Zeglio, and I hope your experience will be consistent with the one I have had over the past 4 years. read more

David from the beginning to the end, has been a tailor that got my trust right away. This was my first time picking out a customer suit for the wedding. I was so excited that I was just picking everything and anything, however Mr. Han put a lot of things into perspective. I initially wanted a subtle plaid design but asked me if I wanted the wedding suit to be also something that I want to continue to wear for business or for other events. So right away he brought me back to reality. I didn't know how much to think about but he was so professional and helped me from the beginning to the end. From picking out everything to doing some touch up tailoring. I HIGHLY recommend Zeglio Custom Clothiers if you are looking for sharp wedding suits, to everyday business suits. I told him that I will definitely be back for more suits! I'm so thankful that I found this place through all the positive reviews! I too definitely recommend this place! As much as I enjoy puns, I was tired of renting crap from Men's Wearhouse for weddings and decided I should invest in my own for an upcoming wedding. Went to a couple of places and was really impressed by this place. I cannot comment on the relative quality of products as I did not end up ordering anything from anywhere else but as a novice suit buyer the service here really set it apart. Richard Dayhoff was able to provide guidance on fabric, cut and style and present the information and choices in a way that was very clear to people going through the process for the first time. Helped us understand the options and choose the ideal tux for each person. Really cannot say enough about how positive this experience was. read more

Zeglio would be a very good deal if it were simply a place to get custom suits and shirts that fit well. What makes it a fantastic deal - and potentially transformative experience - is Richard. I can honestly say that working with Richard has deeply changed the way that I dress and my sense of style. I assume most people won't have this experience, but I am confident that Richard will steer you well in picking out a new suit or custom shirts. First, let me say that working with Richard means showing up at the shop on Broadway between Monday and Thursday. I STRONGLY recommend doing this. This allows the best of both worlds: you can consult with Richard, and then John will take your measurements on the weekend and you can consult with him as well. John tends to be more terse. He just gives you the books of fabrics to look through and make your own decisions. He's happy with whatever you are happy with. What makes Richard so great is that he has a fantastic eye for men's fashion and what looks good on you. He will probably discuss what colors are good for you given your skin tone, eye color, hair, etc. But what was really key for me is that he helped me articulate and build a sense of my own style. He helped me train my eye, but also helped me think about what I wanted to look like and how to get there. He will function as your personal style consultant, one that will help you pick out the best suit and shirts for you. One last thing. If, for any reason, you want them to take in the clothing after you try it on, they will do so happily. This has been important for me and given me some real peace of mind throughout the process. I've gotten shirts from them three times and one suit. My next suit will definitely come from them as well. And I imagine more shirts are in my future. read more

I started using Zeglio in 2010, when a friend had his groomsmen wear suits from John for his wedding. At the time, I ordered the wedding suit plus one more. They say that once you go custom for suits, you won't go back. This is absolutely true. John's suits fit perfectly, and he has a huge range of fabrics and prices, so he has something for many income levels. A couple years later, I used John for my own wedding, and everyone looked great! And, I've now seen almost 20 people in suits from Zeglio, so I can confidently say that they fit all body types perfectly. John knows how to make people look good. I've had a few suits and shirts made from another tailor since, and they weren't as good. John takes almost twice as many measurements, and is very flexible with options and customizations. He's very up to speed on all the latest fashion trends, but knows the right questions to ask to make sure you're not too far out of your comfort zone. I don't live in Chicago anymore, but still use John regardless. He has my measurements and is more than willing to mail me fabric samples or work via email and phone when I need him to. I love my suits from Zeglio. Highly recommended for a special occassion or regular / professional use. read more

I just got my suit and it was perfect! My tailor's name was John and he was a perfectionist. He knew the current styles and provided me with the best materials. Every part of the suit was so detailed and sharp. My wife saw it today and said it was the most stylish suit I ever owned and to throw away my other suits. I highly recommend buying a suit here rather than Men's Wearhouse/Macys because the suit will be fit to your exact dimensions. You have to check this place out! I feel like a movie star! * I don't think the map on the yelp is correct. Use your own GPS to get there. It's in Lakeview not Edgewater. read more

Short version: A+ experience. Great service, turn around time, and final product. Long version: I wanted to get a jacket made, so I made an appointment with Richard to do so. Richard was patient, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. We started by choosing a fabric, and after that he helped walk me through all the jacket details. He was willing to explain and give his opinion on some of the options I was unsure about (which I appreciated), while also trying to cater to my style. After making my choices, I set up another appointment to come in for measurements. Also a great experience, I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes and felt like all of my needs were met. To top it all off, the turn around time was around 2-3 weeks. Pretty fantastic, especially considering I came in with an unreasonable request to have it done in said time frame. I didn't expect that turn around time to be possible, but my expectations were exceeded. The finished product was more beautiful than I expected, and the fit was great. Overall I highly recommend. read more

TL;DR--I spent just as much on a bespoke (that is, completely custom) suit at Zeglio as I would on a "decent," much worse-fitting suit off the rack. My Zeglio suit is made of quality material I hand selected, fits me like a glove, and has subtle and tasteful indications that it was made custom for me. Zeglio's service was impeccable, from material selection and measurement on through the final fitting. My outlook on men's formalwear is profoundly and irreversibly changed. I am a professional student and needed to buy a suit for job interviews after a summer internship. I planned to spend a bit more than I usually would ($600-$700) for a name brand off-the-rack suit. I had had luck buying suits on sale at Saks and Nordstrom, but liked the look of the J. Crew Ludlow line. I bought one, to the tune of some $600 (after pant alterations), and stumbled into Zeglio (the Broadway location) looking to have the jacket altered to fit the way it would in the ad. There I met Richard Dayhoff (http://www.richarddayhoff.com/) who explained to me why the jacket would never fit the way I would want it to: the front darts in men's jackets are immovable, due to the placement of the front pockets. Instead of baldly trying to upsell me on the suits Zeglio makes, Richard spent 30 minutes giving me a primer on the finer points of men's suit fashion--from fabric selection, to the number and locations of measurements needed, to the appropriate lapel-tie-shoulderwidth proportions. When he told me that I could afford a bespoke suit that would exhibit all these qualities for thesame price I planned to spend off the rack, I was floored. I immediately arranged to come back to select materials for a bespoke suit. During our next meeting, Richard again gave indispensable advice about matching liners to fabric, and fabric to complexion and hair color. I went with a sharp navy blue suit (a little pop, but not too much) with a baby blue liner. It has all the features of evening wear, but works just as well as a day-to-day work suit with a brown belt. I met the next day with John Park, Zeglio's CEO, at the location in the loop. There, John and his assistant walked me through one of the classiest experiences of my life, taking some forty measures on me for the suit and a custom shirt, not once but twice, with Vivaldi playing in the background (some real Scarface stuff). Two weeks later, the suit was ready for me to try on, and it exceeded every one of my expectations. It fits perfectly, and has subtle and tasteful indications that it was made custom for me (like a ticket pocket, functional sleeve buttons, and buttonhole stitching that matches the liner. I cannot recommend this place enough. I only caution that, once you buy a Zeglio suit, you won't want to wear anything else in your wardrobe. read more

I've been going to Zeglio (John) for over 5 years now. During that time I've purchased 8 suits, 2 sportcoats, tux for my wedding, ties, pants, and over 100 shirts. And, I've had John attend and fit guests of mine at a couple networking events I've hosted and everyone has been extremely happy. Let me tell you, it doesn't get better than this so look no further than Zeglio! John is very interested in what you're looking for, your price point, the occasion and then trying to make sure you get the best of the best. Before and after purchasing my first suit in the beginning, I had been to other custom fitters and shortly after "blending" a couple others into the rotation for the first year I have to say hands down John was the best. You can go to many other custom clothing stores in Chicago and elsewhere, but the quality for the price point doesn't get any better with Zeglio. It's important to note that John owns his own manufacturer overseas which helps him remain most competitive while also not compromising quality. Allow 2-3 weeks for your suit, shirts and anything he makes for you to arrive, and be sure you plan on having to get some minor tweaks when the clothes arrive, especially if it's your first time. Go to Zeglio, and tell John I say hi! read more

My replacement suit continues to wear well. The quality is outstanding and it's become my go-to suit. I do recommend getting a 100% wool suit over a poly-wool blend or any other fabric. The suit breathes well, doesn't lose its shape or color after dry cleaning, and doesn't wrinkle easily. I was so pleased by the replacement suit that I visited Zeglio again for a dinner jacket (tuxedo), that the team delivered on. I trust John's eye and his fitting process, and every time I wear the jacket to formal events, I get lots of compliments. I prefer having a few great fitting pieces of clothing, and I can trust John and the Zeglio team to provide that time and again. Do yourself a favor and skip whatever big retailer you've been considering, forget the online made-to-measure shops, and head to Zeglio to see what you're missing. read more

I don't wear suits for work and I rarely need shirts for nicer events. Something was coming up and I needed a suit to wear for it so I started to look around for custom store not really thinking it would be right for me. I couldn't have been more wrong about that assumption. I narrowed my list down to a few shops and talked with them on the phone. I stopped in Zeglio because it was convenient for me and Richard happened to be free. He had me at "hello." Everything about the experience from the beginning to the end was superb. Richard knows clothing and has an incredible sense of style. He guided me through the process and not only was it fun, it was interesting and I learned a lot about the clothes I wear. What's more, I ended up with a suit that I not only love but I'm sure it will be timeless. I also got some custom shirts and people are always commenting on how nice they look and fit and want to know where I got them. As if all of this wasn't great enough, my young teenage son was with me and he enjoys fashion. He was there only because I was dragging him around with me that day. But Richard spent as much time, if not more(!), helping him with some clothing guidance and even gave him a pocket square to match a suit he needed to wear for something. Richard is amazing and I'm thrilled to have found Zeglio. If you're reading this because you're thinking about a custom suit or shirt, go to Zeglio, they will exceed any expectation you have about getting custom clothing. The first time I went to Zeglio on Broadway, I just graduated. I really needed something making me look sharp and professional since I am getting tons of job interviews. At that time, I basically knew nothing about man's suit. I hesitated to make a decision. After a few weeks. My parents came to visit me and we went to Zeglio again. My parents have a lot more experience in suits and the minute they saw the suit already made for showing in the shop. They decided to give a shot. That is how my first formal suit come from. During the process, I learnt a lot about men's suit and Richard is super helpful and knowledgeable! It took us an hour to design my first suit but, trust me, it totally worth it! I got my men suit 101 there and I believe this is gonna be very useful in my future, I learnt all the details about suit and what color is more suitable for me, for example, my skin is a little bit dark as an Asian so bright color will make my face look even darker so I shouldn't wear those, etc. The next day, I went back to do the measurement with John and after three weeks, I got my suit and shirts. John is very careful and experienced. The minutes I put the them on, I felt amazed, that suit, is born with my name! I can see a professional young man ready for his career in the mirror; I felt that confidence surrounding me which I had never felt before! The next week, I went to Phoenix for my on-site interview with my brand new suit and after a 5-hour interview, they decided to give me a job offer right away!!! Now, I just decided to make my second suit with Zeglio and I believe I will build my wardrobe of suits with Zeglio! The saying from the Richard is totally correct, "Men's suit is all about fit!"
